Chapter 38 - Myron Family

Noah dashed forward like a cannon exuding extreme confidence as he dashed towards the two bandits from the group, not too strong but not among the weakest. Judging from the brilliance of the Battlesoul behind the group, they only possessed Battlesouls of the Duke Grade. And he believed he was able to skip two levels of the Intermediate Stage to battle with them.

"Beat it kid." Even as they saw the brilliance of the Battlesoul, the bandits still viewed Noah with contempt judging his battle strength by his visible age. The first one punched out, forming a lion shaped flame over his fist as he charged forward while the other summoned an armor made of earth.

"Amateurs." Noah sighed as he circulated his Essence, disappearing from their sight with Flicker.

"What the-" The Flame wielding bandit yelled in shock as he witnessed this. But immediately after, his instincts flared as an intense feeling of danger wrecked his body.

Unfortunately it was too late, Noah had already appeared behind him, his sword coated by Essence that spun around its blade. "Drill Thrust."

Witnessing the attack, the bandit only had the time to mutter the word. "Shit." And then his head disappeared.

Noah didn't even bother looking at his victim, his movements barely halted as he twisted his feet and moved to the second bandit. The bandit, seeing how his companion died so easily, shook with fear. He moved backwards, mobilizing all his Essence to bolster the defense of his Earth Armor.

Of course this barely deterred Noah, his figure quickly caught up to the retreating bandit. Appearing before the scared man, the youngster slammed his foot to the floor making it concave and using the force to stop himself. Twisting his body, he redirected all the charged momentum onto his fist while also driving his Blood Essence. "Dragon Cannon!"

"Fuck!" The bandit cursed as he rose his arms, redirecting his Essence to his arms to create a large two-handed shield. But seeing this, Noah only let out a mocking chuckle. His opponent's eyes widened as his Internal Sight lost Noah's track. It was only at this moment that he remembered that the kid before him possessed the rare power to teleport. But it was too late.

With a loud bang, the Dragon Cannon smashed into the back of the bandit's head, breaking off large pieces of his defense. And with the fluid pierce of the sword, the man now had a blade resting deep within his skull.

"Phew." Noah exhaled, drawing out his Longsword before he faced the rest of the two shocked groups.

Even the composed butler was an inch close to dropping his jaw. The man had never seen such trained and efficient youngsters in his life, not to mention that the child before him had finished already finished his task even before he, the Battlesoul master with a higher Stage.

The bandits on the other hand seemed torn as they remembered the swift death of their group members. And of course Noah capitalized on that.

"Gale Sword." Assuming his stance, Noah slashed at the air sending out multiple Essence projectiles that hurtled towards the bandit the siblings battled.

The man panicked, turning around and swinging his spear around and conjuring a high pressure water whirl that seemed to act as a shield. Unfortunately, in his panic he had forgotten about the siblings he fought against. But they didn't forget him.

Letting their King Grade Battlesouls form, the siblings showcased their talent. The boy released a sword that seemed made by lightning, revealing himself as an Assault type Battlesoul master while the girl possessed a lightning cloud as a Battlesoul most likely, she was a rare Mage type Battlesoul master.

With a wave of her hand, the girl released a lightning bolt that hit the man in the back, sending a shock of electricity into his nervous system and paralyzing him for a bit. The brother immediately moved forward upon seeing this, his figure transforming into a blur akin to the flash of a lightning as he appeared behind the bandit and slashed his head straight off.

The butler sighed in relief as he saw these, thankful that the youngster had helped out. His grip on his daggers tightened as a gust of wind blew around him. "Hurricane." Activating his first soul skill, his Battlesoul appeared in the air above him. It's structure was like that of an Eagle, except it seemed completely made of compressed wind, a Wind sprite. Noah had read about them, Sprites were Essence Beasts made of Essence alone and without any flesh or blood. Unlike normal Beasts who mostly utilized Essence with their body, Sprites were like Mage type Battlesoul masters, they didn't need a medium to project their Essence.

It flapped its large powerful wings, sending a powerful gust of wind that hit the two bandits like a hurricane. The two flew off into the distance, only stopping when multiple trees broke their falls.

Coughing out blood, the two stood up wincing at the sharp pain assailing their backs. "Motherfucker, we have Soul skills too!" The two released their Battlesouls sending out a burst of flames into their surroundings. The first taller one released a field of fire that increased the temperature around them by multiple degrees while the second summoned a large ball of fire that seemed to become stronger because of the surrounding heat.

Noah narrowed his eyes as he looked at this scene, he now noticed that the two bandits looked alike. Glancing at the faltering butler that lost his confidence looking at the attack created by two Battlesoul masters around his power, his eyes only reflected coldness as he wondered if he should save the butler or not.

"Please!" The teen boy yelled as he noticed the precarious situation of his family butler. "We can help you however we can!"

Glancing back at the siblings, then at the surrounding bandits that lay dead on the ground and lastly at the wounded middle aged man that rest behind the tree. "You'll probably regret it. But that's not my business."

With a pierce, he executed his Drill Thrust skill and launched it at the bandit responsible for the fire ball.

The bandits, seeing this panicked just like their companion, the fear of the youngster before them already imprinted in their minds. They redirected their Soul skills and launched it at his attack, only for his to disperse. The two inwardly celebrated, thankful that their defense was successful, but then they paused confused on how easy that was. Unfortunately their suspicion occurred too late.

Executing a Flicker, the youngster appeared in-between the two, spinning wildly as he cut their heads off. Pausing, he looked at the dismembered bodies. "Could have been quicker."
