Chapter 28 - unexpected change

every thing in life had to change, for one reason or the other. even nature changes unexpectedly, without warning.
it could either result into a bad change, or maybe a good change. but the fact was, nothing would remain the same forever.
drip and leo, were still currently in the room. leo looked to have recovered, and was now lying besides drip. on the bed, gazing at the ceiling.
the military academy, had already been done with their classes. before the duo arrived. so they have about six more hours, free to themselves before curfew.
"I can't believe you've endured this for a month now.." drip said with remourse. he didn't know why, but he was just sensitive, to things. and since he'd become a parasite, he's emotion had been on a rollercoaster. taking different turns.
"y-eah.. a month." the necromancer parasite said, in a monotone voice.
"i-i know.. I haven't been o-pen with you when we first met and am sorry..."
leo turned his head, to look at drip sideways. the two were like, inseperable brothers. but each other, had his own past he was running from.
"i-i under-stan-d it's nothing.. we each have our different stories".
"ye-ah stories..."
the gloomy feeling, was beginning to overcrowd the rising sunny atmosphere, between the two.
"so what ability do you wish to have leo?" he didn't know why, he asked leo that question. as he didn't even know, if he and leo could learn an ability, now that they're parasite's.

leo paused for a moment, thinking about it. he had not yet thought of, another ability he would choose. apart from, the military's earth ability.
"I don't know.. maybe the poison ability..." leo said, peeling a layer of his skin off, from his arm. other's would have felt disgusted, by leo pulling his own flesh, but drip didn't mind at all.
"the poison ability... it suits you." drip thought, it would suit he's class as an undead, even more. as it would help, boost his range attack, the more when in a fight. and he could, also concentrate more better.
the poison ability, was truly a good ability. it was suited both attack, and defence style. if trained and mastered well, the user can achieve great things, with the poison ability.
but the major drawback was, it's defense capability. as it had not so great defense, but other than that. it was perfect to master, and the military even had, only lv1 to 2 of the ability book.
while the rest had to be learnt, in one of the big seven bases. since one of the, big seven leaders is the greatest, poison ability user ever.
"but why go for the poison ability.. there are other destructive abilities out there." drip questioned. unaware of the fact why leo chose the poison ability.
"i-ts simple.. my life is a poison to me, ever since I was born. so I want to be feared by people, and grow much stronger, with your help." a creepy grin, was plastered on his face. but the funny thing was, his expression just changed slightly, barely noticeable.
"i-i fear he's class maybe affecting his behaviour negatively" drip thought inwardly, staring at leo. his character, was slowly rhyming with his change. even though it didn't show that much, it was still visible sometimes.
the room fell silent, as the two just kept still. only the beeping, of the alarm clock was heard.
"i don't want to leave him alone, but i also need to talk with billy." he had wanted to talk, with the latter since he got back. but he didn't get the opportunity, and he just couldn't sit down idle in the room.
and he also didn't want to bring leo. mainly because he didn't know how, he'd react to people. and he also wanted, to be on a safe side.
"ehmm i'll be going out in a few minutes is there anything else you want to do?"
"wh-where are you going?" leo said, raising an eyebrow up slightly.
"i-it's nothing.. am just going to get some fresh air and more food..." he lied, hoping leo would buy it. but unfortunately, the latter didn't agree.
"i-in that case i'll follow you.." leo got up, ready to leave with drip. when he stopped him, before he had the chance to leave.
"n-no you just stay here i'll be back in a few minutes..."
"ar-gh i don't know why, but i need to follow you..." leo didn't know why. but there was this force he felt, pulling him to drip. and even when he tried to resist it, his body wouldn't listen.
"hmm.." drip frowned. he figured this was the loyal aspect, the system talked about. but he didn't think, it would be this serious. and that only meant, he had to either take leo out with him, or stay behind.
