When in the military school there were a lot of things one could do to pass time, some enjoyed sparring while others enjoyed reading, chatting, and other pleasurable things. as even bullying was part.
many might think the military school was a safe tavern to be in, but the truth was just as corruption seeped into the world, so did it enter the school as majority of staffs in the school, could care less about the safety and well-being of a child.
unless the student was from a wealthy family or had great importance, then would they show the most up-most care but the case of the not so important ones were different, as even bribery was common between some students and teachers all it took was money and connection.
knock, knock, knock.... there was a soft knock on a door, as a figure stood in a hallway but there wasn't any signs of it opening, as the figure knocked again each knock getting louder.
Knock Knock Knock!..
"ahh! who could it be in the middle of the night?...." a boy said as he was interrupted in his sleep.
"i thought there's curfew, or could it be one of the soldiers?." the teenage boy decided to ask, as there weren't any rays from the moon, making everywhere a little dark.
knock knock!!! the knocks came again a little bit louder, as the figure didn't want to attract, much attention from the knocks.
"yes! who is it?..."
"leo nex it's sergeant f, open the door now..." the voice commanded from the other side.
as leo heard that voice he didn't need to think twice, as he had already recognised the voice, without the other saying it's name.
he was visible shaking as he got down from the bed, many thoughts running through his mind, as beads of sweat dropped from his forehead.
"i-i why wo-uld he c-ome now..." leo said looking at the door, then looked towards drip who seemed to be asleep, it was around 3:00am in the morning.
"i don't know w-where they're taking me, and how long i'll be there...."
"but i hope i see you again drip." a single tear slid down his face, with him walking towards the door with heavy feats, opening it as carefully as possible revealed a hooded figure.
"are you ready." the hooded figure asked in a stern voice.
"i am, but can you at least tell me, where we're heading sergeant frigg." leo pleaded.
"first of all never call me by my name, i hate it."
"and second i don't know where am taking you, all i do is take orders."
"let's go!." the figure known as sergeant f turned and was already walking away leaving leo at the door.
"HM,haa... i wish i had a choice." leo locked the door, and hurriedly followed sergeant f to a secluded room, meant only to be accessed by the higher ranks namely the sergeants, lieutenants, commanders, e.t.c.
but while following sergeant f, he realised there wasn't any curfew like there was meant to be, he theorised some few strings had been pulled. he couldn't help but sigh in his heart, as the thought of how he had high hopes for the school only to find out, everything here was all a lie.
"only the strong will survive..."
"w-what are we doing in the portal room...?"
...
"i thought we were talking a car or something?."
"the place we are going to don't need cars."
"but..."
"shut up! and don't ask anymore questions, or i'll brake your legs." there wasn't any emotion as sergeant f made that threat, which worked as the former seemed to have stopped talking.
sergeant f then placed his hand on his ear, as he seemed to be talking to someone on the other side for about a minute, as he placed his hand down the dull portal they were in front of, started to light up green swirling round.
"phew... at least it wasn't an orange portal like last time." leo was a little bit releaved, that the planet which they were heading to is inhabited by humans, as it shone a bright green light indicating it is suitable for life.
"don't get your hopes high kid." suddenly another portal was activated, as it illuminated a dull orange colour.
"w-wh, no please not again." Leo's heart sunk seeing the orange portal, but he tried to make a run for it but sergeant f had already knew this would happen, he was faster than leo as he caught his hand gripping it firm in place.
"no! i-i w-ont g-o, let m-e go..." leo fell down to the floor, with tears rolling down his cheeks as he struggled to get out of sergeant f's grip, but no matter what he tried it was just to strong to break, to the extent his wrists were hurting but he couldn't care less about his wrists right now, as he just wanted to avoid the orange portal.
"life's not fair kid, i thought you've learned that." he then dragged leo across the floor towards the orange portal, if one were to see leo right now they wouldn't believe he was the same happy leo as before, he was in a complete mess right now being dragged across the floor.
leo was so close to the orange portal that it only took a few steps to close the distance, he did the only thing that came into his mind that moment, biting down hard in the sergeants hand blood was drawn from it.
"argh! you flighty dog..."
"bam!" he slapped leo hard across the face forcefully making him remove his teeth, passing out cold on the floor with a broken neck.
"y-you fool... i told you not to struggle, it'll only get worse..." as he picked Leo's body up, and looked at his face also looking at the portal, there was a mixed emotion on his face like anger and sadness.
"i hope you survive this one cousin...."
he threw leo across the portal careful not to apply to much force, as the portal closed he then walked towards the green portal and stopped, noticing strands of Leo's green hair on the floor.
