Chapter 10 - The Bridal Horse

The weather outside was as pleasant as any morning weather. The sun was not too hot and the breeze was just about right, anyone could decide to take a long walk just in the breeze of the weather.

But at this time in the royal castle of Rizzan Kingdom, the royal family had just finished with breakfast and were now sending off their lovely daughter, the kingdom's Princess, Aurelia Hastings now Aurelia Walton.

Considering that the King had no male heir he had decided to hand over his entire kingdom to his only heiress, his beautiful daughter who will one day rule the Kingdom alongside her husband the prince.

Aurelia's father appeared sad and lonely on this day but he was only pulling off an act as he took Marcy into his arms in a bout to hug and bade her bye.

They currently stood in front of the castle building not too far away from the pillars while five carriages stood in a row waiting for her. Arania Kingdom's royal family occupied those carriages accompanied by wealthily dressed guards in horses about seven of them.

Standing behind the King was darling Aurelia's aunts and uncles as well as cousins, all of them gathered staring at her with different emotions.

Some were smiling meaningfully, some out of curiosity were present while some stared at her with endless resentment. Marcy could not help but think that Aurelia had to see a lot as a princess.

Two taps on her back made her remember what she was doing, she was actually hugging the King. " Relax Marceline, I promise to set you free once my daughter is found, I give you my word", the elderly man whispered against her ears and he let her go with a soft nod.

She smiled hoping that would be anytime soon. She stared at the man behind all the lined up family of Aurelia's who was actually here to bade her bye.

" Take care", she saw him mouthed to her and she mouthed back the same thing as well, a feeling of longing etched in her green eyes as she turned away headed towards the third carriage, the one in the middle, the bridal carriage.

Gavin, it will not be long before we reunite once again and I hopefully become yours by that time, she mumbled softly to herself as she climbed into the carriage with the help of the Coachman who carefully closed the door.

Surprisingly, the people inside the carriage were not the particular people she had expected to see. She thought she would be riding with the queen mother and the prince but she had been utterly wrong. It was not the both of them but someone she had believed she would never be able to get used to.

The Princess Fallon Walton and her good friend Lady Rosamund Williams sat on one side of the carriage with their hands folded and a sinister smile resting on both their pretty faces. They looked like two witches who were up to no good.

She sat opposite them staring back at them quietly, the three of them letting their eyes do the talking and on seeing that they were doing nothing but stare, Marcy turned her eyes away from them staring at the peach curtains decorating the little window on the carriage which allowed one to have a glimpse of what was outside.

Soon enough the carriage started moving and they soon left the walls of Rizzan Castle. Marcy's brows furrowed in confusion, why was she riding with them in the bridal carriage instead of the queen and the prince?

She just could not understand and worst of all was that, the prince did not see it fit to tell her about it.

" I know what is bothering you Aurelia Hastings", Fallon said in a deep voice that held nothing but silent victory. Marcy resisted the urge to sigh heavily at them continuously staring at the window instead.

" You are wondering where my brother is. I mean all of a sudden he vanished while we were having breakfast and you had thought he was in this carriage right", Fallon continued as she watched the green eyed girl ignore her as if her existence did not matter to her but who cared, after all, she had the upper hand this time.

" This surprises me Princess Fallon, even after spending a night with her, Ash still did not even find her worthy enough of knowing his whereabouts. Could this mean that she forced herself on Ash, is that why the prince left without telling you?", Rosamund asked smiling as she fumbled with one of her hand gloves.

Marcy turned to stare at Rosamund and Fallon with eyes that expressed nothing but boredom. They appeared taken aback by her expression but they still did not back down for this time they actually came prepared.

" Not to worry though Aurelia Hastings because my brother had left a message, he said he shall meet with you at the Kingdom's borders before you officially set off with him on the bridal horse to the Westside where our castle stands tall", Fallon said in a soft voice as if showing her concern and support.

" And everyone will be offering you gifts as you ride in with Ash and no one would have any bad statements to utter, unless, Ash does not make it and you ride the bridal horse alone", Rosamund said softly before chuckling to herself waiting for the fun of it when Aurelia would have to ride the traditional bridal horse alone in front of the Kingdom commoners.

Marcy turned away from them as if she had not heard a word they said but she did understand the gravity of what was going on.

If the prince truly failed to meet with her in the border, it would be a disaster when she rode the horse alone and instead of the people's praises all she would receive would be their mockery.
