Sonora's POV:
It was getting harder to breathe
it was getting harder to live
it was getting harder to try and keep my bloody tears at bay
the estimated time I had for survival was lessening every second
I sat up on the hospital bed
the sun had just come up the birds were chirping it was a beautiful day
but I couldn't enjoy this beautiful day for my life was about to end
a parasite was eating me from the inside
the only possible cure is so close but so far
I never thought my life would have come to this but here I am
as I was sitting and thinking about life and then Alexios strolled through the door
"you know I always dreamed of meeting my beloved," I said with a sad smile
"the feeling you get when you first look into their eyes it's special it means that someone is destined for you someone who will love you no matter what and anything you face you face it with them the toughest of battles could never break them apart. Some people think of them as weaknesses but they make you powerful, stronger invincible even"
I then glanced at him to see that he was staring at me with an unreadable emotion on his face
"I know you hate me and you want nothing to do with me nor my kind but I'm dying Alexios" I looked at him bloody tears forming
"I am spending my last few days in a hospital bed with a cuff on my wrist every time I breathe an hour is taken off my life so please I am begging you with every fiber of my being give me some fucking food," I said the blood like tears staining my cheeks
he looked taken back by what I just said but he also had this slightly amused expression on his face but it was gone in an instant
he walked up closer to me and closer he grabbed my arm and ripped the cuffs off it
he then walked to the corner of the room and laid down some clothes
I didn't even realize he had those
"shower and put those on," he said and pointed to a closed door signaling that was the bathroom
I rushed to the bathroom I did what I was told to
I showered and got dressed into the white sweatshirt and gray sweats he got me
he was standing by the bed when I got out
"Follow me," he said and walked out the door
I followed behind him walking through the hospital corridors
there were whispers
death stares
glares
every step I took someone was looking at me as if I was the scum of the earth
I ignored them throughout
we walked into where I think his werewolves settled and I heard chatter and laughter coming from an open section
I followed him and then he stopped I walked in and there was immediate silence
everyone was seated at around a counter and they all just sat and stared at me
I stared back
and they stared even harder
Alexios was unbothered he walked around the counter grabbed a plate of food and a glass of orange juice handed it to me and walked past
come he said in his deep voice
I instantly turned around and followed him removing myself from that awkward situation
I followed him around we walked around this huge staircase with golf railing and big portraits on the wall
we stopped at two big doors
he opened the second one to reveal a bedroom coated in a creamish white
there was a large, ornate four-poster bed with flowing curtains
In the corners of the room intricately carved dressers stood boldly the room
Crystal chandeliers suspended from the ceiling add a touch of grandeur and soft lighting
the room was simple but had so much elegance to it
"you will stay here he said walking into the room
never leave this room without my permission
don't speak to anyone
don't answer anyone but me
don't draw attention to yourself
and never and I mean never enter the room next to this"
he ended off and turned to leave the room
"wait," I said and he paused
"thank you," I said sincerely
and he left without saying a word
I turned and looked around the room with a smile
I rested the food on the dresser and sat down on the edge of the bed
I looked into the mirror and the person I saw was unrecognizable
my locs had stained blood in them
my lips were dried and busted
I had a scar from the blade that ran against my cheeks
my body had been battered and bruised
my eyes had this lifeless look
and I looked completely and utterly drained
I turned away from my reflection not liking the person I was seeing
I grabbed the plate off the dresser and saw that it was two pieces of chicken sandwiches
I ate and lay on my back staring up at the ceiling
unexpectedly my eyes closed and darkness took over.