"life is just not fair." he sighed picking up the strands of hair, and looked round the room for any more signs that might be an implication, before stepping through the green portal little did he know a drop of blood fell from his injured hand before he stepped through the portal.
*******
"leo you're back." drip couldn't hide his excitement as he rushed to hug leo whom was sitting on the bed.
i missed you too drip. leo hugged drip back, but the latter could've sworn that the tone which leo answered him with, wasn't his usual upbeat tone.
"where the hell have you been man, pt jack said the military had some little issues with you, or something..." drip asked sitting down ready for an explanation.
"it's not-"
leo stopped talking as he turned to look at billy with a cold gaze.
"who's he?"
"oh he's just my friend, he's been keeping me company since you left." drip said casually.
"l-eft it was only for about a week i was gone, and you already replaced me!" visible anger was written all over his face, as he looked at drip.
"woah! that wasn't what i meant leo, he just kept me company that's all..." drip tried to reason with leo, but it seemed like he wouldn't understand.
"if you've found a new friend don't try to hide it from me, you probably don't need me anymore, i'll just be in the way like always." streams of tears fell from his face as he sobbed.
"hey" drip touched his shoulder. "you'll never be in my way your my first true friend, and i'll never abandon you, and besides we're like brothers you know...."
leo seemed to have calmed down a bit, as a weak smile escaped from his mouth.
"thanks drip, i just wanted to know we still have each others back, and, am not bothered if am not your only friend, i just want you to be safe."
"you don't need to worry about me, am plenty strong than you know." drip chuckled.
"ok then, i'll be heading to the library, they're a few things i need to check up on."
he then got up and proceeded to the door, as he stopped beside billy saying some words, to which the latter nodded and leo left .
"what's wrong with him?" drip couldn't help but think in his mind, as he stared at Leo's back until he disappeared.
"well that was awkward." Billy said breaking the ice. i didn't know you two shared that much of a "relationship". he made sure to stress the word relationship.
"what Do you mean?" drip was confused, of course him and leo had a friendly relationship, that was all and nothing else.
"well seemingly the fact you went for nim first, and now this i would say you really sure are, a first class pervert." billy came and gave him a nudge on his arm.
"are you serious right now." drips face was twitching with anger.
"hey am just joking dude, it's been long i had a good laugh..."
"anyways leo have always been an emotional guy, but if there's one thing i know him for is being happy, and ever since he got back he's been the opposite of happy..."
"hmmm you have a point, i'll keep an eye on him."
"you really don't need to i kn-"
"i didn't remember asking you, for your permission...."
"and anyways it's better if i tail him, he might be suspicious, if he finds out your observing him..."
drip couldn't argue as billy had a point.
"if what you really say about leo changing is true, then the military must have done something to him."
drip's blood began to boil, as he thought of the cruel things they might have done, to leo crossed his mind.
"i swear, i'll kill everyone if them..."
"calm down tiger, even if you wanted to you just couldn't i mean there are monster you don't know of in the military, and your still weak even though you have some special traits being a parasite, you wouldn't last a sec before your killed."
"are you trying to make me, feel afraid?"
"yes you should be terrified for now but once you grow stronger, then we can wipe them out, bit by bit."
"but why would you want to help me, you don't have a grudge on the military school, or do you."
billy sighed as he grabbed a wooden chair and sat on it, creaking sounds were heard as the chair threatened to fall, anytime soon.
"let's just say your goal and mine are both in line, so we should help each other to achieve it, since it will be to our benefit."
"i agree!"
"it's getting late, i should probably head back to my room.." billy stood up and was ready to leave, but was stopped by drip.
"just curious, what kind of monsters are in the military..."
"trust me, you don't wanna know." billy had a serious expression on his face.
"their power level is far superior than yours, even the A rank's wouldn't want to fight with the lowest of the liutenants, not to mention the commanders."
drip's expression took a 360 degree turn, as what he had hoped to hear, was a different outcome entirely.
"I've told you don't rush things, just focus on becoming more stronger..."
"we'll discuss later. "
"ok billy, thanks a lot..."
"no problem, just be careful of that leo boy."
"why do you say so..."
"because he told me to stay away from you, or he's going to kill me..."
"h-he really said that." drip was shocked beyond reason, as he never thought the leo he knew would ever dared to make that threat to someone, he's a timid boy after all.
"maybe there are some things, i don't know about him."
"yeah although it doesn't bother me much, i'll still advice you to be careful, he may not be the same old leo you knew before..."
