If the door was closed, the light filtering through that small window would be the only illumination in the room.
The woman sitting on the bed was dressed in a hospital gown, her figure thin as kindling, her skin exceptionally pale. Hearing the sound of the door opening, she made no move, simply sitting with her knees hugged to her chest, her back to the door, her head slightly raised, staring at the lone window in the room.
Gu Zhiqi paused slightly as she took in the scene inside the room.
A few seconds later, she stepped beside the woman, whose presence caused no reaction from the patient, still fixated on the light coming through the window, her gaze empty and terrifying.
Seeing this, Gu Zhiqi didn't rush to speak. Instead, she seated herself beside the woman, "May I ask your name?"
