Chapter 24 - Venus desert worm

portals were a mysterious thing, as one couldn't quite grasp it's true potential, when travelling through it there were many possibilities.
like there could be a glitch in the portal machine, or it could affect ones state when passing through it to another planet, either way it was risky. but that didn't stop humans from going through them, ranging from their different colours green being the safest to red, but there was still another colour which was black, appearing just once to humanity disappearing from then till date.

blaze could only watch in horror as drip's body grew up some feets, he was shedding his skin replaced by a black skin, as some parts of flesh were missing from the creature showing it's bones. the creature had pale white eyes, sturdy and agile built body, no ear on its head as they were sealed.
there was no hair on it's head as it was bald, only claws for hands and feets, the flames died off from it's body instantly.
"m-on-ste-r." blaze could barely speak, looking at the terrifying creature he lost his once confident self, only fear over crowded his mind.
the creature was slowly coming towards blaze, showing it's rows of sharp elongated teeths.
"i-i can't die." he made fire whips in both his hands, as they burned ferociously without thinking twice, he used them to whip the creature's chest.
the creature didn't even bother to block the attack, of the incoming fire whip heading for it's chest, as it continued walking.
"bam!." it was a strong attack, even blaze felt the impact but the creature just skidded back a few steps, the wound it sustained healing on the spot.
"h-how?." blaze had put in some amount of mana and strength as he swung the whips, as that was his line of defense since his left leg was broken at the moment, the whip was meant for both far and short distance.
"let's see how you do with multiple whips aimed at you." blaze was swinging his arms rapidly, as the fire whip's moved with life aimed at the creature.
the creature didn't stay still like the last time, instead it started running in zigzag motion, avoiding the slashes of whips. each time a whip hit the sand, there was always this small bang, that would go off.
"i can't let it get close to me, or am dead." blaze said as he used the right whip to wrap around the creature's leg, he tried to pull the creature off balance but the creature was way stronger than him, as it was getting closer to blaze.
"fuck you!." blaze said as he used his full strength, to whip the other leg of the creature while it was running, it lost balance as the attack packed a punch. it's bone was sticking out from the exposed flesh in it's leg.
"we're almost equal you bastard." he thought the creature's leg was disformed like his, but the next instance, the bone retracted back into the flesh of the creature.
"it can't be." blaze had wide eyes, as the bone retracted into the creature's body.
"Roarrrr!" the creature released a loud roar, as it jumped high in the air with incredibly speed like a jet away from blaze sight, and the sun helped in blocking the creature from blaze sight.
"shit! where the hell did that thing go..." blazed looked everywhere, but didn't find the creature that's when he saw leo unconscious body, he started laughing manically having found his prey.
"ha! you fool you forgot your fucking bone." limping towards leo, he boosted himself up with his flames, as he shot up in the air closing the distance between him and leo in an instant.
"this is my most deadliest skill which costs me half of my mana for a worthless piece of shit but it's worth it." he said, stretching his hands out he shouted out loud.
"blazi-"
underneath his foot, he noticed the sand was sinking quite fast which was weird, but he didn't think much about it, thinking it was from his descension from the sky.
"bam!" the creature shot out from the sand, with blaze in it's hand's and opened it's mouth wide, ready to chomp down on blaze. that's when the creature stopped, and looked at the ground not far from where they are, sensing something underground coming fast to where they are. it looked in the direction the movement was coming from, when a huge crater started to form in the sand, until it got really big fast with another creature portruding out.
"n-no it's a v-e-nus d-esert w-orm."
"we're d-ead...." blaze muttered, while still in the creature's grasp staring at the worm. the worm was brown in colour, as it was as tall as a two story building.
looking at blaze with it's dead white eyes, the flesh eater pointed at the huge worm, saying the words: "H-E--LP O-R DI--E!."
blaze couldn't believe this creature could talk, but not fluently as it's words were not passive.
the creature let go of blaze, who dropped to the sand gasping for air, while the flesh eater went to face the worm with it's sharp razor rows of teeth. it had no eyes only two big holes where the ears were meant, it was terrifying in all means as only half of its body was out from the crater of sand, while the other half was still in the sand.
"Roarrrr!!." the Venus worm let out a huge shock wave of roar, that will burst the ear drums of many lower LV existence if they weren't strong, but the flesh eater didn't even bulge, while it ran towards the worm letting out a roar of its own.
"Roooarrr!!!." the flesh eater had reached the worm, using it's fast agility, it clawed the visible sides of the worm. the skin of the worm was hard, even for the flesh eater's claws but applying more force, it dug in spilling out blood in the process.

