Shiro gritted his teeth together and nodded in response. Together the two of them moved towards the battle with renewed purpose. They reached each other's side in no time and both threw out their hands to form a powerful shield around them and protect the rest of the team from the incoming attacks. Once they were ready they jumped back, allowing each other to attack first.
The moment the monsters got within reach, the shield shattered and the two paladins unleashed their full power at once. They attacked with everything they had, trying desperately to drive all the creatures back with enough pressure that they wouldn't hurt the others, at least not permanently. They didn't want to think about what that would mean if they succeeded.
