Chapter 5 - Training before an adventuring

"So, William, your aura is dark red. That is pretty good. It's still average but still good."

"What do you mean by average?"

"Well, there are ten types of aurae. Your's in the middle of the grading level."

"Well, what is your color? If mine is so horrible."

Michem took out another piece of paper, setting it in his palm. *vwoom* The paper lit on fire, burning with a light purple. The very vibrant and bright fire was admitting his power and capability.

"This shows my power control. Currently, my aura is three places above you, but that doesn't mean you aren't destined to be greater. If we work hard, I can grow your aura to a light orange by 16."

"Is it really that hard?"

"Well, considering it is an aura increase of three times, you would have to have pretty significant ability control in the three main styles, kaly, cheirago, and otac."

"So is this why you are so strong?"

"Yea, it took some years, though. But you are an exception. You have a goal, so we must achieve it in little to no time."

"Well, how will I master the control of all styles and raise my aura color?"

"First, let's gauge the abilities you have. Next, let's take your style and master it in each ability. I noticed you can use fire from watching you punch, and it looked like a kaly."

"Yea, I don't know what that is."

"Kaly allows you to embody your powers. You can basically cover your body and take on its properties. Now we need to figure out which family you are a part of."

"Family? Like my parents?"

"You could say that but not necessary. The fire clan tree is massive and extensively spread out, starting with the first clan leader Cole. He was given the ability to star destruction from the god Exaldera. After the war and the death of the torrential father, Lucious, Cole had five children, Hugh, Flint, Ember, Sol, and Solarus. The first child kept the main lineage and its evolution into supernovae. The second lineage became a side branch with the ability of hell's night star. The third son and his lineage inherited Gravitational collapse. The Forth son was given Heaven's creation. The last child had universal fires and was most anthropic's ancestor."

"So I'm related to the last child?"

"That is the best consideration since the other four clans are reserved and don't want to give birth to children out of the family lineage. So this means we know what to practice on."

A grin began to form on his face.

"Hope you want more pain."

"It isn't my favorite, but whatever it takes."

"You know the waterfall you love to sit under after practice?"

"Yea, what about it, and how do you know about it?"

"Show me where it is. Is it this way?"

He pointed in a random direction and began to walk.

"No, where are you going? My spot is north of the house, not west."

"Ah, so it's over here."

They began to walk north through the forest lining the Ariddian mountain range that spans west to the north, adjacent to the town of Stagsbourn. They followed the river that flowed through the woods, coming to a shallow lake with a waterfall. The mountains above the river provided the waterfall with consistent ice-cold water.

"Here it is, the waterfall I meditate at. So, now what?"

"Time to sit in the waterfall, so get in."

William walked through the lake to the waterfall, sitting and crossing his legs.

"Now we need you to set your whole body on fire. This time instead of using your aura, which is intangible, use your ability. So do whatever you did to the tree, but on your body."

William closed his eyes. Sitting under the ice-cold water, he inhaled through his nose and exhaled. The freezing water gradually became warmer, and he opened his eyes to see fire around him.

"Hey, I did it! Michem, you see this?!"

"I do, but that's your aura, not your kely. You will know when steam starts to rise from the pond. Currently, there is nothing, but you are close."

"Oh, well, this is my new goal."

"Well, why not make this harder."

He snapped his fingers before disappearing, then the snow began to fall, the wind picked up, and the lake grew exponentially more significant. As soon as William falls into the lake, his aura vanishes as he falls deeper into the bottomless pits of the water. Kicking and screaming, no one comes.

"William, don't die here."

The water above him sealed off, slowly closing in on his fingers above the surface. The pain from the water grip around the tips of his fingers forced him to accept it. He sank into the lake, which expanded into a vast frozen ocean with no land in sight. He closes his eyes, and his body goes limp. He accepts death.

"Don't worry. I'm here. Just open your aura once more."

He hears the voice of michem. He opens his eyes to try and see, but still, there is only water. He tries to yell, but nothing comes out, so he thinks of what to do.

"What will happen if I open my aura? I'll just get warm. I guess can it burn me out? Well, it's my last resort."

He slows his movement without going limp, closes his eyes, and slows his mind.

