Something in the air caused all the dragons to roar and run, the ground shaking. In the distance came a noise that could only be described as 'The Waning Moon', but in front of them there was no trace of it. What it was they didn't know, nor did they care to find out.
For now however they were just thankful for the shelter of their caves Lance watched with wide eyes as his brothers flew around the large room in excitement before his eyes settled on where his own mother lay sleeping. He was too young to understand what he felt, but she looked sad and lonely.
She must have seen him watching her, for she reached out weakly with one frail hand and pulled on his shirt sleeve. Lance couldn' help but smile at her, even if her fingers felt like ice against his skin. It took her some effort, but she eventually managed to get his attention, and then pointed to a dark corner on the other side of the cave.
