abilities were mysterious things. that suddenly appeared many years back. during the first humans.
first, there was a burst of bright light across the universe. then everybody, began to feel a foreign energy called mana.
as came this good gift. also came mutated beasts and evolved species. threatening the human race. but suddenly, a man managed to create, an element with mana. and awakened an ability.
the mysterious man's name was richard gene. with his help, others began to awaken theirs, and fight back. defending the human race, and restoring peace. as there was no more war, the internal struggle for power, between humans erupted.
then richard gene, with the help of the first seven individuals. began to set up systems, to govern the people, and restore peace back. but after a few years, richard gene disappeared. never to be heard from again.
...
"mhm yum munch..."
drip couldn't help, but let out a smile. thinking of the times, with his parents he never had.
"save some for me leo." he joined in, eating the large foods, that were in the bags. and within about 10 minutes, all the food, had been devoured.
"belch!! oops..."
"l-eo are you in there?..."
drip looked at leo carefully. inspecting his every detail, from his eyes down to his feets. as he seemed, to have returned back to normal. but not his former attitude.
"leo..."
"w-what are y-ou doing..." leo asked. his expression was normal, as he spoke.
"phew... he's back to normal..." drip sighed in his heart. he had expected, another different outcome, for the worse. but it seems like, things were taking a separate turn.
"w-why are you looking at me like that?" leo asked. his head facing downwards, staring at the ground.
drip was surprised, leo knew he was looking at him. weirdly, but how did he know.
"l-eo what do you mean..."
"i- i do-n't know how.. but i-i can f-eel you." leo said, holding both his ears, clutching down. he was like a frightened boy, afraid of himself. small sobs coming out from him.
drip looking at leo, felt guilty in his heart. he had lived this life of hardship, and pain. but he felt leo didn't deserve it.
and it was partly his fault, that leo was like this now. though he meant to save his life. but things wouldn't always work in his favour.
"leo what do you mean you feel can me..." drip said softly. approaching him slowly with light steps.
"d-don't come any closer." leo said shriveling to the bed.
"am just trying to help..."
"stop drip! pl-ease..."
the latter halted in his footsteps. he didn't want to cause leo more pain than he already had.
"a-m so-sorry leo i-i never meant to harm you i-it's just.. i couldn't watch you die."
drip sat down on the bed, near leo giving him time, to calm down. after about five minutes of silence. leo finally spoke.
"what happened drip.. while we were on that planet..." leo asked looking at drip for an answer.
"a-are you sure you want me to tell you?"
"yes am sure."
"o-ok if you say so..." drip explained everything, that occurred in the desert. lying about the system part, and instead. saying he had a parasite ability.
"i thought you didn't have an ability...."
"ehhmm.. it's complicated, i just found out about a week ago..."
"huh! parasite ability? I've never heard of such...." leo slowly said shaking his head.
"yeah... i know it's weird, but i found the book in my parents stuff." drip said scratching his head.
he didn't know why, leo wasn't buying the story. but he had to go with it. leo looked at him weirdly, but nodded afterwards.
"that means you're a parasite?" leo asked staring at drip.
"err i guess so..." drip answered awkwardly.
"so that must also mean am a parasite?" leo said checking his body.
"about that... you're not just a parasite, but a necromancer parasite." drip explained to leo. he didn't even know, what a necromancer parasite is. as the system, didn't put any info there. only a small icon.
"billy would've helped out.. the guy does seems to read a lot of fantasy books."
"i wonder where he went?" it had been some time. since he and billy last talked. as the latter had kept him company since leo left.
"a necromancer parasite?"
"i understand a parasite feeds off the host, but what does a necromancer parasite mean?" leo asked confused.
"wait a minute..." he remembered seeing a small icon, below the word, 'necromancer parasite'. in the system.
as he went back to the system, and clicked, on the small icon. painted white, with a small letter i in black.
a screen popped up.
[necromancer parasite: a necromancer parasite is a special type of undead parasite that was turned by the owner either in death or before dying.]
[necromancer parasites are always loyal to their masters forever and they posses far more advanced sense, healing, strength, and speed than normal parasites]
[weaknessess: a necromancer parasite has a very long life span and can live for millions of years. but they are really vulnerable if attacked in the head killing them instantly. and a necromancer parasite must consume meat more often in a day for regeneration]
"that's new..." looking at the description, of the necromancer parasite. drip didn't know how to feel. though it had many good sides. but it also had important bad sides.
like, leo had to constantly watch his head, while in a fight. or an attack to the head, could instantly kill him. and he had to consume, more of meat to regenerate, or he would die.
this two were the real headaches. as the military, would surely gain up to him, if he constantly bought meat. and he doubted, he would have enough credits, to buy that plenty meat.
"drip.." leo saw drip staring at the air. lost in his own thoughts now, for over a minute.
drip just read out, all the details he saw, on the system screen. as he himself, didn't understand it that much.
"in death? did i die..." leo asked unfazed. he remembered he was critically injured. but could it result to his death?.
when drip said the words turned in death. he thought he had died. and was raised back.
