Chapter 6 - Blank Canvas

~~~~~~A few days later~~~~~~
Janette could be seen sitting on the grass in the front yard of her house by herself, although she lived in a village with her family their house was a bit secluded by the outskirts, so her days went mostly uninterrupted.
Her days changed a bit due to the next step of her training but remained painfully boring.
[This is getting a bit tiresome. Every time I fail to make this weird barrier a lot of my juice just vanishes, this is really exhausting...]
[Eric said that I should try to surround myself with this energy but it hasn't been really helpful. I mean, I kinda have an idea but haven't felt like trying it...]
Janette fixed her posture and took a deep breath...
A tiny amount of energy started to leave her body as if it was steam, she took a second to familiarize herself and turned serious...
This vapor started rubbing on itself and vibrating, she planned on taking advantage of this movement in order to make static electricity. What Janette didn't expect was that this action wouldn't be painless...
As this friction created a charge her hair started to float slowly, and small arches of electricity entered her body slowly cooking her, but she was fixated on utilizing this opportunity to its fullest.
[... Ahh, Shitt... I. Hate. Electricity!] While gritting her teeth Janette couldn't help but moan because of the pain. But after enduring only so much she could feel her consciousness
slipping away.
And everything turned black...
After a few minutes, a loud bang could be heard as a door was opened by a heavy blow, almost blowing the door from its hinges...
"Nana... Janette is..."
Eric carrying Janette in his arms strode hastily and placed Janette on the kitchen table. Nana stopped what she was doing immediately, went to look at her, and after a few moments said...
"She's ok... But she passed out." With a big sight, Nana continued...
"She's another training freak... she will be ok in a few hours, let her rest for the day." Said Nana while she stroked Janette's long brown hair...
Although Eric worried way too much about trying to not show weakness after Jhoan's passing, to be completely honest he was barely holding on...
Even if his personality was cold and uncaring there was always something you could do to make him lose his marbles.
Hurt his family.
And after seeing Janette full of red marks and burnt skin passed out on the loan he feared for the worst. Now a few minutes later his head started to cool down but he couldn't understand how it all happened...
This part of her training was supposed to be completely safe, yet she got hurt somehow, and he knew nothing about how or why.
Eric was stunned. Only a couple of things passed through his mind but he would have to ask her to show him what she did.
Meanwhile, Janette was still out. But not necessarily unconscious.
Janette found herself in an infinite grassland, the terrain was completely flat but she couldn't see the end of it, the weather was nice, but she couldn't see any kind of celestial body whatsoever. As if this place was perpetually cloudy.
[I wasn't expecting to get abducted by aliens so soon, those guys sure aren't messing around...]
[They didn't even set up a date beforehand, what kind of terrible host does that?]
[Now being serious. Where the hell am I?]
"Hello? Anyone here?"
"I'm going to start eating your grass if you don't mind!" Janette picked up a handful of grass from the floor and was about to put it inside her mouth when she suddenly stopped...
[Nothing...]
Janette dropped the handful of grass she had just picked but as she was about to throw it away it suddenly disintegrated into particles of light.
[Ok... being fair... that was absolutely awesome!]
Janette's expression was full of confusion and expectation. Marcus was never the adventurous type, be it because of his poor health or the lack of possible adventures a 20-year-old could get in his previous world but as an avid reader, almost all his wet dreams were coming true with enough time!
Sadly... he was no he no mo...
After a minute of silence praying for his lost Jhonny, Janette decided to move on.
Now she only needed to understand one thing.
"Where the hell am I!?" Janette screamed but nothing came out of that, not even an echo in the distance.
[Well, I fried myself into this mess... maybe can I fry myself out of this mess? I'm not making any sense, not even for my standards...]
She started channeling her energy nonetheless, and after a few minutes of mental preparations, she started to make this energy of hers transform again. But she failed...
[I need to get rid of my emotions if I want to succeed. But who in their right mind would put their finger in the electric socket knowing it would hurt???]
[You need to get out of this Janette, you can do this come on...]
After a few minutes, small blue arches of electricity started to fly around her and strike her once again...
[This hurts like hell...]
With each passing second, a small number occupied a portion of her field of view. Weirdly enough it was in Merriweather font...
Passing thoughts aside, even tho she was being cooked alive Janette wasn't willing to stop... She didn't know what that small number meant but the fact that something was keeping her record was a bit consoling to her hurting mind...
After about two minutes something else started to accompany that small number. Janette wanted to laugh out loud when she saw it. but she knew that she needed to keep her focus in order to endure this agonizing pain.
and the tiny little number that almost made Janette lose her temper was...
