"Where are you guys going?" asked Ellen.
"Clara wants me to come to my house. Because Clara doubts my parents will agree with her or not, I'm getting married," Smith answered very honestly.
"Oh, I see. Yes, you guys be careful, okay!" said Elen with a smile.
Smith and Clara headed for Smith's house on a motorbike. It didn't take long before Clara and Smith arrived at Smith's house. Smith's house looks so grand and big. Not like Clara's simple house.
"Come on in!" said Smith and took Clara's hand.
Clara was silent.
"Why?" asked Smith.
"I-I'm still not sure about coming to your house," Clara replied.
Smith smiled wryly. "All right, come on!" he asked by wrapping one of his hands around Clara's waist.
With heavy steps, Clara finally entered Smith's house.
"Good Afternoon," said Smith entering the house.
The house looks so quiet. There are only ornaments that are of high value. Clara was still sweeping every corner of the house.
"Where's everyone?" asked Clara.
"It's inside. Come on in!" invite Smith.
Without hesitation, Clara entered Smith's mansion. Smith invited Clara to sit in the living room with a large sofa. Meanwhile, Smith goes inside to find his mother and father.
After waiting for a while, finally, Smtih together with his parents appeared.
"Mom, Dad, this is Clara. My future wife," said Smith when introducing Clara.
Clara tried to smile. "Y-yes. Introduce me, Clara." Clara then greeted Smith's parents.
Clara saw a smile from Smith's father. However, did not see the smile of Smith's mother. Clara's feelings are so crazy. It seems that Smith's mother disapproved of their marriage.
"You're beautiful," said Smith's father.
"Thank you," said Clara.
"Are you ready to get married?" asked Smith's mother, who Clara thought was a little cynical.
"Y-yes, Auntie," answered Clara.
"Is it time for you to hesitate? Are you ready or not? Getting married isn't a complicated matter, but it's not easy either. Especially when you're still young. Think again about moving on!" said Smith's mother.
"Mom, don't worry! We're ready to get married. You already know that I also have a house where I can live with Clara. We can live together," said Smith.
"You don't need to worry! Even though they are relatively young. What's wrong if they get married young? If there is a problem, there will be a problem. I'm sure that Smith and Clara can handle it together," replied Smith's father.
"Mom is just making sure, Dad. After all, marriage is not an easy thing. Moreover, they will also divide their time for college. Mom is just worried that they can't keep their commitments and end up choosing to separate," replied Smith's mother.
"Mom does not need to worry! Just trust them! After their separation at school, we will immediately arrange their wedding schedule. Dad wants their wedding to be lively," said Smith's father.
"No, Dad. Clara wants a simple wedding. Only a small family attends," said Smith.
"Why did it have to be? It doesn't hurt, right, if you want to announce your marriage to all of your friends. Besides, many of you also know that this father's son and son-in-law are a happy couple," asked Smith's father.
"It could be that Smith's future wife is not ready to be a wife," Smith's mother sneered.
"Sorry, Auntie. I'm ready. Sorry, I was not in doubt, but I am still adjusting to the Smith family. But I am determined and confident to marry young with Smith," said Clara firmly.
"Well, Mom heard it yourself, didn't you? What was her name then?" asked Smith's father.
"Clara, Dad," said Smith.
"Clara is ready to get married. So why hesitate? Dad believes that they can happily achieve their dreams," continued Smith's father.
"Well, if that's what you want, Mom doesn't forbid it. It's just that you have to fight together. Don't let there be doubts and uncertainties. If that happens, it's better to think about getting married at a relatively young age," added Smith's mother.
"Thank you very much, Mom, Dad for your blessing. We will take very good care of the trust. Isn't that right, Clara?" said Smith.
Clara nodded her head with a smile.
"Then let's eat together! Inside, food has been prepared to welcome the arrival of the prospective son-in-law in this house,'' asked his father Smith.
"No need to bother," said Clara.
"No. It's already prepared. So you just have to eat with us. Come on! Bring Clara, Smith!" said Smith's father.
Clara gladly followed the Smith family's invitation. Even though she has received the blessing of Smith's parents, Clara feels that her mother's face still doesn't fully accept her. But Clara continues to fight for her love with Smith.
Eating at Clara's house made her a little awkward. Because this is the first time she has eaten in such a luxurious house. Though usually he also eats at his usual friend's house.
According to Clara, happiness is not only measured by wealth, but because Smith's parents do not have biological children, they may not be as happy as if they have biological children. Smith was just an adopted son. But Clara saw that Smith's adoptive parents loved Smith so much. So they don't want their child's marriage to fail in the middle of the road. So Smith's parents tried to convince Clara.
"Come on, Clara! Don't hesitate!" said Smith's father.
"Thank you. The food is good but I have enough," said Clara.
Clara glanced at her mother. Smith was still flat with her usual face. Clara wanted to chat a lot with her future mother-in-law. But she also didn't want to spoil the mood even more. Gradually maybe later Smith's mother will accept her to be the son-in-law in the family.
"After the farewell, we'll talk about your wedding date, okay?" said Smith's father.
"Okay, Uncle. Then I'll excuse myself first," said Clara and then greeted Smith's father and mother.
