He groaned as he held his head, remembering everything that had happened last night. Shylia had a blast night, she had danced the floor to a blaze after they had gotten caught up. Than her boyfriend showed taking the stage as he danced with his woman. Several onlookers had been truly disappointed that Shylia wasn't single. Yet had to applaud the performance her man and her had done. It had impressed everyone several had bought them drinks through the night Shylia held onto her man all night cuddling up to him, everytime she had a chance. He had to smile realizing his sister was very much in love with her boyfriend. The two looked great together, he had hoped her boyfriend would get to one knee. Walking to the bathroom a few stumbles he grabbed his Tylenol and took a few. He would be doing that for a while, his sister could handle it. The club life she lived, he preferred to drink once in a while. Drinking wasn't much to his liking, yet who could say no to his beautiful sister? Taking a quick shower he dried his hair and picked out his outfit. He needed to go for a outing, to get some fresh air, to clear his thoughts.
Taking a walk through the park, he took a deep breath. Fall was setting into place, feeling it in the air as the temperatures began to lower. Taking a quick turn he walked through the trees stopping at a lake. When he seen a woman off in the distance smelling cherries in the fresh air. Lifting a brow he thought he walked towards her, seeing she had been very much alone. Noticing with a smirk, so the cherry scent came from her cigars. Her hair a dark brown with a few silver streaks, that streamed through her long hair. Several strands of hair had been of bright colors, some of purple , yellow, and pink. It had become a popular style as of lately her jacket looked much like a business coat, her jeans were slightly torn due to style. A purple scarf of a very light fabric wrapped around her slender neck.
He had to say her style was of good taste, her gloves a leather black embedded with a few gems. Recognizing the brand he nodded in her direction, as she quietly turned to him. Her brown gaze hard, yet observant the shape of her eyes had been a delicate almond shape.
The woman was actually quite beautiful to look upon, what took him by surprise was her silence, many would have said something by now. Yet she only observed him, confidently he walked up to her pulling out a pack of smokes. Looking for his lighter, before he knew it, she had pulled out her own lighter and lite his cigarette. He nodded his thanks, now he knew he wasn't unwelcome.
"So you excited about the fall coming in?"
"It's my favorite season, a beautiful time of the year." The woman stated softly as she watched him. He leaned against the tree taking another puff,
"Thanks for the light, my names Yui. And you are, if don't mind my asking?"
"My names Ataxia, nice to meet you Yui. So you Japanese or Korean?" She asked curiously taking a large puff of her cigar, watching white cloud dance in a soft breeze.
"Both, my family thinks there's a little native there. They had been doing some research on it. And you?"
"Native, and Scottish guess the bloodline states we're royalty. Yet I see it as Noblety, I'm American after all."
Yui smiled,
"We have a distant cousin who's married into the Japanese crown, we're nobelty in both bloodlines. Been in America all my life, I enjoy it to much to move to Japan."
She smiled tapping the top of her cigar with confident statement,
"Proud to be American."
Yui finished his cigarette raking a few steps he offered her his arm, oddly he felt he needed to. She watched him quietly looking at his offered arm and than directly into his dark eyes. She did it hesitantly, taking his arm She put out her cigar as he asked lightly,
" Care to walk with me through the park Ataxia?"
"It would be nice to have company, we could get to know each other a little more. So what brings you hear Yui?"
She asked as she began to walk with him, when small sprinkles of snow began to fall around them. The weather wasn't to cold, it had been at perfect temperature when they arrived in the park. Now she couldn't help enjoy his company, surprised he had even approached her. Yet now they walked together as if they had known each other for years. That's what had caught her attention as he had approached her, nothing had been uncomfortable. At that thought she waited for his response patiently,
"My mother owns a business out here, I inherited it recently after she passed away. My sister didn't want to work in the family business, so it had been handed to me. My sister would like to start her own, it has something to do with healthier foods. Guess she recently received the small business loan and celebrated her achievement last night." Ataxia listened to him thoughtfully as he explained his mother's business and his position. He than turned to her asking politely,
"How about you? What brought you down to this small city?"
"I won a lawsuit, and started my own independent living, I'm more into a quiet life. I don't go out to bars much, and keep my distance respectfully from others. Just bought a beautiful house with some farm land out here. In the process of remodeling before I bring my livestock out here. Taking some serious precautions about the wildlife out here also. So my horses and livestock don't become hunted. I have been really busy lately with the preparations. Now since fall has set in my stables will have to wait till spring. Have a few done, yet not completed to my satisfaction. It's been taking a lot of my time, so I was surprised to see you."
"Seems to me you've been really busy. Do you mind if I come out to see the blueprints of your plans. Maybe I can help out a little, since I am familiar with the wildlife. Would you mind, we can discuss it over dinner. I've been needing company anyway. What a stroke of luck."
Ataxia was shocked by his straightforward nature, it was a nice difference. She thought about it with a cautious smile she stated confidently,
"Sure, that would be nice where would you like to go Yui?"
He smiled walking further into the park with her,
"How about after our walk, I know this restaurant that serves excellent Japanese foods. Do you like oriental dishes?"
"I love oriental dishes, never had Japanese though sounds intriguing. Shall we go before the snows decide to get thicker, and colder." Ataxia smiled as he guided her to his car across the park opening the door politely for her. Dusting off her coat she swung into the front seat as he shut the door, he hit the button on his key chain starting it up. Concerned about his new company he had just met, he didn't want her to get cold. As he noticed the temperature had been changing and the snow fall was getting thicker.
