Aurora went to the small shelf, and brought something, before returning back to the divan. "I can be your confidante." she informed.
Zander smiled. "Really?"
"Of course." Aurora said, as she started to use the black ribbon to tie their left hands together.
"What are you doing?" Zander asked, staring at her fixedly. Why was it so hard for him to look away from her alluring face.
"I'm making sure you don't disappear. If you try to, you'll have to take me with you." Her words caused a dashing grin on the Lord Impaler's face - he really wish that he could take her with him. But, it was clearly evident that Aurora wouldn't survive the harshness and vileness of war, so...
"I'll never disappear on you." Zander assured. How can he want to leave the only person that made him sincerely happy. She has become the best part of his existence, the light that has shone on the darkest parts of him.
