I had worked without rest for a week , so it was then a weekend; I felt like not waking up but I had to, because I had already decided to work in the weekend too so as to earn a lot of money. Oh shit , it was not easy for me to work extra time , but knowing that my dad needed me and that he needed my help that encouraged me and made me become workaholic.
I opened my eyes and I glanced over my open laptop, I pulled myself up and swung my feet onto the floor and the tiles were a bit ice cold , I was really tired as if I didn't sleep for many nights , anyway sleeping last night was a bit difficult I tried to pull my hot blanket over my body , up to my face to see whether I could sleep but I didn't, my mind was recalling what Aiden had said , how he reminded Jessy to knock before entering his office , anyway that was not a problem but how he added that " what if you find us in private issues " I was like oh shit WTF! How can he say those words , what did he mean ??? May be he never meant what he said , I can never be in private issues with Aiden , and I will never be . Am not his type either .
I stopped thinking about that arrogant guy and went to take a shower,I finished bathing and went in my wardrobe to choose the best outfit, that day I wanted to look really cute , It was the first time I had woken up early , I even got time to decide the outfits, while I used to take the clothes that were near me and without thinking if they matched .
I put on a miniskirt and tight shirt, I loved those outfits because whenever I wore them they used to tell me that I looked like Cinderella princess, I wore makeup and it was a red lipstick and added some eyelashes on my natural ones , I put on the golden earrings that I was given as a gift from my old rich best friend and a golden necklace. I wore knee high shoes and combed my blonde hair and I tied it like a ponytail. I really looked great , I glanced at my reflection in the mirror which was hung on the wall in my bedroom, I looked really fantastic
" oh wow Amelia " said Milan my sister who was very astonished to see me
" what ???"
" you look damn cute sister, I like your today's outfit dear "
" Hmm ,… let me go " I said as I stepped out of the room but I glanced at my reflection again before I went out , for sure I was not getting tired of glancing at my reflection as I passed windows because I was damn cute .
As i passed in the dining I saw mom preparing breakfast , but I never wanted to take it because I wanted to reach at the company in time, I wasn't even hungry .
" Amelia, come for the breakfast " said my mom as she added some sugar in my tea
" mom …..
" Amelia you can't go while you are hungry"
" Amelia your mom is right " said my father " at least take a cup of tea and go "
In a minute I was done drinking my tea and I went to take a cab .
I reached at the company and went straight in my office , there was a few people because a lot didn't work in the weekend, I can simply say that the place was boring.
As I approached the office I immediately found that the door was open but I didn't think that it must be Aiden because I knew that he never worked during the weekend, I thought that it must be one of the cleaners cleaning all around. there was a cleaner called Olivia ,everyday when I come to work early I find her cleaning Aiden's office and she was my friend and I usually greet her with a warm and loud silly good morning
" Olivia good morning sweetheart " I said in a loud voice and smiling faintly. As I entered the office I found Aiden sitting in his chair looking in the documents and as he heard that loud voice of mine he looked up in my eyes and I was a bit shy
" Hmm.. I'm sorry Aiden , I didn't mean to disturb you "
He said nothing and kept looking at me from toe to my hair , I didn't like Aiden at all , I hated how I tried talking to him but still he kept quite and I really hated his manners , and I wonder if all people were like him , and i used to tell myself that if all rich people were like him the whole world would be a worst place ever . I never knew if it was his habit to stay quite and calm the whole day . It was the first thing that I hated about him
" Aiden I'm sorry " I repeated what I said because I thought he didn't hear me
" Amelia you look really beautiful today "he said as he kept looking at me
" Ah… Aiden
" Amelia I'm serious " he said as he continued looking at me
I didn't want to talk a lot with him about my beauty
" Thanks " I said as I sat down on a chair that was opposite to him
" anyway Aiden , do you usually work during the weekend too ?" I asked
" Not really, but today I wanted to be here "
" okay it's fine "
" anyway Amelia , can I get to know you better?" he said as he continued reading the documents
My eyes blinked and i had a shaky voice , i clutched my chest with a hand and my legs started trembling a bit , I raised one eyebrow and wrinkles appeared on my forehead,I was really shocked , i swear my jaws dropped two feet when I heard him saying those words , I didn't ever expect to hear those words from Aiden . Why did he say that To me ??? Did he really meant what he just said or he was drunk . And why did he want to know me better? Did he want to know anything else which was not on my CV ? He really scared me and I couldn't believe him
" Aiden what do you mean ? " I said In a shaky voice
" Amelia I want to know you better " he insisted
" What do you mean??? I m… I mean am not getting you well ! What do you want to know ???"