"i'll just have to keep my eyes on him." he said, shrugging his shoulders. as he and leo went out the door. with leo, following beside drip.
the school's restaurant, was currently occupied, by some few students. who ordered some items, and sat down to chat.
but drip noticed, the pt students were much, than the ability users. as he looked at their power levels, on their various watches.
"w-here is he.." drip used his eyes, to search round for billy. but he couldn't find, or sense billy nearby.
"w-hy is he standing like that..." drip said gazing at leo.
meanwhile, leo stood still like a statue. using his ears, he could hear the abusive tones, and fingers pointed at him from afar.
but he didn't really care, about what people said about him anymore. the old side of leo nex was dead. this was a new leo nex, and a more deadly one.
"hey isn't that leo nex the fucking pt trainer.."
"yeah why the hell does his face look like that.."
"maybe he undergoed plastic surgery."
"ha I fuck-ing doubt he'd have a fucking dime to pay for it." a group of around six boys, laughed enthusiastically, making fun of leo.
"a-m getting hungry..." something was rising in leo, and it was starting to get into his skin. as he had already turned, to approach them, but was stopped by drip.
"hey.. it's not worth it, they're not worth it." even though leo's hearing, was a bit better than drip. he could still hear them clearly too, and he had also kept his urge. not to react, to avoid unwanted attention.
"let's go somewhere else leo..." leo nodded, and followed drip behind. passing another route, besides where the group were.
"yeah you better run coward.." "you're all bunch of cowards and trash's. it's a pity your mothers, gave birth to shits like you." the boy yelled chuckling. and attracting the attention, of some crowds of students, who were purchasing some items.
drip brimmed with anger, as he heard the insult, that was made to both their mother's.
"hey you fucking bastard! I challenge you, and your shitty crew to a duel right now. if you lowlifes, have the balls to accept that is..." this time it was drip that spoke. already tired of the nuisance they caused. as anger overwhelmed him, the moment the boy, mentioned his mother. he could tolerate abuses directed at him, but never his loved ones.
"w-what did you say..." the boy said, his eyes twitched a bit. he didn't expect a mere PT trainer, to challenge him.
"I said.. if your mother, didn't buy a new watch last year, then I dare you to face us..."
"why you..." the teenage boy, wanted to confront drip. but one of his friend's held him.
"don't waste your time on him jasper, don't you see he's new here.." jasper then looked at drip well. seeing he didn't recognize him before. he then checked his power level, seeing it displayed a number, lower than his he smiled.
"of course, you idiot.. it seems you want to make a name right pt.. but i'll let this on slide, since you're crazy." jasper said, puffing his chest up about to leave.
"ha.. idiot i just want to kick your ass."
Jasper's face widened in shock, as drip replied him yet again.
"w-hat the fuck did you say!" jasper roared enraged. he had wanted to leave drip, out of the goodness of his heart. but drip kept on pushing him.
"h-hey Jasper we can't fight them now or we'll be in trouble.." one of the other boy said, trying to curb the situation down. but it seemed things had already excalated. as a huge crowd, formed a circle around them.
"hey what's going on?"
"oh a newbie pt trainer just challenged Jasper and his gang to a fight right now..."
"what really a fight right now...'
"this pt's sure in for a beat down of his life..."
"fight! fight! fight..." slowly cheers and mummurs, erupted from the crowd. the fight was about to occur, as a small space had been created for the duel.
"kick his ass Jasper!"
"yeah bury him..."
"he wouldn't even last up to a minute.."
"fine I accept.."
"but when I win.. i get to break a few bones, from both of you. while when you lose, you'll be my slave until I release you." the boy said, accepting the challenge. and motivation from the crowd.
"oh.. scary.. I accept." drip immediately replied.
jasper and his group, then went to one side of the circle. while drip and leo, stood on the other side.
"and here you were scared for me..." leo smiled dejectedly.

"it's no problem. I've always wanted to kick some ass!" leo chuckled, cracking his knuckles, ready for the fight. and drip felt happy, to fight by leo's side.
"it seems we can't avoid trouble afterall..." he said clenching his fists.
