It's Thanksgiving today and everyone is ready to leave the house to go to the family party my uncle and his wife is hosting. The excitement in meeting my cousins after 2 years of not seeing them bolts like lightning in my body. I'm very excited to have this off day and spending the time with my family .It's been a busy week at work since it's festive and everyone is rushing in and out of the store I'm working at as a Cashier. I hate my job really but I am the one to blame since I didn't do my atmost best in high school.i failed my seniors and didn't get the National senior certificate I always wanted. It was heart breaking seeing all my other buddies going to college and university to fulfill their dreams and getting that Job they always wanted,if only I stopped with my foolishness and spend more of my time focusing on my school work than going to useless parties and doing crazy things to damaged my life . I wasn't on drugs but I did stupid things, following friends and smoking weed and drinking beer for fun.Now look at my reality working for a retail store for four years straight out of high school and working for a ungreatfull boss who doesn't seem to give a shit about his employees health.all that really matters is making the customers happy ,putting a smile on your face and working 7-7 every second day since the store isn't making money.Thats (kak praat colored slang word for bullshit.-Sa only) bullshit really or how can I put it all lies . That's the boss's way of Saying u will work I don't give a fuck if u don't see ur family on time for dinner u need this job not me .
So here I am in the car with my family on our way to my rich uncle's house to his family party.I've never really met my uncle's spouse's family so this will be a first time for me and seeing my uncle's new house.He made his name reach sky high since he started his own furniture business that was a huge success 2 years ago, talk about thousands .So here we are going to the high class area with glass houses ,sports cars ect. it's amazing seeing how wonderful some people can live really talk about dedication. What surprises me more is the fact that my dad came along. He is not a man for going to any family events or funerals but since his baby brother invited the eldest brother who is my dad made him come
along. We were driving for two hours trying to locate my uncle's house deep on the hill's of slangknop.I've never heard of a rich area called slangknop but here we are trying to locate the damn place .The GPS is not even's working properly keeps on saying error or u seem lost "no lady u are the lost one here ".This bitch is making me look more stupid because now my mother is yelling from the back seat asking me if I can read a map ."like look mom the GPS is supposed to give the directions not me plus my spellings is right I think".But here we are a small family in my dad old polo looking pale of it's color in a grand area with all these fancy cars and building shining as bright as the sun.We had to take a U turn to the gas station because the gas/petrol was running low.i had to use my last 100 bucks just to fuel Kathrine my dad's car up so that she can stay alive.My dad was getting fed up of us girls yelling the whole time cause we didn't know how to use the electronic device as he calls it.He had to ask directions from the people working at the gas station and it looks like a success because the man(pops)came and told us to shut the fuck up. Finally we were on the road and reached our final destination. As we pulled up the drive way, I'm blown away of how big my uncle's house really is .Talk about the rich like damn! uncle u really hit the jackpot. The cars and water fountain was to die for,our car was the only car out of place really but it's ohk we all love Kathrine since she's the one that's takes us to places.As we reach the front door of My uncle's house ,the door swings open with my cousin Yaseen jumping with his fat chubby body on mine almost breaking my back.He was so excited to see all of us and couldn't evens wait for my sister Susan aka Vee to get in the house so that he can show her around and fight/ resells her in his room.she's a Tom boy girly who loves bts.we were greeted with a swamp full of people we do not know. My uncle's wife Faa was the first one to stop us and greeted us with a warm smile and loving hugs.she is such a sweet heart .She took us to the dining area where we met the rest of her family and friends. The dining table was so large it contains seats of more than 50 people. Just as we got acquainted with the family of my aunt Faa my uncle Desmano walks in and greets my dad first than us .The Happy smiles and warm welcomes he gives was so heart welcoming. I was so glad I choose to come to this family event,this is surely a good day for me .
The table was filled with jokes and laughter as everyone starts to chatter across one another.One group listened to my uncle talking about the donkey jokes and the other listening to a lady talking about her latest fashion designer dress.Everything seems to fit so in place except me, I didn't belong here really. As I look next to me I see my sister and mom in their own little world so I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling boring and left out. My dad seemed to enjoy himself with the wine and wishkey coming his way.I think he really missed his brothers.Right after we came my other two uncles with there wife's and children also came in and joined the family fun.The whole family was there except one man or guy my cousin keeps on talking about.if I heard correctly his father or uncle, I don't know which one but that generous man is the one who invested in my uncle's furniture business and because of that it was a big hit.My cousin was blabbering about how good looking and rich this man is,like bitch it's not rich money it's his family's riches.All the other girls and ladies became Interested when they heard his name and how he made a name for himself despite his father's million dollar company.oops my dad I spoke to soon. Word's been going around that he is so arrogant and sexy that he was abominated the most edge liable bachelor all over the news and magazines ,i think I'm reading the wrong magazines and watching fake news because believe me i didn't see shit on the tv, these bitches really are dick crazy for some guy who doesn't even come on time.He can have any girl he wants and how my cousin can't help my admire him when ever he comes to the house with his uncle to talk about business or a new model design he want my uncle to create. The girl's eyes was glossy and cheeks was turning pink of how excited she was just by talking about him.She was already wishing and planning her wedding with the men who never evens looked her way.Her words not mine, I couldn't help but listen to her blabbering about how perfect this idiot is.
