Liam seemed proud as he spoke of the term, his smile as broad as ever as he explained. "The Binate Path is as it sounds. It entails a Battlesoul master walking down two Paths! This is a path that is incredibly hard to tread on, most people who embark this usually stop midway and discard one Path. Why? It's simple really. It's time consuming. Cultivating with this Path is like cultivating twice as slow as you normally would. Only geniuses with King or higher graded Battlesouls can truly walk this path as their ability to absorb Essence at a much faster speed partially offsets the disadvantage.
"But those who do successfully establish themselves on this Path will rise high above others within the same level as they are. The shortcomings of the Essence Path would be torn apart simply by adding either the Body or Soul Path, the former offsets the stress of such a large Essence reserve while the latter allows you to better manipulate the large amount of Essence within you." His arms folded as he unleashed a peculiar state that shocked his students. His arms seemed to lose their structure morphing into a black light that replaced them with an orange hue surrounding its edges.
Ruin like lights were soon activated allowing the students to stay on their seats, but they could see that their writing materials flew into the air, and moved towards Liam attracted by the sudden gravitational force he was releasing. And whenever they reached a 5 meter distance from him, the items were disintegrated till only dust was left.
Noah stared at his palm with a solemn look. 'Such power! I… Will I also be able to do this?' His battle intent sparked, he wished more than ever to return to his abode and begin training once more. He yearned for the power shown before him and he knew that if he wanted to achieve his free reign within this world, he would have to possess a strength far surpassing that. But, in the end, the transmigrator calmed his drumming heart and focused on Liam's words with his now apathetic eyes. 'That power… is still far from me. I need to exercise patience for now.'
"This is the representation of the Path of the Body I embark on. I can currently embody my Gravity affinity with 65% of my body. As for my Path of Essence?" The teacher clenched his fist and suddenly all the students felt the entire classroom become void of Essence! This was the ever present Essence! Something that existed everywhere in the world, it could be scarce, sure but never void! And yet Liam had done it! He unclenched his fist, allowing the Essence to return. "You guys shouldn't think too much about it. I merely created a dome where Essence wasn't allowed to exist, this can also be done with Intent, but only specific Intents can accomplish this. Anyway these are the Paths within Maest."
"What about the Triad?" Surprisingly it was the ever silent Emery that had spoken, his dark eyes narrowed as he waited for his question to be answered.
Liam paused a bit, then sighed. "I don't know how you heard of that, kid but it's better you forget about it. There is indeed a Path which incorporates all three Paths called the Triad Path, but it's nigh impossible to embark on.
"It's easy to create an entirely new Blood Essence core as a Binate Path Battlesoul master because Essence Beasts who use Blood Essence aren't rare, you capture one and use its Blood Essence to boost the one provided by your Battlesoul and create one. Creating a Soul Essence Core is even easier since your Battlesoul alone will be able to create one.
"But creating all three requires a massive amount of energy that can't be found anymore, you will need a Blood Essence, Soul Essence and Essence source three times the normal amount than if you needed to go through the normal Binate Path. Then there's the stress and pain the Battlesoul master would go through during the process. Will you be able to perfectly circulate the different kinds of Essence while going through pain akin to one pouring lava across your veins? Even if you manage to succeed, do you think your cultivation speed will be able to keep up with your generation while three times slower than they are?"
Emery heard this and frowned. True, one could possibly become overwhelmingly powerful if he managed to become a Triad Path Battlesoul master but you would in the end be left behind. Yes, after the near death success that was the initiation of the Path, you could easily mop the floor with people at the same level. Yet they could easily advance while you would remain stuck where you started due to the slow cultivation speed. In the end, he sat back down acknowledging the fact that his train of thoughts were indeed unethical.
Seeing that the boy had sat back down, Liam smiled and continued his teachings. "It's impossible. This is why they hasn't been anyone stupid enough to walk that path in about 200 years, people that did were only trying their luck and they ended up either dead or vegetable. No sane Battlesoul master should ever try it. Now, we will move to the next class." He moved to his desk and inputted his Essence into a device that was shaped like a sphere.
Suddenly a sense of disorientation filled the students' minds before they noticed that they were currently located in an unfamiliar environment. It was an open field the size of 10 stadiums, with tracks at its edges and an empty green field in the middle.
"Our next class will be physical training. For the next few days or so, you guys will be running around these tracks."
The students looked around and smirked. They were all at the Intermediate Stage, with some at the very cusp. Running round the tracks would be very easy for Battlesoul masters of their level.
Or so they thought.
Immediately they began running, all the students suddenly felt their weights tripling, making them feel as though their limbs were lead. Terror soon filled their faces as they watched their teacher smile ear to ear as he watched some of them fall to the ground due to the sudden shift in gravity.
"Yeah, that's right. You are expected to run round these tracks while under 3 times the normal gravitational pressure, Good luck!"
Most confirmed that their teacher was probably the devil himself.