" About your private life, a… I mean if you can't tell me it's fine "
" Aiden…..
Aiden's phone which was ringing interrupted our discussions
" Am sorry Amelia this is an urgent call , see you " he said as he stepped out
I was left in dilemma, thinking about what he tried to tell me
" maybe he was drunk " I told myself
I kept working and kept working.
As time passed I looked on my watch ,I noticed that it was already midday , and decided to go home because I never worked full time in the weekend.
I was walking in NYC my favorite city looking it's beauty and in that time I heard a car coming closer to me , when I looked behind I didn't recognize the owner of the car because Aiden never had a car like that , I kept walking in hope that the car wasn't coming towards me .
As I looked behind I saw the same car again and came very closer to me
" oh my God , Jasper it's you ??"
It was Jasper's ' s car
" I thought that you already saw me , because you kept looking behind "he said as he stepped out of the car and approached me and gave me a warm hug , I didn't expect him to hug me
" Noo Jasper I didn't know that it was you " I said and smiled faintly
"Amelia I've been looking at you from the time you stepped out of the company "
" what !" I was a bit surprised " where were you?? How did you see me ? "
" I was at the hotel which is opposite to that company " he said and added " it's my favorite place "
" oh I see "
" Amelia it seems that you are returning back home early " he said
" yes "
" Can we have a date ?? I mean don't misunderstand me , but I want to have some time with you " he said
" Jasper …."
" Amelia please " he interrupted " this is what I wanted for the first time I saw you but I didn't have any reason to ask you this, because we were not friends, but now we are "
" Jasper ..."
" Amelia this will not take a long time "
" Jasper...."
" I know you are not ready for this and I didn't inform you but please Amelia get to know that I was sitting in that hotel opposite to Aiden's company just waiting for you "
" okay " I said and he opened the car door for me .
Jasper was my friend and he wasn't bad tempered as Aiden , he looked like a cheerful person unlike Aiden
" I'm going to take you to my favorite place " he said as he continued driving
He took me to a state forest , that huge forest enriches the countryside not far from the town and was a place where People held hunting rights until recently , I felt completely isolated from the crowds and traffic as I walked over the deep carpet of leaves . It had begun to rain a little when we first started our journey . However small patches of sunshine soon began to filter through the giant oaks promising that the rest of my day would be pleasant .
I first reached the part of the forest known as bellringer's hollow . A colorful wild flowers were blooming in a patchwork of bright yellow , azure blue , deep rose and dazzling orange .
Bellringer's hollow was a magical place , it is said , bells could be heard from time to time . Because the summer residence of the monks of Waltham once stood there , the local villagers thought that the spirit of monks rang those bells and watched over the forest . I lingered there for a while listening to the gentle sound of stream as it flowed over the corks nearby . I also listened for the Bells but the bell didn't ring for me maybe it's because i was an outsider ! And I believed that those beliefs were not true because I already heard about those rumors in England too , I really don't know if it was true or not . But That place was really amazing
" Jasper why do you like this place " I asked
" I love the history of this place , and my mom used to bring me here often "he said " do you want to drive a horse "
" yeah , sure"
He took me to drive a horse and taught me how to do it
The day was really great and I enjoyed staying with Jasper, he took me for lunch .
When we reached in the eating place I was welcomed by the smell of my favorite foods , the roasted meats which were placed in transparent glass cabinet . The air inside was really fresh and made me hungry even more , we all ordered our favorite meals and ate while talking too ,we finished eating and returned home because it was getting dark
" Amelia I enjoyed staying with you today " Said Jasper as he stopped his car near my home
" Jasper did you know where I live ??? " I asked and I was a bit surprised
" Amelia, I know that I have never been to your house but I know where you live ! "
" how ????"
" Amelia you are late , everyone is waiting for you , if you want to know about this then let's have another date and I will tell you " he said as he smiled
" No way" I said as I stepped out of the car " good night Jasper , see you "
" Good night Amelia "
The day was really great and I enjoyed staying with my friend Jasper
" he is a good guy " I told myself and I was laughing to myself too
" Amelia, where have you been ??? And why are you laughing and talking to yourself?"
As I looked in front I found Isabella standing in front of me
" a.. nothing Isa "
" Amelia you are hiding something from me "
" No Isa "
" and who was that guy ?"
" it's Jasper he just took me out today and nothing else "
" is he courting you ??"
" no way Isa , he is just a friend "
