"Have you grown mad to speak such a thing!" Annika's mother shouted at her.
"Of course, you won't believe me. What was I thinking," Annika said. The man that her mother was living with, has been trying, not once or twice, to get under Annika's skirt. But her mother - being the same uncaring and neglective mother, won't believe her.
"You trust that man better than your own daughter? Annika asked.
"I do. l'd rather trust hím, than my daughter who has chosen to bring a curse upon this family!"
"So", Annika whispered as her mother's words sank in, "This is because of Aurora? An innocent girl that knows nothing about her father's sins. You judge her, and lay abuses on her, as if you are without fault", Annika spat.
