Chapter 27 - Chapter 27 Recalling past 1

Skylar is seated on the garden bench as usual, and Leo has brought his latest flavor of tea.

He gives his mum one.

When she finishes it, she remarks, "New flavor? In what

happiness?

"Do we need a reason to adjust the tea's flavor?" he asks.

Okay, if you won't tell me the reason, I'll wait until you are ready to tell me, Skylar says.

He says, "Some other time mom, not today."

Then he says, "Mom, we still haven't finished talking from last time.

Why did dad go, who is he with, and where is he now?

I don't know where he is right now," she admits.

I'm aware that he is raising her.

I hope he's happy, he must be.

"Who she is"

He asks.

She is his hope and his purpose for living, Skylar says after waiting a long to speak.

She is the offspring of Destiny.

The day of our engagement was the last time I spoke with her.

The final time we spoke before she went, she hugged me and whispered, "Take care of him."

Even your father and I were unaware that she was departing.

As far as we know, she left after attending the institution.

She changed universities.

Even her aunt and cousin brother were in the dark about her departure.

I agree that your father was not the same when she departed.

We were close pals.

We once discussed having our kids married and becoming in-laws.

I don't know if she took what we said literally, but I was being really serious.

I became pregnant after we received our university degrees, and we gave birth to you.

When he was with you, your father was incredibly joyful.

When he was with her, he used to be that content.

That he moved on made me so happy.

Actually, I knew in my heart that he remained where she had left him and had never gone on.

"Don't you dislike him mom?" Leo enquires.

He is your husband and he still had feelings for his former flame.

"I didn't think like that son," she continues.

Love is not something you own.

When we love another person, we never anticipate receiving it back.

Do you agree that if we do that, it will be like business dealings?

That was the way your father used to believe.

I subsequently questioned him, "Don't you hate that she loves someone else and not you," when she showed up at the wedding with another man.

"Love has a rule that it has no rule," he responded with a smile.

We cannot control falling in love with someone.

I'm pleased for her if she loves him.

I only wish that he feels the same way about her so that she won't experience the same heartache that I do.

He was holding her when she was going to fall, and that makes me glad.

I believe he has feelings for her.

I am content.

We don't love out of any selfishness, he had stated.

We simply adore them; we are unable to articulate our feelings.

Remember that you met her and held her so you may live a happy life together if you ever had those feelings.

Because of how he treated her, I fell in love with him.

She was never necessary for him to love her.

I adored him as a result of his commitment and sincerity.

I wouldn't have had the same opinion of him if he had ever declared his love for her to be unrequited.

Although I wasn't a god and felt jealous as well, their love was so strong that it overcame any lust and avarice, so all I could do was be there for him.

Even on her deathbed and even after she passed away, he never sobbed.

But he was unable to escape that suffering.

He appeared to be in good health outside, but he wasn't; approximately a month after her passing, he entered the realm of death.

Except for you, he never spoke to anyone else.

He used to play and converse with you for hours and after he was no more himself.

I don't know why he decided to leave unexpectedly one day after she passed away for roughly three months.

He went to her former flat after his sister told me.

His first encounter with her occurred there.

Everyone made an effort to conceal the fact that she was Destiny's child, but when he finally saw her, he began to cry for the first time in months.

The infant was crying, but as soon as he held her, she stopped, as if they were each other's painkillers.

He wouldn't have survived for very long if he hadn't encountered her that day.

What is her name, he enquired.

She was his daughter as soon as the other person mentioned her name.

because the child's name was the one that your father liked best.

Was she dad's daughter? Leo queries.

What then transpired?