the worm was enraged, letting out a shriek of pain following with an attack of it's own, the worm was by no means slow using it's head which was faced downwards, dug down with it's razor teeth opened to swallow the flesh eater.
meanwhile blaze was still on the floor holding his ear, as it bleed from the loud roar the worm let out earlier, contemplating what to do.
"i-i can't die like this, n-no not like this."
"a-t least if he dies, i'll have time to set up the portal." he barely got up, and fired deep red flames at the flesh eater who was clawing the worms side, the flames were fast approaching the flesh eater but as the flames were close, the creature moved his body to the side. as blaze attack hit the worm's head, which was protruding down. enraged the worm dug down into the sand, as it's forehead flesh was burnt slightly.
"what the... noo!"
"you fucking Bastard!!!." blaze yelled, as he didn't expect the flesh eater to sense his attack, when battling the worm.
the flesh eater turned to reveal a creepy smile, that showed it's sharp teeth, as it pointed to the sand under blaze. the next moment blaze was flung upwards into the air, because of the force which the worm burst out with.
he was falling down directly under the worm, which opened it's rows of teeth facing upwards, to eat blaze.
"so this is how i die." blaze closed his eyes, as he couldn't do anything even if he shot flames at the teeth, he wasn't confident it would hurt it. but in mid flight, an object flew past the worm as it caught blaze in the air, and descended safely down with blaze.
"y-you s-aved m-e?" blaze was surprised, as he saw the flesh eater holding him, never in his life did he believe the monster would help him. the flesh eater dropped blaze to the sand, pointing towards the worm.
"b-la-zing ch-ance..."
blaze then remembered his most powerful skill, and began channelling the mana around into his body, meanwhile the flesh eater ran to the worm again, as the worm didn't also stay still and came towards the flesh eater, for a clash of titans.
as they were close, the flesh eater lept up into the air and landed on the back of the worm, as it was clawing and biting it's way to the inside of the worm. in attempt to get rid of the flesh eater on it's back, the worm raised it's head to dig in to the sand, that's when it felt like the sun was close to it.
near the worm blaze wasn't visible anymore, as there was now a huge burning ball of flame. the ball of flame was heading fast, to the stomach of the worm, which full body was now revealed. it tried to dig down with it's rows of teeth to the sand, but the flesh eater inserted his claws deep in the worm's brain, as the brain was just on it's forehead before the rows of teeth.
"shrkkk!." the worm shrieked in pain by it's brain being hurt, but the ball of flames also reached it's location, burning it's skin with contact because it was too hard. but the skin didn't stand a chance for the ball of flame, as where once was the stomach was now a huge hole with blaze on the other side, panting and crouching down.
"Roarrrr." the worm was bisected as it was immobilised now but it still wasn't dead. the worm's two hole's were pulsing, as it moved it's head real fast to bite down on blaze, but the flesh eater still on it's back propelled himself with his claw foots at blaze. pushing him away from harm, and at the last second tried to shift it's body but, could only shift it's upper body.
the worm disconnected it's lower body, and dug into the sand. black blood was gushing out, from the flesh eater's body as it wasn't moving.
blaze vomitted on the spot at the gruesome site, but the worm wasn't done yet, the sand was sinking under blaze foot.
"a-m not afraid of yo-u!." blaze jumped up, boosting himself with his flames as he was in the air, the worm showed itself with it's sharp teeths faced upwards. as blaze was descending downwards.
"it's time for you to fucking DIE WORM!." "BLAZING SUN..." huge amount of flames surrounded him while descending, the worm also lept up in the air unfazed with it's mouth wide open, as the huge ball of flames entered into the mouth as it shut it.
inside a person could see fire and smoke, coming out from the holes in the worm as it's skin was falling apart, it's brain burnt, but it's heart was still beating being exposed.
blaze was seen falling down outside, from the other side of the hole in the worm's stomach, laying down unconscious on the sand exhausted and weak. but there was another creature, that crawled to the worms heart and bit it

the creature's lower half was slowly growing back, as the creature crawled towards blaze staring with it's white eyes, it passed him and went to a pink haired dead boy, and chomped on his head eating it.

the creature's lower half grew back full, and started shrinking until it reverted to a naked blue haired boy, who was unconscious as night fell on the planet.
