Nessa became angry after hearing his warning, but instead of venting her anger on the prince, she chose to wait and sighed in response.
"I get it, your highness, you don't have to worry about me being rude to your father any longer," She said as his eyes narrowed and he sighed.
"Are you trying to be sarcastic here?" He inquired.
"No, I'm not; I'm just telling you what you want to hear," she replied to which he chuckled.
"Can I take your leave if that's all?" She inquired.
"Are you forgetting your place as a maid here because the king has taken quite a liking to you?" He asked and she lowered her head.
"Perhaps I am, and is there anything wrong with that?" He scoffed when she asked.
"Yes, you must remember where you stand," He responded.
