Chapter 24 Game Mode 5/6

The Dark Lord sat on his grand throne as he always does but this time he is laughing.

"Wow that was fast, brutal and magnificent." He chuckled. He wished he have a skill like that. He could see a lot of scenarios where he can use that skill. Well no one can have everything. What's important is he already have the skills he needed. That made him remember his Princes, she's been busy lately and he missed her.

She told him that she needs to prepare for something which made him worried. It's been a month now since her last visit and the last time they communicated through their minds was several days ago. She mentioned about a rebellion that she have to address.

That's one of the reasons he delayed his advance in the Never Day. He have a feeling his beloved Princess might need him. He will make sure that his forces are ready for any contingencies specially if his instincts where correct. He thought of sundering his self and enter the Deamune Realm to check what's happening but he promised his Princes that he will only enter her world once he is ready to summon her in the Ancient Realm.

He will be ready in time to summon her. For the meantime, he will proceed with his other plans. His human Avatar will play a different role. Instead of subterfuge, Sun Tzu will show his strength and stablish his influence here openly. That is why he willingly fought this Lucas publicly. He smiled as to how he was able to goad that man away from his inquiry. He was surprised on the extent of his knowledge about him for only a short time. Well he can spin his suspicions to his advantage. He never thought that he will be defeated that easily though. He smirked to himself. That's what happened when you put your guard down.

During his time as an online player he would have never spared anyone. He annihilated all his opponents and destroyed their cities with no second thought. That's why he is not harbouring any grudge with this Lucas but he wondered how that fellow treats others beneath him. He'll soon find out.

Well it's time to meet the one who saved him. He felt his saviour's immense energy when he casted the protection spell on him. He should have blocked him from feeling the pain of being slashed, bashed and stabbed though. But he decided to accept the help that his benefactor provided him.

The Dark Lord chuckled again, this will be fun.

Everyone gasp as the merchant moaned and slowly turned to lay on his back. He abruptly rose in a sitting position with his legs straight and paralleled to the floor. This earned another gasp from the onlookers. He smiled to himself, that's the style of the Undertaker. The hilt of the saber is sticking from his chest with the other end protruding in his back. The Dark Lord can feel his heart beating against it as the sword skewered it.

"What dark sorcery is this!" Someone from the crowd shouted.

"Demon!" someone shouted.

The Dark Lord looked at Lukas as he stood up.

He smiled at Lukas who was snarling and backing away from him. Then his opponent summoned his swords again to finish the job.

"That is enough Lucas!" A tall masculine figure with a black staff walked out hunching from the crowd.

Lucas glanced to the old man with his long white hair and mustache. Lucas' eyes went wide as he recognised him and immediately let go of control over his weapons.

"Your actions is unbecoming of the stature of your position young man." The old man ambled slowly.

"This man should be arrested Grand Wizard Caled. His activities were dubious the moment he came here." Lucas accounted

"Tell me young man, since when did your rank gained the power to become judge and executioner?" The old man looked at Lucas sharply.

The Dark Lord recognized the Wizard immediately to his surprise. He met him several months ago from the Galan Wall. Suddenly the sword that was plunged to his chest shattered then faded. He staggered from the pain as if the sword was violently pulled out from him. .

The Wizard's black staff shattered into pieces as the merchant's wounds were healed. "You owe me a staff young Lucas. Your insolence forced me to sacrifice my weapon to shield this warrior who just happened to spare your life." The Wizard continued in a cold voice.

"But Grand Wizard I did not -" Lucas tried to justify his actions but the old man cut him off with a calm voice devoid of any emotions.

"Be careful with your next words young man. Are you implying that I'm wrong?" There were no threats in his voice but Lucas immediately knelt to the Wizard and bowed his head in obeisance as if fearing the old man's wrath.

The Wizard sniffed, "You will personally bring three bags of gold to my office as payment for my staff young man, and you will gather your battalion. You will come with me when I return to the Galan Wall. You are now dismissed.

Lucas stood up and bowed again to the Wizard and look at the merchant with contempt. He turned around and left. The crowds that were watching silently disbursed upon hearing who the old man is.

The Dark Lord just realized that the ferry have reached the city. He was so focused on avoiding the the knight's swords that he failed to notice the ferry docking on the outskirts of the walled city.

The Dark Lord watch the Wizard warily as he approached. "How is young Maia master Merlin? Where you able to rescue her?" The Wizard asked smiling.

The Dark Lord's throat has dried up. "I'm sorry Grand Wizard, but you must've mistaken me from someone else." The Dark Lord replied trying his best to look confused.

The Wizard looked at him for a long time. "You are wearing the same armour." The old man said still looking at him.

"Oh you must be referring to master Merlin. He is an elf, I paid him a commission to make me this armour." The Dark Lord tried very hard to look sincere.

"And may I know your name young man?" The Wizard replied looking him straight in the eye.

"I go by the name Sun Tzu Grand Wizard." The Dark Lord held on with his composure. Then he saw the old man's eye twitched to a smile then he roared with laughter.

