Afika sat beside Diaz. How come Diaz was able to get a window seat?
'Can we take turns? I really want to be able to sit there,' Afika hoped while making a pleading face in front of Diaz.
Ah, Diaz knew what Afika's heart was telling her at the moment. The girl had winked her eyes as a code. Unfortunately, Diaz was too stupid and didn't understand the meaning of the wink.
'How can he be so insensitive?' Afika pressed her lips forward. She was a little disappointed that Diaz was slow. Not understanding what girls want.
"What's wrong with you? You keep looking at me. Danger! Danger!" Diaz was uncomfortable being stared at by Afika.
"What danger?" sneered Afika. It was Afika's turn now to not understand what Diaz was saying.
"Danger. You could fall in love later," Diaz explained. Afika frowned.
"In love? With you?" Afika laughed crisply, repeating Diaz's words. To her, it was simply impossible. After all, she already had a mate at school. The love of her life, who else but Alan.
Never mind. No need to dream in broad daylight. Afika doesn't want to fall in love with Diaz. Hush! Don't hate something or someone too much. Usually fate often says otherwise. The universe has its own way of uniting two hearts from hate to love.
"So, what are you doing blinking your eyes in front of me? Do you have eye pain or worms?" mocked Diaz.
"Nonsense!" cursed Afika. "That's not why."
"So?" insisted Diaz impatiently.
"I want to sit there. Can I?" pleaded Afika.
"No, you can't," Diaz firmly refused. "Already, yes! Keep the noise down! I'm going to sleep first," he ordered. He immediately put on his sunglasses and lay down facing the window.
"What a bummer he is!" grumbled Afika. Finally, she relented and sat quietly on her bus seat.
Afika played with her social media during the journey. She felt bored because she couldn't talk to her seatmate. She couldn't wait to get to her destination.
"Jogja! I'm coming." Afika wrote on her instastory.
Afika wants to share her happiness with her followers. This holiday will be very fun and memorable in her heart. Because she rarely gets a free holiday. She will design and create her own happiness during her holiday in Jogja.
Occasionally Afika looked over at Diaz who was asleep listening to music on his mobile phone. Her wireless earphone slipped out of Diaz's left ear. Afika, who had seen the earphone fall, was about to pick it up.
After picking it up, Afika was about to put the fallen earphone in Diaz's ear. She secretly watched her seatmate closely.
'His face is cute when he's asleep like this,' Afika murmured to herself. Her face immediately turned red as her gaze drifted to Diaz's lips.
Deg!
Afika recalled the unexpected incident the other day behind the school's art building. Suddenly her heart was pounding like crazy. She didn't put the earphones on. She was too embarrassed to do so.
However, it was also a pity when Diaz realised that his earphones were missing. So, she got up the courage to put them back in Diaz's ears. Just as she was about to put the tiny thing in Diaz's ear, he suddenly opened his eyes and looked closely at Afika's face.
"What are you doing?" Diaz asked. Suddenly, Afika jumped in surprise. Because she didn't think Diaz would wake up that quickly.
"I want to put this on," Afika reasoned, showing her earphones. She did not put them on. Instead, she gave them directly to Diaz. Let him do it himself.
"That thing fell off. You should thank me for finding it. If you lost it, you'd be confused looking for it," Afika said.
"Yes, thank you," Diaz said rather nonchalantly.
'Just a thank you? No other conversation?" Afika grumbled to herself.
Afika shook her head at her senior's behaviour. Diaz was very economical when he spoke. Only as necessary. It was very different from Afika who liked to babble in front of him.
The moment Diaz closed his eyes again, Afika shook her fist in front of Diaz's face. That bloke is really quite annoying, she thought.
Oh my! Why did fate bring the two of them together? Really, Afika didn't want to be with him during the holidays. It was really bad that she had to spend her school holidays with Diaz. Just because it's a free holiday. Afika just accepted fate.

Tok-tok-tok!
"Diaz, are you still sleeping? It's already 9 o'clock, son," his mum told and reminded Diaz. She knocked on his bedroom door and was about to wake him up for breakfast.
"Yaz! Wake up, son! We have to go to court. Fifteen minutes to go. Mummy's waiting." Mummy was surprised.
She knocked on the door several times, but there was no answer from inside Diaz's room. Mummy became suspicious. At the same time, she felt worried. Because Diaz didn't usually ignore his mummy's calls. Because of her curiosity that Diaz didn't answer from inside room, mummy opened the door.
"Yaz?!" Mummy widened her eyes in shock knowing Diaz was not in his room. Then, she looked at the wardrobe. There was no suitcase in his closet.
"Perhaps, Diaz left home," mummy thought. She tried to contact Diaz. Unfortunately, his mobile phone was completely inactive now.
Diaz had switched off his mobile phone. So, mummy contacted her husband. Let his papa contact Diaz at this time. Unfortunately, both of them were unsuccessful in contacting Diaz. How is this? Mummy was worried about not knowing Diaz's whereabouts.
An hour later, the atmosphere in the courtroom was quiet. Diaz, who was presented as a witness, did not appear in court. His parents were confused by the current situation. In fact, yesterday Diaz had promised to come to the court office to attend the divorce hearing between his parents.
"Diaz, where are you, son?" his mum murmured softly. She was so worried about Diaz right now. There hadn't been any news about her son.
Diaz ran away from home and left both his parents frantically searching for him. None of his school friends knew where he was. Where should they look? Meanwhile, there is no communication line that can contact him at this time.
"Cowardly child! All you can do is run away and cause trouble for your parents," his father grumbled. He was annoyed with his son's behaviour.
"Can we still get a divorce even without Diaz?" mummy asked. The look on her face showed her resignation.
"It could be. Diaz's presence is just a court formality. The judge has already ruled that Diaz's custody is yours. Even so, I still have the right to take care of Diaz until she grows up and gets married," explained his father.
"I see. Thank goodness," mum was relieved to hear that.
Although Diaz did not attend his parents' final hearing, they are officially divorced. Because the judge had already ruled on it. Diaz had been mistaken all along. He ran away because he didn't want to hear about his parents' separation.
Now, what can be done. Everything had happened and Diaz's parents were officially divorced. Both of them left the courtroom shaking hands. They feel at peace and will live their respective lives.
They will occasionally meet during holiday celebrations or attend Diaz's birthday only. That is the agreement they have agreed in front of their respective lawyers. Now, the two of them no longer have ties. They are free to do whatever they like.
"Are you going to get married again later?" dad asked mum. Before they parted ways to leave the court office.
"I don't know. We'll see. For now, I'm prioritising Diaz over anything else," mummy replied rather curtly.
"Prioritising Diaz over anything?" repeated dad sarcastically. 'In fact, she'll only be busy taking care of society and serving the country instead of looking after and caring for her son. What an irony.'
"Okay, I'm off. Be careful on the road!" mummy said. She walked away, leaving her ex-husband behind.
Her ex-husband only smiled briefly in response. He turned around and took a different way home from Mummy.
