Chapter 15 - Super Blood Moon

Mrs. Windsor nodded. She had heard it before but had never seen in person. So, for now, all Mrs. Windsor could give was an incoherent mumble-like answer.

Lucy thought, how to start looking for a flock of people with the same ability as her?

That's impossible, if she would travel around the world to do some quests.

She would think about it later. But, for now, it seemed better for her to rest and forget all that happened today for a moment.

Meanwhile, in another part of town, a man was finishing a sketch of a painting on his computer. David is one of the famous superhero comic artists in the city, and many well-known editors use his services.

Still staring at the computer screen, David sketched a drawing that had to be submitted in a few days to the editor. He is just a low-paid comic artist. None of his comics has become a best seller. He realized there must be a flaw that he had to fix, but… He don't know what. He still couldn't figure it out for sure.

Besides the computer, on the left side of the keyboard was an ashtray of cigarettes, almost spilling all of its contents. Don't tell me he never cleaned the ashtray. He is perfect. But his addiction to paper-wrapped nicotine was powerful.

Whether he died, he could smoke two or three packs of cigarettes in one day. Only those cigarettes could make him think straight as he poured his ideas into an old computer—his father's legacy.

"If only I could know the future by just making a sketch, of course this would be very good. I can change events and can bring back someone who has left me forever," he said alone.

After a while, he felt a very intense sleepiness attack, his eyelids blinked and his head began to become unbalanced—as if he was about to fall to the table. And, he fell asleep—with his head down, his left hand touching the wireless mouse.

Suddenly he straightened his head again. Then, without realizing it, the fingers moved the mouse, making another sketch on a new sheet. Still, with both eyes closed. And he hasn't realized it yet, or is he delirious in a dream?

...

David was in a place so unfamiliar to him, and there wasn't enough light, dim all around. But, honestly, he seemed to recognize where he was now.

David looked back, and there was his painting there. A picture of a demon battling a handsome-looking angel with large white wings on the back of his body.

"W-where is this? I kind of recognize this place," he said to himself. Inside the room, he felt that someone else was present with him. Even though the lighting was deficient, his instincts told him someone was watching him.

"David Garcia, welcome. I've been waiting for you for a long time, you finally appeared here," said a male voice. David squinted his eyes, trying to sharpen his vision.

"Show yourself, I can't see you!" David orders. He was annoyed and didn't like the dim light in the room. David has always worked with noticeable lighting.

Being in a dark room made his chest tight. All the oxygen around him seemed to decrease for him suddenly.

Slowly, the figure in the painting came to life. Then, finally, the demonic figure became very real in front of David.

The fear that David felt instantly became intense. The figure he described was not so prominent, as significant as what was in front of him. This is scary, never imagined by David before he had to find a terrible figure in his painting.

David moved back, intending to get away from the demonic figure. Although his eyes were round and extensive, with saliva flowing from his fang-like mouth, he thought that if the demon attacked him, he would die instantly. Imagine the fangs and sharp teeth biting him.

"D-don't come any closer, I don't like seeing you!"

The wings on the demon's back moved and fluttered, making objects around it fly irregularly. Even David could feel the wind blowing hard enough against his face. One thing he didn't understand was if this was all a dream. It shouldn't have felt so real. And now, what David felt was real.

The devil was getting closer to David. The command not to approach him was utterly unheard of by the terrible creature.

"You're the one who keeps me alive, David. Why don't you join me as my follower? You have the ability I need," said the voice of a hideous-faced demon with gray-black stocky and sturdy wings, not to mention a tail with a blade-like tip.

Disgusting!

David was cornered in the corner of the room, his face getting paler, sweat pouring down his forehead and then down his cheeks. If this was all a dream, he wished he could wake up soon!

'Shit! What is this! I never expected to meet a scary demon like him!' David cursed in his heart.

The creature was actually in front of him. He stretched out one hand, then aimed it at David's neck. The nails were sharp and black, cold against the skin of David's neck.

"What do you want? I can't believe you exist, you bastard! Go!" expel David. I swear to anything, and he wanted to die. His legs trembled and felt weak as if he had no bones.

The creature laughed loudly, its laughter echoing through the room. And this is so annoying!

"You are the one who made my form real with the abilities you have David. Soon there will be a super blood moon in the city, and that's when the awakening of all beings of darkness will fully awaken!"

David shuddered to hear that, a super blood moon? What kind of eclipse?

During this time, he rarely saw a total lunar eclipse, which must have been very dark and scary. He could not imagine a super blood moon at night. Who knows what it would be like? He thought the words that the demon had just said were mere gibberish.

"You just prove what I say, David." The demon chuckled and soon disappeared from David's presence.

...

The sound of an incoming call on David's cell phone woke him from sleep. His breath was panting and ragged, and sweat was pouring out. His air-conditioned room couldn't contain the heat he felt.

For a moment, David was stunned to see the computer screen. What was originally a new sketch has become a complete picture. When did he do it?

"Hello?" David picked up the call but didn't recognize the caller's number that appeared on the screen.

The sound of heavy breathing could be heard on the other side. Then the caller said, "Tonight is a super blood moon, David."
