"Cleo, what are you doing!"
The sound of Darren's scream echoed as soon as he was at Cleo's door. His heart was pounding hard, about to explode, leaving scattered pieces. Darren was about to step on his feet, running to grab Cleo's body, but was held back instantly when he saw Cleo moving his legs to hang on the edge of the balcony.
"Stop! Or will jump!"
And that word instantly made Darren's heart pump hard. His face was deathly pale, as if blood had been sucked out. His mind was confused, his breath was blocked. The thought of Cleo's small body falling from a very high height really made Darren fall into an incredible fear. The boy didn't realize how eager he was to make a quick dash just to catch Cleo's body and then hold her tight. Darren tightened his indignation, giving instructions to the rest of the bodyguards and servants to retreat through the gesture of his eyes.
"Cleo, don't jump. It's very dangerous, quickly get down from there dear. I will grant your wish." Darren softened, biting his lip as he spoke to Cleo.
Cleo shook his head weakly, his tears pouring profusely.
"You liar! I hate you!" Cleo cried out with all his might, revealing his jugular veins of extreme emotion.
Darren raised his hand to rub his face in frustration. "No. I promise to fulfill your wish. Get down, Cleo, you could fall."
Darren's trembling voice from holding back tears made all eyes look at him simultaneously. Not once did Darren show anxiety on his face, even more so, about to hold back tears of fear. Even when Cleo had a fever for days, Darren just flinched, silent with his flat face. He only visited Cleo when he had time, and he did it when his son was asleep.
"You always act like a stranger to me. Yelling at me, talking rude, you never even talked like a father to me. You live in your own world, while I, you, leave me alone. All the luxuries you give me have no meaning for me! I don't want any of that." Cleo's body is slightly by and his left foot reflexively hangs over the side of the balcony. Luckily, Cleo moves swiftly, holding his body by concentrating the entire load on his right leg.
Seeing that, Darren's heart seemed to be torn out by force. He seemed to watch the moments of death, stretching his life with great pain. Darren felt so much pain, this fear was excruciating. Even when Darren pulled the trigger of his gun viciously, not the slightest bit did he feel scared or thoughtfully weighed in.
"C-cleo, I'm sorry. Please don't be like this. I promised I'd improve my attitude and pay more attention to you."
Once again, all eyes were turned simultaneously towards Darren. It was obvious the shock mixed with shock condensed on their faces. The bodyguards and servants instantly returned their eyes when they saw Darren's sharp eyes staring in horror with commemoration. Fear crept in, making their entire bodies tremble.
"No! I don't want to!" said Cleo in a lofty tone.
"Then what do you want!" Darren spoke in a tone no less high. His patience thinned. "Tell me what you want, Cleo." Darren repeated his words.
Cleo was silent for a moment, his eyes fixedly staring at Darren. His voice sounded hoarse when he spoke because of the remnants of his crying.
"I have asked you to marry Aurora and give you a chance to think until tonight. But the night is getting old and you haven't come to me for an answer." said Cleo in full spirit, while wiping away tears with his fingers.
At that very moment, swear words immediately gathered in Darren's mouth. His son has gone mad. How could he possibly marry Aurora? Darren can't. He has to be firm, so Cleo understands that he's in charge here. And the word is an order with no offer at all.
"No! I will never marry that woman! You can ask for anything, but not by marrying Aurora." Darren replied in a cruel, thunderous voice.
Cleo was stunned, his tears welling up again. His eyes were blank, his mouth trembling as he spoke.
"So you'd rather I die than fulfill my wish, would you?" he asked in a helpless voice.
Darren pulled his hair out to vent his deepening frustration.
"Please, Cleo, marriage won't work if there's no love. I didn't like her and vice versa. You understand that." Darren ventured to step up, slowly and carefully, trying to grab Cleo's attention.
"But I really like Aurora, Dad? Can't you lower your ego for me?" Cleo's choked voice was forced to speak until it made the atmosphere quiet filled with sadness.
Darren raised his hand over his head, showing a gesture of surrender. He could no longer see the expression on Cleo's face. He had run out of words, no longer able to do anything. As Darren's steps drew closer and closer towards the balcony door, he immediately stopped, not wanting to take any chances. His eyes were blue when he spoke.
"All right. I'm going to marry Aurora." said Darren in a long pull.
Hearing that, Cleo's face instantly shone. His eyes widened with pleasure while his lips parsed a brilliant smile. Because of the overwhelming sense of happiness, Cleo lost his level of alertness to make his legs slip and fall. However, Luck was still on his side because Darren had his hands clasped tightly. Apparently, the man jumped quickly when he saw Cleo's shaky body and swiftly caught Cleo's wrist so that it made the man's body hang on the side of the balcony. The sound of shouting at each other instantly filled the room.
"Cleo, don't let go of Daddy's hand."
Darren said in a hissing voice, and then pulled Cleo's hand firmly.
Cleo's body is immediately captured by Darren then carry into his arms. Darren put his hands around Cleo's back, clasped his tightly as if afraid to escape his sight, then his face lowered and then awarded a successive kiss on his son's head. Darren felt Cleo's shivering body while his lips turned blue. Darren's heart raced faster when he saw Cleo had fainted. He is really panicking, then pressed his face against Cleo's face, absorbing the coldness emanating from the dewdrops. He hugged his son tightly and then rubbed his back to give peace.
"Call the doctor!"
The sound of that scream instantly jolted them from a sense of shock mixed with overwhelming fear. With lightning speed, they rushed out to do all Darren's orders.
"Sir, doctor Evan will arrive soon. It is better for Mr. Cleo to lie down, his clothes should be changed immediately." Anthonio said with gasps of breath, still not fully conscious of the shock.
Darren nodded, then carried Cleo into his arms. When Cleo's head had touched the surface of the bed, Darren couldn't help but stick his forehead on Cleo's forehead. The son has survived, nothing has happened. Everything's fine. He saved his son. Darren could not imagine how he had unknowingly jumped to the edge of the cliff to catch Cleo's body. He almost fell because he lost his balance. Lucky Darren immediately sprightly concentrates the weight of his gigantic body on both feet.
"Get the clothes. Let me change it," Darren said without looking at Anthonio.
Anthonio nodded and turned his head towards the guard who stood guard in front of the door. Anthony spoke through his eyes.
After giving the order, Anthonio looked back at Cleo, who was lying on the bed. Instantly, his head lifted and his eyes moved when he heard Darren's voice again.
"Bring Aurora to me. If she refuses, burn and destroy the orphanage. She must be responsible for all this." Darren said by clenching his molars with a mysterious smile.
Aurora, look at what I'm going to do to you!
