Chapter 21 - | well shitè

The night Arcel had forced Aurora on an adventure, the only reason she had agreed to follow through was monetary benefit.

The bounty that Arabella had suggested to put up over the necklace.

But, when Aurora had witnessed Vasil carelessly drop the sole money-bag-lifeline of hers into that red poor of kool-aid despair, her heart too had flipped into a downward descent. The sheer audacity of Vasil's free will to ruin all of the soul-sucking walking down the forest she had done when she could be getting the very much needed beauty sleep for Iris' body, was baffling.

But before she could have brought her words of detest to mouth, some bright quiver from the Lake had momentarily disoriented them. When she normality reigned her sight again, Arcel, like some messanger of God, was doing the sweet part of distracting Vasil. God's great work, Arcel Maynard was.

"How d-did you do i-it? That was super fun! T-teach me!" "Tell me! Tell me please!"

"I-uh, excuse me, please - I do not participate in such—ravenous behaviour!"

"But I want you!"

Aurora was beyond concern of the BL drama Arcel and Vasil were filming in the background. She had very carefully, in the non-agile body of Iris, succeeded to jump over one of the blunt headed crystals. She wasn't sure if Iris' body could swim or not— but she trusted her instincts. As Aurora, she knew how to swim on Earth.

Maybe it could work—? Without a moment's concern for the future, she jumps into the water, following the descending shimmers of Arabella's necklace emanating bubbles in the Lake.

Swiming fast in Iris' small body was impossible but nonetheless, Aurora had grabbed the necklace and pocketed it, for breathing was barely a concern in what felt like paper-like wannabe water, when another wave pulsed through her body and rendered her into a subconscious state of her past. Incapable of swimming, she had begun sinking.

That was then and she was grateful that Vasil had saved her but she couldn't let him have the necklace! She was to wait for the bounty over the necklace posters to go public and she would try to not-so-suspiciously gain the reward!

She had kept the necklace on her, at all times. The little fabric which was left from tearing up the maid uniform, Aurora used it to make a pouch and tie it around her waist with the necklace wrapped in between. She knew she wouldn't be searched anymore, curtsy Arcel's word.

The plan was immaculate! — but somehow, Vasil possessed braincells enough to see through it! And now — her little life was nearing to a cease.

"Huh, who would have thought it would end up like this," sneered Vasil, looking down at the body of Iris. He, as usual, wasn't wrong again.

In a dumb-struck frenzy, the ravenette patted her chest where Vasil's hand had laid moments ago. Her arms embrace her torso, grasping hands feeling up Arcel's white shirt. A slew of relief laden curse words splatter out of her mouth. "Shit-my outfit! I had just made it -!! All the maids needed to look at be and be amazed by the marvel I had created out of their rags of a uniform! Oh thank sweet baby Jesus that it safe! I was fucking terrified!"

She looks up to Vasil with an aggravated frown, narrowing her eyes at him. "What was that all about?! If you hadn't the guts to hit me— then why go to such lengths to terrify me?!" Her demanding words birth a frown on Vasil's forehead.

She seems to have misunderstood her situation entirely. How pleasant, Vasil concludes. He raises his hand again, lips pursed, as another ball of golden mist flares up on his palm.

Iris opens her mouth to retaliate— but the ball hits her! Though, this time, her eyes were open and she witnessed the giant ball of golden flames disappearing as soon as it touched her chest. Her jaw hangs, wide eyes searching for answers in the amused face that Vasil held.

"Wh-at? Excuse me? What was that—?" She whispers in exasperation, hands flailing around with her words but no making sense together. "Did-nt it not- what? Wasn't that magic?!" She questions, baffled by the scenario at hand.

"Precisely. Magic does not affects you," Vasil clarifies, holding up a golden mist laced finger to her forehead and flicking it.

"Ouch!" Iris cries out, rubbing her palm over the spot Vasil had flicked her on. "It hurts!" She whines, instinctively scowling at the young boy.

"But normal things do. So, you are neither immortal nor are you protected by some supreme defensive magic," Vasil clarifies, finally taking a step back and folding his arms against his chest. The autumn wind finds space to invade again, between them, it dances around with playful gestures and caresses to their hair.