"Tell me Master Sun, have you studied under the tutelage of this Professor Dumbledore too? The old man asked in-between laughter.

"Yes I'm one of his students." The Dark Lord replied stubbornly, let him chew on that Muggle haha!

The Wizard continued laughing, "I'd like to meet this Professor Dumbledore one day." The Wizard replied snickering.

"I'm afraid that's not possible since the Professor already passed away." The Dark Lord replied doing his best to sound solemnly.

"Oh Master Sun, I'm sorry to hear that. I have a lot of questions for him." The Wizard replied seriously, then he started walking towards the ship's ramp and beckoned the Dark Lord to follow him. "Never mind I'll find out about your professor soon enough. Come join me. I assumed that you haven't been here before." The old man continued. "Let me show you the tavern that serves the best ale and food in this city."

Ushnar threw another punch to the elf's body. The prisoner cried out in pain. "Please! No more, I've told you everything I knew." The elf pleaded while crying.

The orc swung his fist again and hit the elf in his sternum. The elf cried in pain. "Now tell me what was their plan? Where were they hiding?" Ushnar asked as again.

"I've told you before great orc. They didn't share their plans to me, they just left without freeing me." The elf cried begging not to be beaten.

The orc kicked him hard enough that the elf doubled over trying to catch his breath. "You need to understand this elf. I will not allow my son's future to be destroyed or my pack to be executed. I will break every bone in your body and cut you slowly to pieces until you tell me where they are." The orc declared severely.

The elf tried it's best to cringed away from the orc. "I-If you worry about your family or your pack from what happened. I-I know someone who can help you, he can ensure your family's safety as well as your comrades." The elf pleaded with wide eyes in desperation.

Ushnar laughed bitterly at what the elf suggested. If it can only be true. He hit the elf again with his fist. The elf grunted in pain. "You dare insult my intellect elf? You think you can fool us or play games with us?" The orc hit the elf again several times until the elf is left sagging from his bindings.

"Now for the last time, tell me where they are or I will start breaking your bones."

"Borkul, will help you." The elf pleaded again.

Ushnar was taken a back at the mention of their clan leader. With a snarl he grab the elf's neck violently with one hand and squeezed it tightly. "How did you know his name?" he growled fiercely.

The elf's face turned red from being choked. Then suddenly the elf's demeanor changed and the elf started laughing. "Your clan leader Borkul serves a new master now orc." The elf declared with a renewed energy and confidence that Ushnar thought the elf never had.

Ushnar balled his fist and he threw it on the elf's face. To his surprise the elf ignored his punch like it was nothing but a breeze in the air.

The elf looked at him smiling, "Would you like to meet your leader's new master? Here let me show you."

In a blink of an eye the trees where gone replaced by a wide court room with floors made from inlaid marbles and other rare stones. In the end of the room lays a great throne made from the skull of a huge dragon. Beneath the throne are piles of bones and skulls of every creature in Ancient Realm. "What sorcery is this?" Ushnar breathed out. He is certain that the elf have somehow made him hallucinate. He tried to blink and shake himself out of this nightmare. Then he saw the figure made of shadow sitting on the throne looking at him with those blazing eyes. Every bone in his body locked and stopped from moving from the horror that he felt.

"Do you know who I am?" The figure made of shadows asked him in a deep ominous voice.

In a blink of an eye he was back in the forest facing the elf who is still laughing at him. "Did you see the Dark Lord orc? Will you serve him?" The elf is laughing now like a maniac.

Ushnar snapped out from his paralysis and threw several punches to the elf. "What did you do to me!" He roared in anger.

The elf just shrugged the blows and continued laughing. "He will conquer and rule all the Dark Realm you know? Will you serve him? Or do you prefer to die?" The elf burst into laughter again.

"Fool! Do you think your meager illusion is enough to defeat the demon emperor?" The orc growled at the elf. He is getting tired of hitting him. "Let's see if breaking your bones is not enough to make you talk". He decided that he will start at the elf's fingers.

"Illusion?" The figure sitting on the throne asked him. Ushnar looked around him in shock, he is in the court yard again. suddenly he was plucked in the air and violently brought floating infront of the figure made of mist. "Illusion?" The shadowed figure sitting on the throne with his blazing eyes asked again. Suddenly he was alone on top of a very high tower. Ushnar gasp as he saw the large city being built by countless goblins below him. He saw many slaves from the light races working together with the goblins. He looked around him and saw the vast walls protecting the city. He can see that those walls where heavily guarded. He looked to the east and saw a huge army of dark creatures he can't identify. He looked up and saw the nine moons floating in the night sky with the stars. He is somewhere in the Dark Realm he is sure of it.

"Illusion?" someone asked again behind him.

Ushnar turned around quickly and saw the dark figure with his burning eyes. Beside him knelt a tall heavy black maned orc that he recognised very well.

"You summoned me Dark Lord?" The huge orc announced still kneeling in one knee to the dark figure.

"Borkul, this orc claimed that everything here is an illusion."