"l-lets just say you were on the brink of death..." drip smiled. it was a weird thing, for him to smile. when he said leo was on the brink of death. but leo was now technically an undead.
"if your parents had this type of ability book. and a special one for that. then they must surely be important people..."
"sigh! they were scientists in the military, b-but they're dead now..." drip was hesitant to say those words, as he couldn't bear them. his heart just ached the more. he thought about his dead parents.
"a-m s-sorry about that..." leo said to drip. there wasn't any emotions in him. not that he didn't feel sad. but he couldn't cry anymore. only a single tear's, rolled down his pale cheek.
"t-thanks leo... so how do you feel now?"
"nothing.. i don't feel anything. except for the blood moving round your veins."
"and your breathing and e-every sound that's close to me..." leo said. void of life staring at drip.
"i can't even feel my own pulse..." he placed his hand on his heart. to feel any slight pulse. but there was none, any where he checked.
drip wanted to test, if truly leo's sense, was that far advanced than his. by moving his leg, which was away, from leo's sight a bit.
leo immediately reacted, by moving his eyes to drip's leg.
"h-he's sense is really high..." drip thought. he wondered, if it was due to leo. being a necromancer parasite of some sort.
he wondered why the system. turned leo into a necromancer parasite. instead of just a parasite like he was.
"maybe it's because he almost died. so the system classified him as an undead..." that was the thought, which came to drip. the system, was a weird thing to begin with. and he never did know the origin.
the system just magically fell, from the sky near his house. at first, he had thought, it was just a normal briefcase. infused with mana. but it turned out, it was something far more than that. that would change his life forever.
"d-did anyone notice anything strange when we came?" leo asked.
"ehhm no not at all..."
"w-why do you ask? is anyone after y-ou." drip whispered.
haha. leo laughed. why would anyone be after me. i mean, we don't even fucking exist. leo smiled bitterly. clenching his fist in anger. causing his nails, to dig deep into his flesh. blood was drawn out, but he didn't feel any pain.
"leo! when i asked blaze, who sent him. he told me he didn't know, but i know he was lying."
"so am asking you leo who did this to you...."
....
drip knew leo was hesitant to speak. and he didn't want to rush things or make him suffer. the trauma he had been through.
"if you don't want to talk about it then it's fine." drip said dissuading
the matter further.
"no it's ok..."
"it all started when i first came into the academy. i was just a really weak, normal teenage boy without any ability. i also didn't get to meet, my mom and dad, since i was little."
"i came here hopefully, to learn an ability, or just get stronger as a pt trainer. after i had joined, and saw the military's ability was earth. i loved it, but i couldn't afford to level it up."
"as you'd have to work for the military. before you could be given more. so i went in search of other abilities. but for some reason i don't know. i was bullied and threatened, by the higher levels. to learn the earth ability."
"that's when i started hidding, and realized. the military doesn't care about us. we're just meat for the dogs to feed on. i thought i could cope, but it went on and on. until they sent blaze, and his gang of rank D's."
"they told me, i had just a week to change my mind. and accept, but i couldn't give in. i guess you could say i was sturborn."
"and that's when you joined the academy, and everything happened." leo said. the expression on his face turned a bit ugly. before returning back, to the pale lifeless face.
"s-so th-e military are t-the same bastard's. who left mom and dad to die, a-and nearly killed leo." ever since he was little, under Lola's care. he never forgot what she told him."
"drip whatever you do, stay away from the military. they killed your parent's, and covered it up as an accident." she said.
the military were the cruel bastards. who allowed his parents to die on that spacecraft. and he vowed to take revenge.
digging his nails into his skin. blood was dropping out. but it was a lot more darker, than the last time he bled.
[blood war: once this skill is activated it will take 50% of user's life granting him a huge power boost in all stats and blood related skills for a duration of 5 minutes. this skill can only be used according to the user's hp.]
"what the-"
drip was so enraged. that the system formed a skill for him. and the skill it formed. was a very powerful and deadly skill. even for him.
"50% of my life force..." drip had a frown on his face. this skill can only be used, as my last line of defense.
even though the skill was good. the cost was just too high. it was either he activated it with full hp. and defeat his opponent fast. or he activates it when his hp is halved. and he maybe turns into a flesh eater.
leo could feel the anger rising in drip. but wouldn't be naive. and let drip risk his life. fighting with the military.
"drip calm down.... as much as i want to. we can't possibly fight the military now. or we'll get killed."
drip was a bit hot tempered and sensitive. but he knew leo was right, he had to get more stronger. if he'd ever dream, of facing one of the seven power houses.
"another day..." drip said.
"leo do you know who exactly was threatening you?" drip wanted to know. if leo knew the name of the exact person. so he could plan the next course of action.
"i-i don't know for sure.. but i think i heard one student, speak the name commander barry."
"commander barry huh... " that was all he needed for now. he vowed to improve himself, and also leo drastically. on the hunt they would embark on, in a few days time.
"i want you to know we're in this together drip."
"thanks leo..." he was surprised. leo had already accepted this new beginning. he guessed this was the loyal aspect. the system talked about.
he now had a powerful ally. and a friend to watch his back. as they would slowly, take the military unaware. under their noses.
