Chapter 4 - Accidental win...

All three of them looked at one another in silence. Ohta could see that the two of them were surprised to see that he had not been put out like all the others on the ground.

A few seconds of silence introduced themselves as the three individuals watched each other attentively.

*Cough* Ohta coughed awkwardly

"You may carry on, please. Just act like I'm not here." Ohta waved.

As if on command, all three of them immediately moved. The Samurai boy had his foot kick against the ground, heading for Ohta.

Ohta also moved, quickly resuming his position under the desk.

The gun-wielding girl jumped. Her guns spit out bullets that chased after the samurai boy. However, he was too fast for her bullets to meet. The bullets only made it after his foot had left their previous positions.

With her rate of fire, she quickly ran out of bullets. But that was not going to stop her. She opened a pouch on her side and threw out two new bullet magazines in the air. As she did, she released the empty magazine slots to the ground.

She jumped and somersaulted in the air, skillfully fixing the new ones while airborne.

Her feet landed on the ground at the same moment the empty magazine kissed the floor.

Meanwhile, the Samurai boy had managed to reach Ohta within the short period of time that the gun-wielding girl was changing her bullet-magazine. He stabbed aggressively into the desk.

*SCHWING*

Ohta opened his legs in reflex. The blade had made it in between his thighs, only an inch away from his crouch. From the surface of the blade, he could clearly see his short white hair and fair-skinned-handsome face. However, his face was filled with the forbearing surprise that he had nearly been made an Enoch.

*Ratatata!!!* Came the bullets once more. The Samurai boy was forced to take a jump back in retreat. He frowned. More bullets kept rushing for him and it was either he moved to dodge or deflected them with his sword.

Ohta immediately used this opportunity to switch positions and crawl under another desk. As he did, the gun-wielding girl and he made eye contact, however, she intentionally ignored him and rushed at the Samurai boy.

The samurai boy was smart. He never stayed in one position for even a second. He was so fast that he ran horizontally on the wall. His attention had become forcefully pulled from Ohta and unto the Gun wielding girl.

Ohta saw the match between these two and could not help but admire their skills. However, he quickly observed an error in the calculation of one of them.

Just as Ohta thought, it happened. The Gun-wielding girl ran out of bullets. This was something the Samurai boy seemed to have also figured out.

The moment he noticed she was out, he sprinted at her, closing the distance between the both of them.

She reached for her pouch, however, she had run out of Magazines. "Shit!!!" She cursed. Far off on the wall, she could see another pair. She immediately ran for it. But her speed was nothing compared to that of the Samurai boy. She was a long ranged fighter and was used to fighting from afar. However, the Samurai boy was used to pushing his body during fights to reach his target.

Just before her fingers could make it to the Magazine on the wall, she suddenly froze. The Samurai boy had made it to her in time.

His sword SLASHED smoothly at her waist.

Her body made a heavy DUD sound as it fell to the ground.

Now, all that was left, was Ohta and the Samurai boy.

The boy had a slight smile on the side of his lips. There was no doubt about it, he was sure of his win. He could practically already feel the weight of those 50 yellow points right in his grasp.

Ohta knew that hiding was not going to help anymore. However, he really did not want to fight He slowly came out from his hiding place under the desk.

"Hey! erm... how about you and I just make an agreement. I forfeit and you..."

*SLASH*

The samurai boy did not wait for him to talk. He immediately attacked with his sword in a quick slash.

For the samurai boy. It was fast, but for Ohta, it was slow. At least, in Ohta's perspective, the boy's movements were slow. Ohta really did not want to fight and he knew that if the blade of his opponent were to touch him, his bloodline ability might instinctively activate.

There was no choice, but to dodge.

*MIRAGE STEPS*

The samurai boy could have sworn that his blade had gone right through Ohta's body. However, it was only a mirage-an after image of the target.

This was a technique Ohta was very fond of using.

It was a side step, but one done so meticulously well that it gave the impression that one was looking at multiple images.

However, because Ohta did not want to step on his classmates that were littered on the floor, he did not fully execute the technique with enough space from his opponent.

The samurai boy looked to his side and was surprised to see Ohta staring right at his face. That gaze sent shivers down his spine, and in his attempt to leap back in fear, he mistakenly tripped on Ohta's foot. Losing his balance, he fell.

His head hit the edge of Ohta's desk, knocking him out.

"HUH!!!"

The development of this event took those watching by surprise. They could not believe what they had just witnessed.

However, they were not the only ones.

"Shit! Don't tell me I killed him." Ohta Panicked. He placed his head on the boy's chest to check if he was still alive.

A breath of relief suddenly washed over him when he discovered that the samurai boy was still breathing.

The door to the class suddenly opened. Miss Carol and some other people he had never seen before walked into the room.

Their gazes all lay on him.

Damn it! that's all for me. I'm definitely going to be expelled. Only day one and I'm already expelled.

He closed his eyes in expectance of the rebuke that was going to come. However, after a few minutes of waiting, it did not come.

At first, it was just one person and then another and then another. Soon, all the men and women that entered the class were in applause.

"What a beautiful match." One of them commented.

"Yes, it was. Miss Carol is really favored to have such a student." Another one added.

"I have heard of the Chinese idiom: A mantis stalking the Cicada, but unaware of the Oriole behind. But this is the first time I'm actually seeing it."

"Yes! It's true. That's the best description of what just happened. What a beautiful strategy. At first, the new student pretended to be weak, and hide. Meanwhile, it was all part of his strategy to wait it out. When all the others had used up their strengths, it was now time to strike."

"True! True! You have said it all. These are the kinds of students we need in this school. This was an exemplary strategy, and he did not even have to use any weapon provided. To top it all, he used his environment to his advantage in that last attack. Only spending minimal effort."

While the teachers and instructors talked, Ohta could not help but have question marks on his head. "Who said anything about me waiting and not using my strength to take out my opponent? I really did not want to fight." he thought to himself.

Miss Carol walked up to him. She was a dark-skinned woman with brunette hair. And even through her clothes, Ohta could guess that she had strong firm muscles.

"Mr. Ohta Waterfell. We were in a hurry to begin the test before, but let me just say it. welcome to AVALON, The WARZONE HIGHSCHOOL."

"Huh???"

Those words came as a surprise to Ohta. However, that was not all.

>>Ohta Waterfell. You have been credited with 50 yellow points<<
