Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Second test

"Good luck Cyrus, don't even think of killing Mr. Ashton"

Ezekiel yells to the male that's fighting Levia

"I'll try and hold back then.."

With a sigh Cyrus raises his sword, getting into a fighting stance

"You don't even have a weapon yet, and you still think you can fight me?"

"Don't overestimate yourself newbie"

Cyrus isn't attempting to hide his annoyance at fighting Levia anymore, since to him he seems just like an arrogant kid.

Levia speaks, his voice devoid of any human emotion, now a cold and murderous tone resonates in the room

"Hmmm, weapon?"

"I don't need one"

The male obviously perturbed and confused at his answer

"So you just intend to fight barehanded? You do realize I have a literal weapon, albeit training?"

Levia just stares blankly at Cyrus In retort, not bothering to answer

"Have it your way then prick, don't say I didn't try to warn you"

Cyrus spits on the ground before slowly walking towards Levia.

Looking like a giant compared to the six foot green eyed boy, Cyrus stands at around six foot nine, with his body riddled with toned muscles, and long orange hair matching his seemingly red eyes.

Despite the image that the name Cyrus gives off, this man was the exact opposite.

Now standing directly in-front of Levia, Cyrus glares down at him

"I warned you to use a weapon"

Bringing the sword down at Levia, despite the odds, he sidesteps just in time for the blade to go directly past him.

Missing him by a wide margin, Cyrus swings yet again, dodging the attack for a second time, Levia mockingly laughs at the failed attempts.

Growing frustrated from not hitting his mark, he swings again, and again, and again, sending a flurry of strikes straight at Levia

All missing gloriously from the sidestepping monster infront of him.

Finally feeling some entertainment, and not just slight entertainment like that which he got from teasing the male at his door earlier, genuine entertainment.

A dangerous feeling overwhelming his body

"I could get addicted to this"

Grinning widely Levia feels more and more of a rush from the incoming swings.

Not letting up, Cyrus keeps sending attack after attack, all to miss just like the last. As if Levia's untouchable, as if he were a battle hardened genius to be able to evade every blow perfectly.

However Levia is not that, in fact it's merely from spending all his life growing up in the dog eat dog environment called the slums

Learning to predict and evade an attackers hits with precision, a sword's like an arm with longer reach is all.

The evolution Levia went through didn't merely affect a small part of his body, it affected every organ, every cell, making them stronger and better.

This didn't leave his eyes out of it, his eyes were made much-much better, allowing him to easier see his opponents line of striking and letting him evade as such.

Deciding to send a strike of his own, Levia steps under the next attack and sends a blow straight to the giants ribs.

Connecting almost instantly, levia feels the pressure of the man's muscular structure, his fist feeling as though it connected with concrete.

Cyrus only grins at him, as though the attack had no affect whatsoever

Dashing backwards Levia looks rather puzzled that his blow seemingly did absolutely nothing. Trying to think of what to do to incapacitate the giant man in-front of him, Levia's mind working in overdrive whilst evading a new flurry of attacks.

"Stop"

A voice responds from the other side of the arena

Looking over Levia notices a man with Snow White hair and red eyes approaching him.

"A pleasure to meet you Levia, I'm the director of the combat department of this academy, my name is Winterfall"

Levia smiles politely, as to not anger the man before him-

"Best not to anger this man as I am now"

Levia seems to have realized the gap between him and the snowy haired male that just came up

"We've seen enough, and have decided that you've been accepted into the bloodline academy"

"Ezekiel will now show you the way to your dormitory"

Seeing that now isn't the time to ask questions Levia just keeps to himself

"If you'll follow me sir Levia"

Levia follows the young man, heading out a door opposite the one they entered the arena in.

Walking through a large open corridor with doors on both sides, Levia continues on through. Walking until they hit a door on the right side.

The door that they've just approached appeared dark, almost abysmally so, with intricate carvings of red here and there.

Wondering why the academy had such a weird door Levia decides that he would just ask Ezekiel. But as if reading his thoughts, he's answered before even saying anything.

"This door has been around since the academy was first built, although for some reason no one can remember when that was."

"Spooky isn't it?"

Ezekiel slightly shivers as his eyes graze over the door

Looking closely at the intricate engravings one would think that they were moving, as If they were alive.

Levia feels a certain affinity for the room in front of him, being glad this is the dorm given to him.

***

Cutting back to Cyrus who's now chatting with Winterfall.

"That new recruit I fought.. there's something explicitly wrong with him"

"How can a newly formed bloodline be able to stand his own against me without getting even slightly tired? It just doesn't sit right with me-"

Cyrus's face contorting with confusion, not having to face a recruit like this one before

"But he couldn't even harm you after throwing all his strength towards your ribs correct?"

"Unless I'm missing something here?"

Winterfall smiles attractively as he speaks, showing off his pristine and pearly teeth, those of which show not a hint of imperfection.

"He managed to send the force of his punch past my muscle and straight through to my bones"

Cyrus lifts up his shirt revealing a black and purple bruise the size of a fist on his ribs.

"He broke my ribs, and I don't even think he realized himself"

"He might show himself to be a danger to us in the future"

Cyrus unable to hide a hint of worry in his tone

"I'll have Lilith keep close watch on him then, and inform us of anything"

Winterfalls red eyes seemingly shine with a dangerous light as he speaks

"He won't be able to get away with anything should he try…"
