Chapter 31 - A Look At The Aftermath

Following a momentary pause filled with contemplation, Senior Li Mingze resumed speaking, his voice carrying a measured tone.

"As you might have gained some explanation from Mei Ling, I believe you all should also know that the Yellow Emperor of the Dragon Race rules this world or this continent to be exact,"

"Indeed," Yang Shen responded affirmatively.

"Good. Well, the Yellow Emperor's status is the Highest in this world, if he's gone, the world would be in utter chaos, and according to the rumours that are going around, he doesn't seem to be doing so well."

"Coincidentally, a lot of problems are arising right now as well, several races are becoming wild and waging battles against eachother and several rebellious groups are appearing as well."

"Don't you think this seems to be going a bit too orderly and well planned manner?" Li Mingze asked as a smile formed on his face.

"True. Someone seems to want to throw the world in chaos, but what would they gain by doing so? Well, the most likely answer would be the throne I suppose," Chang Jianhong said.

"Haha, Indeed. That is most likely to be the scenario," Li Mingze said with a light laugh.

"Well, for now entering the Dragon Race is your main course of action. As you become familiar with your surroundings and establish connections, you will be prepared to confront any challenges that may arise," he imparted, a warm smile gracing his features.

Mu Kongdong interjected, maintaining his demeanor, "Senior, while the plan sounds promising, there still remains some questions that intrigue me quite a bit."

Senior Li Mingze chuckled lightly, his smile unwavering as he replied, "Indeed, you are correct."

"I have yet to delve into the intricacies," he admitted, his expression retaining its amiable glow. "To draw a parallel, the situation is akin to the quandary faced by the Celestial Seekers in the Cosmos, I believe."

Mu Kongdong, still wearing his calm smile, sought clarity, his questions flowing forth, "That is not entirely clear. I yearn to comprehend the dynamics of the world order—those in power, their dominion, and the responsibilities they bear. This fundamental knowledge eludes us, unfamiliar as we are with this world."

"Well, then I suggest allowing Asmodeus to serve as your informant. Having traversed this Globe World extensively, he possesses invaluable wisdom to guide you," Senior Li Mingze advised.

"I see," Mu Kongdong thought, "Understood." He then acknowledged with a nod, his acceptance signaling his trust in Asmodeus's expertise as a guide within this enigmatic realm.

"Excellent. Now, regarding the vast number of personnel hailing from all the starships currently gathered in the town," Senior Li Mingze proceeded, "Although their numbers are substantial, the town can provide ample accommodation. Consequently, it would not be prudent to have them accompany you. Instead, they shall remain stationed here temporarily."

Mu Kongdong expressed his agreement, stating, "That is a reasonable proposition."

Luo Yin echoed the sentiment, adding, "I agree."

"Very well. The designated departure time shall be one week from today. Until then, I implore you to rest and rejuvenate," Senior Li Mingze replied, his countenance beaming with warmth.

The discussion with Senior Li Mingze persisted for a while longer, delving into additional details and clarifications, until eventually, it drew to a close, marking the culmination of their fruitful exchange."

With the conclusion of the meeting, all of them departed from the Grand Tower, proceeding toward their designated hotel. Along the way, they bore witness once more to the devastation they had inadvertently wrought upon the town.

Everything was almost restored to its original state in the town and the only one which remained was the massive crater.

"Perhaps our intervention was ill-advised," murmured Yang Shen as he surveyed the wreckage that surrounded them.

Zhao Fengge, standing beside him, responded pragmatically, "What's done is done. There is no use lamenting over the past."

Sighing in resignation, Yang Shen concurred, "Indeed, you speak the truth."

Those who had resided near the town square had borne the brunt of the destruction in it's true form, relocating to other parts of the town in search of temporary respite.

Massive boulders which rained down all across the town were being cleared, painstakingly removed to pave the way for further reconstruction.

The landscape resembled an aftermath of a meteor collision that had befallen in this particular region of the town.

"The extent of this damage serves as a testament to the immense power wielded by cultivators. Such force can effortlessly decimate hordes of ordinary soldiers with a mere flick of the finger," remarked Asmodeus, his gaze sweeping across the ravaged area.
