"Why suddenly hug papa."
"Sob... I don't want to get married, and I want to be with papa!!"
Alan then hugged back his only daughter with a sense of sadness. Hearing Olivia's cry, he looked at Jeremy, who smiled and nodded. Make room for both. Jeremy comes out, and Alana is still waiting for his daughter to finish crying.
"Princess papa, why? Why suddenly cry like that?"
"I don't want to get married, and if I get married, I'll be separated from papa," Olivia spoke, still burying her face into Alan's stomach.
The man chuckled with a stream of tears, but he smiled. The hidden feelings of sadness finally surfaced. His lips trembled with frustration when he heard Jeremy propose to his daughter. The feeling of being snatched away was present in his heart as if he was missed because something precious to him was about to be taken away by someone else.
His daughter was never second to none, especially in his own life. All his attention and time were only for Olivia after his wife died of a brain tumor and his inability to give time and attention. Alan blamed himself, and his wife died all his fault.
It happened because of his stupid ambition to build a company, and even Olivia left with his wife, who needed his attention.
"Forgive me, dear, okay?"
"No, don't be sorry. Papa is the best, no one else. It was my fault, and it's all my fault..."
"You didn't do anything wrong, dear. Papa, Who wanted you to be born into the world? Papa was wrong."
Olivia lifted her face from her father's stomach, still chuckling with her sobs.
"Why are we fighting to be blamed for this."
Both then laughed; Alan rubbed the princess's messy face. Olivia closed her eyes and knelt in front of her father while Alan was still shedding unstoppable tears that suddenly couldn't be stopped. Although he didn't want his daughter to be quickly proposed to, at least he felt a little calm because the man who offered to his daughter was Jeremy.
"We have dinner together, poor Jeremy when he comes home. I told him to go back and forth because of papa, and he told him to stay overnight." Alan said suddenly.
Olivia's tears seemed to recede immediately when her father asked if Jeremy would stay there. That means she will meet face to face tonight, this morning, and soon.
....
Olivia sat quietly beside Jeremy, who was busy chatting with her father, even though she had no appetite. Jeremy kept giving Olivia a side dish on her plate, which was almost gone.
"Eat a lot, and you are too skinny for a 20-year-old." Said the man who was ten years older than her.
And when she took the last spoonful, Jeremy opened the lobster meat before placing it on Olivia's plate, who immediately grabbed the man's arm warningly.
"Don't put it on the plate!"
"But it's over." He said while pointing at Olivia's plate with his eyes.
"You want to make me vomit full?!!!" Olivia asked without letting go of her hand.
Jeremy looked at Olivia's thin hand, holding it with an appraising look. It was minimal in contrast to hers. Alan, who saw this cleared his throat. He didn't like the way Jeremy looked at his daughter.
"Ah, my apologies, sir."
"Yes, you should be patient, Jeremy," Alan said as he took his drinking glass.
Olivia didn't understand the conversation between the two men today. She just let go of her hand and took her glass of milk. Her favorite goat's milk before going to bed, Jeremy saw how Olivia drank in a hurry that made her milk drip down her neck. As a reflex, he took a handkerchief from his shirt pocket and wiped the milk from Olivia's neck. Alan almost hit the table when Jeremy did that to his daughter in front of his eyes.
"Jeremy, what are you doing!"
Olivia was as surprised as Jeremy, and the woman even dropped the glass of milk in her hand in disbelief. If something touched her neck, the handkerchief was soft and tickled the sensitive skin of her neck until it turned red with just a tiny touch.
"Y-you!!" Olivia stammered, unable to speak correctly, and could only point at Damar's face, which closed her eyes, cursing herself uncontrollably.
"Excuse me, sir, please allow me to get the marriage book tomorrow. After that, I promise to give a wedding party according to Olivia's and you's wishes, please…." Jeremy turned to Alan, who was staring at him intently. He stood before then bowed pleadingly. "I'm afraid something unwanted will happen. Let me take the marriage book for your daughter first, uncle. I promise to make her happy."
Everyone there was silent. Even the housemaid standing far from the dining table heard Jeremy's deep voice echoing, closing her mouth, not believing that her master's spoiled daughter could be loved by her subordinates, Alan's most loyal.
"NO!!! I DO NOT WANT!" The shocked Olivia escaped from the dining table and into the room before burying herself in the blankets.
She did not expect Jeremy's attitude was so extreme and vulgar towards her. Talkative and bossy, Olivia doesn't accept Jeremy's current mindset.
What's more, she thought Alan betrothed her, but it turned out that Jeremy proposed to her, and she just complied with the wishes of this damn system. Olivia suddenly started crying; if she had known this, she wouldn't have had to accept what the system wanted. Foolish with everything, she just wanted her father alive, and the accident before she was reincarnated didn't happen.
Tired of crying, Olivia fell asleep unconsciously, and a system window popped up at that moment in front of her.
