Chapter 2 - Ch 1: A second chance at life

Hello everyone my name is Wes Williams, or at least my new name in this second chance i received at life. So you may ask how i died? The reason couldn't be more simple. I died at the age of 82 on my sleep because of old age.

When i died i met the one responsible for the reincarnations of the dead human souls and i asked him to send me at the pokemon world that i always dreamed to be a part of. He also gave me a system that show's me the summary of a pokemon i look at, and this system includes something similar to a pokemon encyclopedia that has general information about any pokemon.

So after all that i was born into a family that lives in the Pallet Town of the Kanto region. My father Peter Williams is an aide at professor's Oak lab and my mother Elizabeth Evans work's as an employee on a berry shop.

In this version of the pokemon world the starting age for someone to become a trainer and get his pokemon trainer certification is at the age of 16. Thank god for not being at the age of 10 because i can't image how many deaths of 10 year olds would happen every year, if that was the case. At least at the age of 16 a person most of the time has discarded his childhood mentality and can make some decisions about his life, with some serious thought of the consequences, of a certain action. Also 16 is the age of adulthood in this world.

Now if someone wants a pokemon there are 3 different ways to achieve that goal:

1: Catch a wild one alone or with help.

2: Become an intern in a pokemon lab at the age of 10 and by helping the professor and learning everything you can, if the professor is satisfied with you then he can grant you a starter Pokémon.

3: You can simply pay money at any breeding base and buy any available pokemon that the base has.

So i picked the second option and became an apprentice at the lab of the most famous professor of the Pokemon World. Samuel Oak. Together with me, my childhood friend Leaf Augustine and the twin grandchildren of professor Oak, Garry and Daisy Oak, also became interns. Now after six years of hard work and studying at the pokemon lab, the time to pick my first ever real Pokémon and leave home to start my journey and try to reach or exceed the achievements of my previous life is finally here.
