With each rank, the strength of a Slayer gets a very big jump, not to mention that with such a high rank, the amount of skills that a Slayer knew would be much greater, since when a person receives their awakening, they only learned the most basic application of their power. Stark knew how to make ice stones, the man Lucielle killed knew how to turn his body into wood, and Brian knew how to conceal his presence.
For one to be able to control their power to do other things beside a single skill, one would have to train extensively as well as have a great talent, as there were some rank D Slayers who had never been able to control their own power in any way other than the way they learned along with receiving their awakening.
For Starks brother to almost reach rank C so fast, he certainly had good talent, so he would also have at least one extra skill up his sleeve.
"Wait a minute.... Roberts younger brother described all the people who came out of that Mutated Gate alive, and they all had a good power ... if you got out there alive ... don't tell me that....." Ramon looked at Lucielle with a shocked look.
Lucielle said nothing and just raised her hand and in her palm a small wisp of Hellfire danced and writhed as Ramon gazed upon its eerie form. The flames had a distinct purple hue to them now, most likely thanks to the sins it had recently devoured.
Lucielle wished she had a camera to record the surprised face Ramonwas making. "I told you I just didn't know how to control my power very well yet. I was going to tell you that I finally managed to get it under wraps recently."
Ramon was in shock for a few seconds until he finally released a big smile on his face. His caramel eyes shined brightly as he clapped her on the shoulder, he was truly happy that Lucielle was finally able to defend herself properly. Lucielle had said to him since the time she had awakened her power, but even though Lucielle was his best friend that he treated like a sister, it was hard to believe her story. There had never been a case of a Slayer awakening who couldn't control their own ability. But now, seeing Lucielle manage to control the flames floating above her hand as if it weren't simply a wisp of flames but an actual appendage attached to her made all Ramons' suspicions disappear.
"We gotta celebrate girly!" Ramon said with that big smile still plastered across his face.
Hearing what he said, Lucielles' face drained of color and she showed a worried expression for the first time in ages. The last time she saw Ramon wanting to celebrate something like this it hadn't ended well. The only thing Lucielle remembered was that sometime in the morning she opened her eyes and saw several empty bottles of vodka and whiskey on the table while Ramon was sleeping on the floor hugging his dog.
"No. No! Definitely not! Don't even think about it! I have an appointment tomorrow!: Lucielle did not let Ramon continue with his idea at all. Lucielle had to evolve her skill to the next level as well as grind out more exp for the others; she couldn't waste time now drinking for an entire day and spending three more days with a hangover.
"Damn... you really know how to rain on a parade girly, we might not celebrate it today but one day we will!" Ramon said just with a little less excitement than before.
As the two laughed and mocked each other, Lucielle noticed a familiar face from the corner of her eye looking at her with malice. When she turned to see who it was, she saw that it was Stark, still with a tired look on his face, but you could see the pride behind that tiredness- probably because he was so proud of himself while everyone else praised him.
And to Starks side, there was a handsome man with a face that Lucielle already knew as well, looking at her with a puzzled look. It was the owner of the Mercedes that sent Lucielle to park his car thinking that she was a valet.
'Well this isn't going to be pretty to say the least. Hopefully things don't escalate too much.' Lucielle thought to herself as she looked away from what she assumed was a brother duo.
