Fuck this is giving me a headache just thinking about it!
I cursed in my mind as I stared at the colony's development plan drawn up by the genesis initiatives higher-ups which was made with the thought that the wormhole wasn't going to disappear out of anywhere and additional supplies could be sent over with the next wawe of colonists onboard a transport ship fully dedicated to carrying as many supplies as possible.
In the original plan, the colony was supposed to rely on electricity from solar panels and fuel-based engines that we brought.
But the oil supplies aren't going to last for long and the energy of solar panels won't be enough to support us once it does so the only viable option is to land the ship and use its nuclear reactor as a power source while at the same time using it as our HQ.
Until we can find and start extracting black oil in new Earth which according to the big-brained scientists back on Earth shouldn't be hard to find but if I do we will lose our orbital bombardment capability and there's no way to get the ship back into space unless the R&D wackos can figure out how those airships are levitating in the air.
I thought as I rubbed my tired face only for the battle alarm to turn on.
As it did I sprung from my room's seat and ran to AM seated in his station's chair.
"Give me the sit rep!"
I said making AM pull up the satellite's live video feed which shocked me once again even though I thought that wasn't possible anymore after seeing the Kraken but apparently new Earth still had a lot of surprises in store for me.
"XO those aren't fucking zombies ar they?"
I asked as I looked at the countless armored and armed zombies with missing limbs and rotted wounds showing their black blood-stained bones storm out from the countless abandoned buildings and crawl out from the earth under the damaged stone streets as the dwarf's airships steam canons fired one iron cork after another at them ripping them apart leaving behind large craters.
While hundreds of armored dwarves looking like bonafide Vikings slid down the ropes onto the ground of which some unlucky ones lost their grip and fell to their death while the ones who landed successfully started slashing and hacking the fearlessly charging at them undead with their iron axes.
"Although I'm finding it hard to believe myself Captain it seems like they are really undead I wouldn't be surprised if we get to see a bunch of dragons one day. Heck, I'm starting to believe that gods actually exist!"
AM joked as he felt his sanity slowly crumbling.
"Gods huh?"
I muttered under my breath after listening to AM's words as my lips started twitching from the thought that there's a possibility that gods actually exist and it drove me mad because I couldn't accept that there are beings that can play with my life as they see fit, it was also the reason why unlike my mother who was a firm believer of the Christian god I was a hardcore atheist and I utterly detest anything related to religion.
"So captain what are your orders do we interfere or...?"
"No. For now, monitor the situation and wait for my orders."
I cut off AM before he could finish his words as I sat down in my seat and put on my helmet.
...
"What the hell are they doing?! Tell them to pick up their pace! We must land as many of our warriors as possible before that thing starts destroying our ships with its unholy magic!"
Hammerfall roared into the bronze tube connected to the signaller's poles loudspeaker making the already out-of-breath signaller start wawing his different colored flags even more intensely.
Only for a bolt of black lighting to shoot out from the castle's highest tower and blow up the airship from the inside out as the lighting made out of highly concentrated death mana made the gasified air mana become unstable and explode.
While dozens of undead wyverns, griffins, pegasus, and other types of flying undead creatures with their undead riders flew out from the other castle's towers and started attacking other airships.
As the destroyed destroyer's burning remains fell onto the city's abandoned houses squashing to death hundreds of zombies.
"Ragnar lest go!"
Seeing this Hammerfall ordered as he turned around and started walking to the nearest landing rope.
"My lord, what about the heir?"
Ragnar asked because he knew that it was only a matter of time before ODIN will get destroyed too.
"Blah! I don't give a dam about that coward if he wants to rot in Nilfhelm for his cowardness so be it!"
Hammerfall cursed as he quickly scanned the room with his eyes only to see that the heir was nowhere to be found.
Hmph! That coward must have locked himself in his room!'
...
Yet unlike Hammerfall thought the truth was that the heir wasn't a coward he was actually full of fighting spirit but sadly he had no talent in fighting and magic cultivation and once he understood it at the age of 10 he stopped attending his fighting and magic cultivation lessons arranged by his father.
This made his father greatly disappointed in him causing his father to cut off his allowance completely in hopes that the boy will start attending his lessons again yet to his surprise the boy started doing business with the few silver coins he had on hand and he was good at it extremely good.
At the age of 15, the boy was already richer than him yet because of the hedonistic lifestyle that he could afford thanks to the fortune he amassed the boy became an utter disappointment in the dwarf's eyes who valued fighting power and muscles above else.
So since only a male could become the chief and he had no other son he brought back the wreckage of the empires mechanical knight that he acquired during one of his raids and gave it to his eldest daughter who was a genius in Steamworks in hopes that she could build one for his son and she didn't disappoint him.
And now the topless already sweaty Yolmir from showing a bunch of coal into the boiler installed in the 7 meters tall golem's back was climbing up into the iron golem cabin with the help of iron railings fixed to the golem's iron armor plates.
"Urghhh I should have really exercised more instead of gorging myself on food!"
Yolmir grunted under his breath as sweat trickled down his layers of fat.
After climbing into the golems cabin and after buckling his leather belts Yolmir pulled a lever causing the golem's chest to close making the cockpit get engulfed in darkness with the only source of light peeking through the narrow impure glass square viewports in front of him.
Father ill crush that liches skull myself and prove to all those muscleheads that you don't need a bunch of muscles to become a great warrior!
Yolmir thought as he pressed a pedal with his right foot making the golem's exhaust pipes scream as steam came out from them while the golem started sprinting forward at full speed and jumped out through the giant hole in front of him.
...
"Odin the all-father I your champion Hammerfall beseech you to bless me with your divine strength!"
Hammerfall who had received Odin's blessing at an age of 15 after his first raid prayed to Odin and as he did a black raven that appeared out of nowhere flew straight into his chest and disappeared but as he did Hammerfall felt demigod-like strength start coursing through his body.
"Odin is with us!"
He roared as he used his newfound strength and hacked a bunch of armored and armed zombies with rooted faces and yellow-black blood-stained teeth into pieces with his iron battle axe causing them to light up in flames thanks to his glowing red fire runes carved out into his axe.
While his personal heavily armed warriors behind him followed suit by taking a few zombies by individually as they slowly advanced towards the cliff where the wretched litch was busy destroying their airships one after another with its unholy magic.
Only for a giant made out of countless zombies glued together to break out from a pile of rubble.
Seeing this Hammerfall who was also an eight-order berserker just a level belove the chieftain started charging toward it while chanting a bunch of body-enhancing spells that caused his muscles to swell with his green blood vessels expanding to the point that it looked like they were about to burst at any second as his speed increased to inhuman level while he tightened his grip around his axe making his knuckles turn white.
Only for an iron morning star propelled by steam to smash into the giant's ugly vomiting-inducing face.
"What the...?"
Hammerfall exclaimed as he turned around only to see a humanoid iron giant without a head that resembled the empire's mechanical knight quite a lot to jump over his head and cleave the zombie in half with its red hot axe arm heated by the steam.
Then he saw the bloodred painted iron golem squash the zombie's head into meat paste with its iron foot as his morning star retracted itself into his left steam-leaking arm as it did the golem gave out a thunderous battle roar.
