[During possessions any HP/MP is halted so anything used is paused, but you can still succumb to long term infliction's and will cease bodily interactions for healing]
Lance sat up in bed wincing as he held tight to his injury thinking about how he felt going after Shay against his will. Coy and Letty came into the room with another woman dressed in gold blazer and navy blue skirt. They both looked worried.
"Lance, you are Lance correct?" She asked.
He nodded confused why she was here.
"Mainly here to check if you are okay, but I would like to congratulate you on passing the first fight." She smiled.
Lance was still confused. Why was everyone looking at him like that?
"What are you smiling at?" He asked.
She chuckled gently "I would like you to meet your instructor, Lance."
"Your what?"
A man with long white hair walked into the room dressed in mustard yellow sweater and grey pants. His eyes looked tired. The woman next to him stepped forward.
"Hello Lance, I am Shiro and I will be working with you the next couple days. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Lance stared at him wide eyed before turning back to the man with silver hair . "Okay...uhhh...nice meeting you too I guess."
Shiro raised his brows at him "I hope you will be able to understand the next test is concentration."
Lance gulped, "Yes, I will try my best sir."
Shiro nodded at him. "Very well. We will see you again after healing therapy."
After that they left.
Lance laid back down wondering what had just happened, he was so confused. Why were they looking at him like that? And why does this guy have weird hair? What kind of test is this?
He groaned as he tried to get back asleep. He didn't want to think about what else the tests would be like today. Maybe he could try asking Shiro for some answers.
A small knock on the door startled Lance. His father peaked in angrily making Lance sit up scared for his life.
"You know you are supposed to be resting right?" His father spat "Why aren't you sleeping!"
"Sorry." Lance muttered.
His dad stormed over to the bed glaring at him "I was told you hesitated for a long time to reacted…if you hesitate the next time I will disown you, Lance!"
He turned and marched out slamming the door shut behind him. Lance felt suddenly dissapointed. He wasn't allowed to make mistakes, his Dad thought he couldn't. So why did this man act like that towards him? His heart hurt more than his wound.
When Lance woke up the next day he was exhausted and sore all over. He barely opened his eyes trying to ignore the pain. His wound hurt worse than it had yesterday when he got into trouble for not doing something. The worst part was, even though he wanted to go back to sleep his stomach growled loudly telling him he needed food.
"I wonder how my sister is doing…"
With effort he forced himself out of bed and made his way to his bathroom. Once in there he washed off the sweat from the fight and splashed cold water onto his face to wake himself up. After that he dried off and went back to his bedroom.
This place will not cater to you as they expect you to be Independent and learn how to carry by yourself . If you fail they will take away your privileges and you leave here alone forever.
That's what he heard the others whisper, he quickly shushed it out loud hoping no one heard him talking to his inner self. But that wasn't going to help his situation. This was going to suck if he failed the second test and then they kicked him out of here. No one would want to associate with someone who acted like they didn't have the same agenda all the time. His dad never let him live it down when he did things like that.
Lance groaned putting his head into his hands. He hated this place already. He pulled out one of his books and checked the contents. He knew this stuff pretty well. He could memorize all these facts by the end of the week. He took a deep breath and picked up the book ready to start.
Another knock startled Lance from his book, he looked to see who it was, it was probably his dad come to yell at him again. Lance sighed knowing it was probably just someone coming to find where he had gone. As soon as the door slid open he heard someone walk closer. A hand reached in and touched his shoulder.
"Hey, you alright?"
"S-Shiro?" Lance yelled.
Shiro laughed at Lance's outburst, "Sorry man, I didn't mean to scare you."
Lance rubbed his arm embarrassed. His shoulder was sore, he guessed the training room really did damage him.
Shiro looked around taking in his surroundings, "Look, I heard you had a strained relationship with your old man."
Lance tensed hearing that.
Shiro glanced at him "I'm sure this isn't easy, I know that I had the same problems, but if you need some advice, don't hold anything back."
Lance gave him a shaky nod feeling his cheeks grow warmer. Shiro grinned, "We will be working closely together today."
Then he was gone again leaving Lance alone to read. He tried closing his eyes but the words kept floating across the page distracting him. He had only just gotten to reading the first chapter when Shiro returned.
"Lance, today we will be learning how to control your aura." He smiled.
Lance's eyebrows knitted together confused.
"If you focus on your breathing, and you keep quiet nothing will happen and that is why you must learn before you enter the room again" Shiro explained calmly. Lance slowly brought his fingers to his forehead concentrating hard as he tried to calm himself down. He watched as his aura slowly shifted to a darker grey colour.
"No, no we are different, Lance."