Quite a contrast to whatever the whole of Aurora Harper was right now. A confused mess, incapable to appreciate the beauty around. Her still baffled brown eyes blink for comprehension and the only justification that infiltrates her brain is— 'Maybe because I am a princess of Zenon—? Was it, Zonia? Xenia? Ah! Zinnia! This must be a my special ability!' Joining the puzzle pieces in her brain, the bafflement in her eyes gives way to satisfaction. A bright grin emerges on her lanky face, catching the observing Vasil off guard.

"I have magic! And my magic is not being affected by other people's magic! I am not totally useless!" Aurora shouts out loud, eyes shifting between her hands held out. Disbelief and contentment embrace her half and half, and joy takes over as a whole. Yes, now we are talking! In a world of magic— does it not make her OP?! Oh suddenly her love for Iris multiplied tenfold.

Observing Iris' odd giggles, frowns, sighs and smiles, all spanning over a minute, Vasil coughs to gain the ravenette's attention. "Whatever you are, I don't think it to be a good thing." His words are cold, borderline deadpanning Iris' not-so-humble glimmer in the eyes. "Nevertheless, hand me the necklace. I know it is on you. I have better things to do." Vasil holds a hand out, golden eyes demanding his words to be compiled as quickly as possible.

Aurora pouted, resting her hands on her waist, she grins, "Whatever are you going to do about it? Burn me with your magical flames?" Her eyes challenge humorously. Vasil scoffed at Aurora's short lived memory span.

"I reckon you're forgetting how I brought you here," he sneered a reply and instantaneously Iris' hand slips to the pouch she had secured around her waist.

"Geez, chill out, no need to get violent on a mere kid. Dammit. What are you even going to do with it? Why are you all so obsessed with this necklace anyway?!" She grumbles about, taking her sweet and slow time to pull out the thing. She did consider running away, but she had no idea where she was and all her line of sight could see was an expansive orange forest oddly reminding her of Ronne.

"It's none of your concerns. Stop wandering your eyes and give it to me. You wouldn't meddle with it anymore if you value your life." Vasil comments, eyes closely watching Iris and knowing she was trying to plan an escape.

"Well shitè, do what you want. I don't care anymore, as long as I live. Just know that- after I hand this over to you, you aren't going to be meddling with the Maynard Duchy anymore, okay? You have to promise! I don't want your suspicious arse fondling the childhish brain cells of Arcel anymore." Aurora frowns, now looking Vasil dead in the eye. Her hand had long stopped wandering for the necklace.

"Aren't you loyal," Vasil snickered, looking down on the small form of Iris with his golden eyes. "Don't you speak too much for a mere mortal child?" With a swift flick of his hand, he grasps Iris' hand and raises it up. And lo behold the opal necklace gleamed through her small fist.

"Hey! That's cheating!" Aurora whines, trying to jump on her toes and grasp the necklace from her own hand but Vasil beats her to it. With a swift smack to the back of her fist, her fingers let go and the necklace falls into the palm of Vasil like a distressed damsel in the arms of her prince charming.

He lets go of her hand and steps back. Iris rubs the back of her hand whilst her crusty lips are pushed in a pout. Her 'masterpiece out of rags' fluttered with the wind and Vasil takes a few seconds to burn the sight of this strange girl in his memory.

But when she looks up, he is gone with the wind.

Leaving behind a stranded Aurora with a big tantrum, "HOW DARE YOU ABANDON ME IN A FOREST YOU ABSOLUTE ARSEHOLE!" she kicks the air, punching nothingness and venting out her absolute defeat against that thick skull of a boy. "I WISH TO SEE YOU NEVER AGAIN!" Aurora screams out again, throwing a fist at the cloudy skies.

With that, she stamps her feet against the innocent autumn leaf laden ground and crunches her way back to the Duchy. Surprisingly, she wasn't in any forest per say, as she had thought to be, but in a farther part of that garden in the Lower Bailey of the Maynard Castle. She discovers the way out after spotting the snow covered part which gave her shudders from reliving morning memories.

"I hope I wasn't too late, what if they kick me out on my first day at work?!" Aurora grumbles under her breath, feet picking up pace as she exits the garden doors and runs up to the Keep again.