"I can't breathe! There is nothing, Help!"

His brain rapidly fires thoughts of drowning and causes him to freak out. Falling into the void of water, his body squeezes in on itself. Then it goes dark, and the deep abyss accepts him.

"You lasted three minutes."

William was back sitting under the waterfall again. His breathing became shallow and slow. He had a shiver and runny nose. He looked around, confused as to where he was. As Michem stares into his eyes, he smiles.

"Let's do this again."

He then fell again into the freezing water. This went on for six months, Michem only stopping to sleep after dark. Michem slept on the dry land with a campfire while William slept and trained in the constant flow of the waterfall. On the last try, he could finally use his aura underwater. It supplied his ability which surrounded his body in flames boiling the water around him. But he could only control it for a few minutes before the water would extinguish the fire.

"Good job, but you must control the fire around your body. If you can do this, you will be able to escape the surfaces freezing."

A month later, he masters his abilities kaly, launching out of the water. He flew out of the water. Waking up under the waterfall, his whole body was covered in fire, steam rising from his body. He stood up before getting light-headed, and everything went black before falling face-first into the water.

"Good morning. You finally did it. Now get up and say 'hi' to your new friends."

He sat up from his bed, hand over his head, eyes closed, transitioning into rubbing his eyes.

"Friends? I have friends?"

"Well, more like fans. Go ahead, you three, introduce yourselves."

"MR. William, you are so cool! My name is Marie, and I love watching you train. I always go to your night training with my friends here. We love watching you train."

She spoke With a massive adoring smile, and as she looked at him, her eyes glowed with admiration before being pushed to the side.

"Hey, it's my turn to speak."

"Don't push. I just started speaking."

"Hey, MR. William, I'm Luis. I like watching you also. Stop pushing Marie."

"Let me talk to him now. You are done talking."

"Hi, sir. Uh… I'm Xander, me and my friends here. Well, we helped you and your master Michem home when we saw you fall."

"Oh, um. Thank you for the help."

"He doesn't stagger like that usually. Oh, is it that you like him? I mean, Mr.William is tall and buff."

"NO, Luis! No. I mean…"

"Yea, yea, we know what you mean."

Xander gave up on explaining and sat in the corner.

"Alright, Everyone. Could yall let me get dressed?"

"ALRIGHT!"

Everyone announced before walking to the door. Before Michem closed the door, he poked his head through the door.

"Good job William. I am proud."

William rose from his bed. He got dressed in his usual before opening the door, hands shaking. He walks down his stairs to the smell of green tea, And Michem drinking it, pointing out the door. He slowly opens the door, covering his eyes as the light shines brightly.

"What took you so long," lance Asked?

"Oh, nothing. So what do yall wanna do?"

"Could you train us?"

"Yea, could you," Marie asked?

"I'm still in training myself, sorry."

"It's ok, but why don't we play at Xander's house?"

"Yea, let's go to their house. He has marbles."

"Wh... why my house?"

"You have marbles, didn't you hear."

"Uh.. ok. Let's go."

They walk up the street to Xander's house.

"This is my mother, Adriana, and this is William."

Then she grabbed William before running to her room.

"Welcome home, Clara. Who is this? I'm guessing you are a new friend of hers? Well, cya."

"Your name is actually Clara? Are you a girl?"

"Yeah, have you ever heard the story "Cara of lina"? She was a national hero in the nation of Chiron during the great torrential wars. She took an alias of Arma. She inspires me to be as great one day, but I admire you more for actually doing what I can't."

"Yea, please don't judge her," Mira said.

"Don't worry. Now, where are the Marbles?"

Clara turned to her desk beside her bed, opened the drawer taking out her marbles.

"Who is ready to play?"

They played through the day till night came, and everyone went back to their respective homes.

"Hey, William, isn't it?"

William stopped before turning around.

"Oh hey, it's you from the priest's entourage. What is your name?"

"I am Sir Walter. I saw you as you were dragged into town by your teacher and friends. You looked horribly injured. Are you still ok?"

"Yes, I'm quite alright."

"That is good. Well, I was wondering if you would want more training. You know, to achieve whatever goal you have. What is your goal anyways?"

"My goal is to become the greatest Adventary."
