Lance grinned as he turned and spotted a pile of discarded metal balls on one side of the room. Grabbing one, he began running at it until he felt a slight sting on his arm and dropped the ball. Turning his head slightly he saw blood dripping onto the floor.
He stared at his arm for a moment before looking at the blood. A second after he took a step backwards in alarm as the red liquid slowly dripped onto the carpeted floor, forming a small puddle under him.
Slowly, he bent down and ran his hand gently over the red liquid. The liquid stung where his finger brushed against it, but the pain wasn't nearly as intense as the panic he was currently feeling. His breathing sped up slightly. Why am I bleeding? He questioned himself.
