Chapter 25 - Turning leo

on a desert planet, with the sun rays shinning brightly on the sands. on could see a dead worm with holes in it and 5 bodies, one without a head, another a hole in his chest, with his heart missing.
further away, there was a golden haired boy laying on the sand unconscious and wounded, followed with a green haired boy, then finally a blue haired boy who was half naked.
"arghh!. my head.. it hurts so b..."
"wh-at ha-ppened." he remembered fighting with blaze, but while fighting, he got hit badly as he was in flames.
"t-the system said my hp was 0%... i di-ed?." he remembered seeing the system notification saying 0%, but how could he still be alive?.
"wait... the system sai-d, turning into f-lesh ea-ter?." before he had lost consciousness, and allegedly died from the flames he barely saw the system notification, telling him he was turning into a flesh eater.
"co-uld it be..." before, drip always wondered what would happen, if his hp ever dropped to zero percent. he had many possibilities in his mind, as he had just became a parasite about three weeks back,
he didn't even know parasites were real, in actual human form.
"ahh! my head." he held his head firmly, covering his eyes. even though he was alive, and his body seemed to have healed on the outside. he still felt internal bleeding in his system, his whole body in pain.
"th-is might take a while!" drip didn't bother much about the internal bleeding, because he wasn't normal anymore, instead now a parasite. and surprisingly as a parasite he had fast healing, he wondered if all parasites had this.
he looked round, seeing the dead bodies of feng and koby laying on the sand, Feng's head was missing while koby's heart was gone.
maybe if he were still human, he would've puked, or wouldn't dare look at their horrible state. but he was now a parasite, his emotions were gradually dieing off, as he stared emotionlessly at the dead bodies.
"t-hey diserv-ed i-t..." even if he felt nothing looking at their bodies, he was still just a 16yr old boy, who still had different baised view about the world.
"d-di-d i do t-hat?..."
drip was looking at the terrifying huge worm beast, with a huge hole in it's stomach another in the center of the head, extending to the chest. but when he looked at it, there was nothing else there, only a hole and black goo seeping out.
"where's it's heart?." drip didn't know much about beasts, but he'd guessed their hearts should be on the left side, of their chest. he followed that theory, from the hare he killed, when he first became a parasite.
"fuck, le-o!..."
drip ran to where leo layed, his every movement stinging with pain, but he gritted his teeth and fought through the pain. bending down and turning leo facing upwards, he checked his pulse for signs of life.
"haww... he's alive." he heaved a sign of relief.
there were faint pulses drip felt on leo's neck, even though they were very small, but he felt them well. but his condition wasn't in a good state, rather unstable.
drip felt a bit better seeing leo alive, but the same wasn't for blaze, who's still passed out cold.
"what's this?."

drip's head, was bombarded with series of notifications from the system, the system notifications were countless, just flashing before his eyes.

Skills:
[poison claw drain: the user's hand becomes a poisoned claw which deals damage to whosever afflicted (except user) and stores poison in the body which kills the specie and returns part of the user hp depending on the lv. user can also release a line of dark aura from both hands.]

[Sense:the user is able to inspect and sense a specie nearby and the information is displayed in stats. the user can also sense a skill or ability used by a specie depending on the lv. note: (sense can not lv up)]

[Gaze:the user's eyes becomes white and when looked at a specie will paralyze the specie stunning it in place and can command the specie to obey him depending on the lv (note: gaze will lv up depending on the user's lv).

[Acid shot: the user fires shots of venom from both palms of his hands which deals damage to affected area once in contact with skin it slowly eats and melts the flesh off.(Note: a lot slower when in contact with higher LV ups and costs 5 hp from each palms fired)]

[Lethal strike destruction: the user performs series of strikes, infused with venom to a specie which deals damage, to the affected part immobilising the lower LV up's and weakens the higher up's. costs 3 hp per strike]

[Stealth: once activated hides user's presence, essence, and aura from a specie which will enable user to perform, sneak kills on species in exchange for health points. costs 1 hp per second.]

