Chapter 35 - God's gamble.

Nero, the chief mechanic of the USP was watching the surroundings of the Colosseum.

A man in a black robe was running at high speed.

The clothes were torn in some places

His hand was burned.

The body was covered with abrasions from blows.

The surviving hand was holding something.

While Nero was looking at it with a frown, an explosion occurred.

It was so strong that it could be heard for several tens of kilometers.

Looking in the direction of the explosion, Nero sees how traces of destruction appear on Triti Prospanzia, the heart of Atlanta.

Donte ran with all his might.

The streets of the city that used to be bustling with life have disappeared.

Many buildings were burning, corpses of people were visible.

The windows are all blown out.

The storefronts that were filled to capacity were smashed and empty.

After leaving a sufficient distance, Donte contacts his boss.

— Donte? — a voice came from the communication device, but it was not the voice of his boss.

— The old man? Donte was taken aback. — Boss?

— Just started a fight. I left there as soon as he gave the sign.

* Baaaaam!*

The sounds of two monsters clashing could be heard.

— Did you get the necessary powers? The Old Man asked.

— Only one, the second…Dead in general.

The old man furrowed his brows.

— As I understand it, you couldn't capture the Apostilization, right?

— ...yes.

— Okay, tell me, where are you?

Donte doesn't understand why, but says the address of the territory where he is located.

Soon a portal opened near him.

The old man calmly walked out of it.

— Is it possible to teleport from the Prospansion? Donte asked.

— Due to the surge of Aura, many protective and deterrent devices failed for a split second, I just took the opportunity.

Donte nodded, holding out his hand with the Devourer.

The old man picks up a sinister device.

— Despair…Perhaps the best trump card that we can play.

— The old man... — Donte he began looking at the main building of Atlanta. — It's time for you to go.

The gray hair of the old man was blowing in the wind from the collapse of the Heart of Atlanta.

With a bright flash of light, he disappeared.

Donte, realizing that his mission is over, decides to leave.

"And where is this pink-eyed one?"

He remembered Pinky.

— However, — he said aloud. — He didn't have anything outstanding anyway. If he's dead, he's dead.

"His plan was terrible, fucking terrible…If the Boss hadn't given us a new plan, then Bernard... oh, right. He's dead too".

— So recruit the ignoramus, — he muttered to himself.

Many streams of wind blew over Hades.

He barely dodged the spear thrusts.

Chronos seemed to own thousands of spears.

The speed of his blows was so high that sufficient images remained.

Hades fought a lot of opponents. They had different powers, had standard and non-standard weapons.

They used pistols, swords and blades, but not one of them did not master them perfectly.

He was used to these types of weapons, he saw their weaknesses, their shortcomings.

Swords and blades that melted from the Aura.

Pistols that were useless against him.

But he had never fought against a spear.

He never thought that a spear would be faster than a supersonic fighter.

Hades dodged the spear, but the spear in Chronos' hands dealt damage to the area on the tip, near the spear and even behind the spear.

Chronos was an unknown variable.

No one knew his strength.

No one has seen it live.

He was akin to a myth.

The three-meter height was terrifying in itself.

Wisdom was visible through his dead gaze.

Every movement was full of power.

There was not a single extra step.

Not a single extra breath.

Chronos was a peak inaccessible to many.

He was the Bearer of Despair.

If it wasn't for Looking into the Future, he, Hades, would be dead.

Seeing only some moments of the future, he evaded.

The shock waves from the spear hit his body, forcing him to expend his aura.

Every muscle was burning with pain.

Chronos wouldn't let him catch his breath.

The attacks flowed in innumerable streams.

His breathing became ragged.

Forming a white barrier, the spear immediately crashed into him.

When the spear lost a significant part of its power, Hades teleported away from Chronos in jerks.

"Why?" — he thought. — "Why doesn't the Aura of Despair affect him?"

The earth split under Chronos' feet.

A bright light burst out of the split that blinded the eyes.

Immediately Chronos left the light.

* BANG! BANG! BANG!*

A series of explosions occurred, causing a chain reaction.

One deep crater became visible after.

Chronos was hit by several explosions that took turns.

Hades was in the air, at a decent distance from the Founder of Atlanta.

— Why? The one in the sky asked. — Why don't you want to cooperate with me?

— Do you want to catch your breath by talking, child? — Chronos answered the question with a question. — So be it.

— I'm not interested. How can I put it so that you understand me? Chronos asked himself.

— It's not profitable for me to make a second deal, — Chronos looked at Hades. — I have to fulfill a promise, my being demands it.

— This is no reason to refuse me, — said Hades. — I want to make the world a better place!

—Child,— Chronos said, as if scolding a child. — I don't believe in such a blatant lie. There is no place for lies here. If you attacked me, then you need knowledge and technology.

— Do you think I don't know what objects you attacked? The Founder continued. — Research centers all over the country are on fire right now. Blitzkrieg is just a distraction.

— You,— Chronos' eyes were looking at Hades, — are only a thief who is trying to appropriate for himself what my children have created.

Chronos' face took on a more fierce look.

— The first time I asked to share them, the Atlantean did not answer anything, — Hades began. — I could only show by force what I was worth. When I showed what I was worth, you immediately decided to eliminate me. This time I also asked, but You refused me.

— Now your children are fighting against each other because of your decision. Are you happy with this? You tell me not to lie to me when you're lying to my face.

— You don't care about Atlantean, — said Hades. - Your goal is only to fulfill that promise and other than that, you are not interested in anything else.

— I want to survive. But it won't make sense if I survive alone. You need to know why all this is happening.

— A storm is coming, a storm for which we are not ready.

— Haha! Chronos laughed.

Haydiz was looking at him with an irritated look.

— A storm? I'm probably the only one who is ready for it," Chronos smiled. "But trust me, it's not that simple.

His eyes were sparkling.

— I have a hope to beat this Storm. But this hope can become Despair for all of us.

Chronos' face took on an unreadable expression.

— Our fate lies with only one being.

A bitter smile that was mixed with sadness in his eyes became visible.

On a being that is not Him, but embodies him.

— On the Embodiment of the Primordial.
