Chapter 1 - Mission accomplished

A handsome young man is sitting back in the plane that takes him back to his country, after he has completed an enormous mission. He was ordered by his father to meet an important client for their company. The handsome young man went with his personal assistant and best friend.

"You are great! I've already told you that you have the potential and abilities that your father had. And only you can fulfill this task well. But you never believed in me," said Umar.

"Yeah, I wonder why you keep forcing me to join the company. Don't you know I don't like it, "said the handsome young man? He was never interested in his father's company. Because he also has a different dream.

"Dislike that! If not you, who else will lead the company," Umar replied.

"Why do you have to be confused, isn't there still Zainal? Why should I?" asked the handsome young man. The two of them always fight when they meet and discuss company problems. But Umar did not respond, he just smiled because he finally managed to persuade Zaidan to do his job. The result is also not kidding, their mission was perfect. The client really liked Zaidan's idea. For Umar, all that is much more important.

Zaidan is a handsome young man who is the first child of the Nugraha family. As the eldest son, he has a great opportunity to replace his father as the head of their family company. But Zaidan has no ambition to control his father's company. He was a young man who wanted to live a simple and peaceful life without big issues weighing on his mind. During this time, he worked as a lecturer and felt comfortable in his profession. But sometimes things don't match up to human expectations. Their father suddenly became ill, so he couldn't move, so Zaidan was forced to replace the middle-aged man's duties.

But he is a smart and intelligent man, he is capable of doing things no one else thinks of. Everyone thinks that Zaidan's intelligence is inherited from his father.

A middle-aged woman sat in front of the window, sitting in her wheelchair. The woman looked at the photo in her hand. In the photo, you can see a little baby who is still very tiny. It was a photo of his beloved daughter who disappeared in the middle of the forest while they were having a picnic there.

"Honey, haven't you been able to forget our daughter?" a middle-aged man approached the woman and hugged her from behind. The wife lifted her face as tears rolled down her face.

It had been 20 years since they had lost their daughter. They had put in significant effort and hard work to find Javier, but none of them had succeeded. They had spent a lot of time, effort, and money trying to find their missing daughter. Furthermore, they had tried many ways to find the girl, but reality led them to failure. A failure that made the middle-aged woman couldn't help but cry. The failure made the woman so sad that her body became weak, and she was forced to sit in a wheelchair.

"Come on, Mom! You have to be honest about everything. All of this is fate, we can't fight fate." The middle-aged man tried to calm his wife down.

"Pa, why did you ask them to stop the search? I'm sure that Javier is still alive, Pa. I'm sure he's trying to find us. Please continue the search for our son, Pa!" The middle-aged woman begged her husband to continue the search, even though the search had been going on for 20 years. But Lina Wijaya is very sure that her daughter is still alive.

"Mom, how long are you going to be like this? We've been searching for 20 years. Papa thinks that is enough time for us to wait and attempt to find his whereabouts. Never mind, Ma, Mama better forget Javier. Isn't there already, Lana?" The middle-aged man was already tired of the life he had been leading so far. The husband and wife were so focused on their missing child that they forgot they had another child. The husband and wife's concentration was only focused on Javier, they would forget if they had another daughter.

"Daddy? Why doesn't daddy understand my feelings? He is the child I was carrying for 9 months, and I also gave birth to the one into the world. But I didn't even have the chance to see him grow up. I am a bad mother. At least let me correct my mistake, Pa. I know that I am the one at fault. If only I had not forced you to go there, if only I had not forced you to have a picnic in the forest, if only I had listened to your words, none of this would have happened, Pa. I am guilty, I should be punished. Not him!" The middle-aged woman was crying. For 20 years, he was haunted by the guilt that was in his heart. For 20 years he has never lived a quiet life, let alone happy. Happiness disappeared from his life, a smile also disappeared from his face. He just sat in front of the window and kept praying for his daughter to come back to him.

"Congratulations, my son! You have made papa proud. Congratulations that you have managed to get a wonderful project. You are Papa's son!" the middle-aged man was constantly praising the son. He is very proud and happy because he has a smart son like Zaidan.

"Alright, since you have already completed your mission. Papa gave you a present. You can't refuse it," continued Nugraha to her eldest son.

"Present?" Zaidan asked. Most of the people love gifts, but this person is different. For Zaidan, gifts are something very scary. Like this time, he was sure that his father had different plans.

The middle-aged man handed Umar an envelope. The handsome young man who works as Zaidan's personal assistant smiled, accepting the envelope. He immediately opened it. His eyes widened when he saw what was in front of him. He repeatedly thanked him and planned to leave Nugraha's room.

"What's in it! Tell me?" Zaidan ordered Umar. But the handsome young man was broken to say anything, he just kept trying to grab Zaidan's hand and take him out of there.

"Say it quickly." Zaidan rebuked, who was getting annoyed.