[Death fury: once in this state, adrenaline rushes through user's body, turning him into a fury killing machine that kills anything in it's path (friend or foe) and boosts all stats by 2. Note: user can use this when looking for a fast kill. costs 10 hp per 5 minutes.]

there were other skills drip had unlocked, but he didn't have the chance to check them, as he was called from his gaze.
"drip...."
scrolling the screen away drip saw blaze standing 6ft near him, his broken leg looked to have healed to some degree, as he was supporting it with the other. a nervous look, plastered on his face as he looked at drip.
drip's hand's had turned into dark claws, ready for a fight against blaze, if any were to occur.
"i-i d-dont want to kill him..."
"bl-aze st-"
"thank you drip.. for saving my life. i-i promise, i w-on't spill your s-ecret..."
drip was shocked, never for once did he expect blaze to thank him for saving his life, he had expected a death match like before, but things seemed to have changed.
blaze bowed his head slightly, as his gaze went to the dead Koby and feng bodies, they weren't recognisable at all right now, as parts of their bodies seemed to be missing.
blaze clenched his fists so hard, that blood was drawn out, but he didn't feel any pain, only letting out some tears looking at his dead friends.
"k-koby! fe-ng... i-t's my fa-ult, you d-didn't de-serve to d-ie." drip felt the emotion blaze poured out seeing his dead friends, as he couldn't help but feel sorry, he wondered what if, that were to be leo laying there.
he would feel guilty for the rest of his life, if it were leo or even him. even though they tried to kill leo and him first, he still had some remorse for their corpse.
"leo..." drip muttered softly.
Leo's heartbeat was slowly fading away, his lifeforce gradually going away, from his body.
"h-he's dieing..."

"n-o what sh-ould i do... bl-aze! help, leo..." drip was confused not knowing what to do, he couldn't care less about not trusting blaze right now, but all that mattered was saving leo.
blaze limped over to drip's side, but still had his guard up, inspecting leo. after the fight, something seemed to have changed in blaze.
"he's weak from hunger. his body can't handle the sun any longer... i'll set up the portal, i ju-st hope we're on ti-me." blaze then went to Feng's body, bringing out a strange round device it was about the size of a chair, brown in colour it looked to be the portal device, as he started setting it up.
"h-his bre-ath is still decreasing..."
"what d-o i-i do..." he touched his forehead, to feel his condition when suddenly, a screen popped up.
[would host like to turn specie into a parasite ]
"wh-at does it me-an?." when he touched leo at first, he was surprised this screen didn't pop up, why was it now when he touched his forehead.

"shit." drip had always asked himself the question, what would happen, if there was ever a time he would ever need to turn, the ones he loved into a parasite.
he pondered everyday on that question, but he just decided to ask them as it was their decision not his, and any choice they made he would support them through it.

"i-i have no other choice. leo can't die! not now..."

Leo's body that was unmoving was now shaking and squirming visibly, he was getting hotter and sweating uncontrollably, loud groans escaping from his mouth.
"i-it's just like when i evolved." his hand was still on leo's head, as he felt the bones in his body cracking and reassembling, blood seeping out from his body. it was a horrible experience, any one could ever go through, but drip could only watch in pain, for the benefit of leo.
blaze had already finished setting up the portal, but stood still watching what drip did to leo, he was having many thoughts in his mind.
"this... "
"what's he doing to him..."
it took about two minutes for the turning process to stop, as leo's body was calming down, and drip could sense leo's heartbeat beating more lively than before, his condition improved. as a screen popped up.

"necromancer parasite?." drip had thought, maybe leo would've first turned into an omnivore parasite like he did, but looks like there were different classes.
"tha-nk God it wor-ked....."
looking at leo, he saw some noticeable improvements, like leo's body, was a bit muscular than before. and he got more pale and handsome, his green hair was now lighter than before.
"drip the portal's ready..."
"o-ok. but... what about koby and feng." since they were friends of blaze park, they must be important figures, so he guessed their sudden disappearance wouldn't just go silent, as the military will surely ask some questions.
"d-don't worry about them, i'll handle it..." drip didn't know if he could trust blaze, as he seemed to be unpredictable. but now that he was a blood parasite, he felt overpowered, and confident for a challenge.
drip then went ahead to carry leo, as he was incredibly light, he thought this was due to, how high his strength was. leo was like a feather on his shoulder.
he saw blaze had already stepped through the portal ,as he was nowhere to be found.
"hmm... haaa...." taking a deep breath, he stepped through the portal, and was transported to the same place which they were, in the military academy. which is the portal room.