"drip after this I want you teach me how to kill.."
"don't act like you don't know.. I-i want to be like you when-"
"I.. understand leo..." he didn't know why, but leo didn't feel scared, uttering the word 'kill". even if he's beside him, he still felt others might hear. but it seems, the crowd were to busy talking.
"hey enough talking." jasper had already moved, forward a bit. and drip also moved, a bit with leo. as he and jasper, stood on opposite sides.
"ok the rules are simple, falls count anywhere.. and there are no rules." he moved really fast, for drip's eyes. his fist already thrown out, to the latters face. but it was blocked mid air by a hand.
"what the- how did you." leo's right hand, stood in between the fist, and drip head. as he used his legs, to slam into Jasper's guts, pushing him back.
"urgh!" he grunted. as leo's kick packed a punch. even though his body was more refined, since he had an ability. and he wasn't meant to feel that kick, but somehow he did.
"woah! d-did the shy kid just block a hit..."
"not just any hit a powerful one..."
"b-but how.. was jasper holding back?"
"yeah jasper must have held back.." "there's no way leo could possibly take that hit and stand fine."
the crowd was amazed, when they saw leo's palm, blocking the attack from jasper. but they quickly concluded, the latter held back.
"I d-on't care what they say as long as I teach you a lesson!."
"bam!" a small sound recoiled. as drip held a punch, to leo's head. and delivered a punch of his, to the attacker's chest, sending him back.
"thanks drip.." leo was caught up in his thoughts. as he didn't sense the incoming punch quick.
"no worry man I got you.. just take care of him. i'll deal with the rest." drip said. heading out to face the other five opposite them.
"y-you weirdos might have blocked that.. but how about this." he spun his leg around, aiming for a kick to leo's neck. but the latter was quick, moving to the side. and putting his two hands together, slammed downwards at Jasper's leg.
"argh!" there was a slight crack sound, heard in jasper's foot. as a bone looked to have cracked a bit.
"shit I used too much force..."
"h-how are you weirdos this fucking strong." jasper exclaimed. his leg was now injured a bit, even though he could still fight. he and his team were losing, against drip and leo.
"woah t-this is impossible..."
"how can he injure jasper so easily..."
"he's strength is really amazing.."
the crowd opinion of leo, was slowly changing into positive ones. as he continued battling with jasper.
meanwhile, drip just blocked an attack to his side. holding the latters leg in place, and delivered a punch to his stomach.
"I can't believe am fighting this early again." drip rolled his eyes. dodging a punch directly to his head, and lifting the latter up in the air. spinning him, then delivered a knee, to him in the head.
"we-we can't face them individually we have to attack together." one said, wiping blood off his nose.
"t-his may be troublesome..." the group of five, had now surrounded him. as they charged in together.
"argh!" [98/100] he blocked a kick to his ribs, but a fist was directed to his other side. then out of instinct, he placed his hands vertically, to the side of his head. as two punch landed there.

"fuck.." his hands hurt a bit, but the pain quickly went away. as he thought of a suitable plan, while blocking some attacks.
[90/100]. a punch, made it's way to his spine area. as it jolted his body forward, but was redirected again, with a punch to the chest.
the attacker's didn't stop there, but attacked him all over. with the slight opportunity they got.
"it seems the other one isn't experienced like leo.."
"yeah! he's new here am sure he knew leo had brute strength that's why he's sticking to him."
"he should just give up and learn from leo."
"he'll probably be in the hospital for a week or two."
before, drip was fairing well with the gang. attacking them, one by one. but as they attacked together, things took an unexpected change. and he currently, wasn't used to fighting like this.
"i-i'll have to tak-e them out in-dividu-ally t-o stand a cha-nce..." he thought.
"that's it! it's my turn..." drip said, charging forward. in no time, he reached a boy's back, and held his waist. slamming the joint, that connected the neck to the spine, down to the ground. he knew the boy, wouldn't be getting up anytime soon.