"So, you know how I told you about that creature sympathiser dying? Yeah, that is why people do not use the second floor and Mercy Bridge anymore. It was a brilliant place, bless Virae, Ercel Gardens stand no match to the beauty beyond those doors. There is a whole annex made of glass— can you believe that?! Inside a room-! It's one of Duchess Arabella's spells. She's a great blossom, you know, the best. I really respect her so much! She's a little sick now, especially after that Little Vampire stole her necklace. I have no—"

"Wait, excuse me? Stole the necklace?" Snake woman hissed with her tongue out, cutting Ronne off mid sentence. Her scales change into a fascinating scarlet as her thick tail coils around the small frame of Ronne.

The brunette sucks in a breath, back unintentionally straightening in posture as the snake woman slithers closer to her. "Uh- hadn't I told you before? She was accused as a thief for stealing Duchess Arabella's necklace. She wears a beautiful opal necklace around her neck. Rumor has it that it was her betrothal gift from the Duke." Ronne explains, body stiff and eyes blinking at the piercing frown of the snake woman that was directed to her face.

"A mere maid being able to steal that necklace..." Snake woman hissed, red orbs wander, unable to comprehend, around the bland cell.

"No, I'm telling you, she is a Vampire!" Ronne insisted again, puffing her cheeks. "I have obseerv—"

"What did you say her name was?" Snake woman questions, eyeing Ronne up and down with intentions.

"Iris, I believe. Iris Bernadette." Ronne replies with a scowl gracing her face. Her amber eyes stare at the wall behind Snake woman, narrowing at the unseen figure of that little child because of whom she had to suffer in this hell.

"Charming," hissed Snake woman, slithering closer to Ronne now. Her red eyes lock focus with Ronne's and her lips stretch out in a sensual smile. She leans in closer, her busty bust inching closer to Ronne's not-so-well-endowed chest. Her tail slowly slithers over Ronne's legs, coiling around them.

The brunette is rendered mesmerized with the depth of Snake woman's slit eyes. She finds herself unintentionally leaning in, her chest now heaving against the Snake woman's. All fear dissipating as she feels a feather like touch coiling around her feet, tickling the back of her knees and accelerating her senses into an overdrive.

"You're charmi—" Ronne is about to whisper when her plump lips are caught by snake woman's ashy white lips. She tugs on Ronne's bottom lip, pecking her with heart fluttering kisses as a start. Her cohesive tail breaks into many a snakes again, slithering over Ronne's body and caging her hands and feet. Sensual nibbles from the snake's mouths over Ronne's sensitive body.

Their eyes never break contact as Ronne falls back to the ground, pupils dilated, chest heaving as snake woman kisses her lips passionately, making their lips one. Ronne moans as the snake woman's slender tongue tickles hers and the snakes begin nibbling over her sensitive thighs.

"Ahh...unng-" Ronne utters as snake woman pulls away, leaving Ronne to breathe. Her slender tongue licks a trail over Ronne's soft neck to the back of her ear. The brunette whimpers incomprehensible moans through her swollen lips as the snakes on her thighs nibble closer to parts where snakes mustn't tred. Another pair of snakes encircle themselves around Ronne's breast, giving them a rough squeeze.

"F-f-unng, ye-s," Ronne pants out, heaving through breaths as snake woman pulls the skin of her collarbones with her sharp teeth. As the pressure builds, Ronne squirms within her confines, panting as flutters rise in her stomach. She opens her mouth to scream out in pleasure just as snake woman pulls out her fangs and pierces them into Ronne's chest. Sucking out her high.

Snake woman sucks on Ronne's neck, extracting her stimulation into herself. Ronne falls to the ground, snake woman's snakes abandoning her body as she lays passed out. Snake woman retracts her fangs from Ronne's neck, raising her head as it starts growing hair. Her snakes start merging into two feet. Her red orbs tone down to amber, pupils dilating into circles. She grows two hands on her sides, chest shrinking inwards as her scales disappear to give way to a smooth expanse of a skin.

"She's beautiful, I must say," snake woman eyes herself, lips pulling into a smirk. Cracking her neck, she stands tall to her feet, now with the body of Ronne. Whilst the actual owner laid passed out in a dark corner.

"This just got intresting."
