Avery's pov;
"Sheila ! come help us" I yell as Eric and I enter the apartment with all the stuff from the store . We bought quite a lot because I know how much those punks eat and plus they get super excited to play drinking games so I ensured we had enough alcohol for that.
"Ohh good , I see you brought the beers for the games" She says and she dances around excitedly . Not sure she will be excited once they give her impossible boyfriend dares later on tonight . But shh let's not tell her.
I turn around to see Eric helping to put things on the counter from the plastic bags.
"Um Eric ? Don't you need to go back home to change?" I ask .
"No I am good , I came prepared" he answers while lifting the can of beer . His biceps are popping out of his t-shirt and for a second I think it is going to rip . Why must he be so hot all the time? It is like he wears these tight fitting tops to tease me .
Don't want to believe me ? Right now he is smirking at me because he caught me staring .
"Enjoy the view Love? I can give you a close up if you need" he says smiling all too innocently.
"I actually would rather die . Careful with those bottles , wouldn't want you to drop them because of being distracted" I say with sarcasm and fake worry.
He just chuckles at me and looks straight into my eyes one last time then continues his task.
Now this is what I mean by our relationship is complicated. One minute we are acting like siblings that can't stand each other and the other we are flat out either checking each other other or just plain flirting.
Sheila just keeps her opinion to herself when this happens in front of her because she believes we will end up together sooner or later and we don't need help from anyone for that to happen.
A silly thought , I repeat that to her everyday .
A few hours later , Cody and Lexa come in , then follows Tyler and some other guys and then last but not least Lore who is the princess of the group , she always comes late, we have established that fact by now.
"Lore you really have to work on time management you know. How come we always have to wait for you ?" Sheila says and we all laugh.
"Hey it is not my fault , I have to be the prettiest at all times. Plus if You never know when you will meet handsome men like this fine one here , I have to be prepared" she says smiling as she holds onto Eric's arm. Oh poor Eric , he is in for some trouble now that Lore has eyes on him *chuckle.
"Okay let's get this thing started. First Avery you have to present your new friend to us and tell us how you met" Lexa says excitedly as they all pay attention to us.
"Actually I think it is best if I do that myself . Avery has a bad memory she will get it all twisted" Eric mocks me and I almost throw my shoe at him.
Liar , who says I have a bad memory?
"Ouhh couple fight , I like this already" Tyler says and laughs to himself.
I roll my eyes and Eric just chuckles a bit.
"I guess Avery said the basics , I am Eric Stark . I am 25years old , I'm a senior finishing my degree at university"
"Avery and I actually met on a dating app" he chuckles and looks at me , I hide my face with the couch pillow . This is embarrassing and they are never going to let it go. Why didn't he just invent something else?
Eric is too honest for his own good.
"A dating app? So you- you both dated?" Lexa asks shocked and the rest look confused as well.
"No no , of course we didn't . It is true that we started off on a dating app but then we started hanging out a lot and realized we are good as friends , I would even go as far as calling us best friends , soulmates even" he smiles at me while saying the last part.
I am flustered as he takes me by surprise . Isn't he dragging it a little bit? Soulmates?
"Soulmates already? You guys are so cute . When is the wedding?" Lexa asks with her eyes wide.
"Wow wow wow , chill . Eric and I are just friends , close friends yes but that is that , just as he said . Don't deform anything silly" I say and I flick her forehead , she pouts and we all laugh at her reaction.
"That was well deserved. You are always trying to put people together, you should have been born as the Cupid . The job was made for you" Cody jokes and we all join in , Lexa as well.
"This is starting well" I say sarcastically in Eric's ear.
"Oh come on Avery this was your idea plus I think it is going just fine , this is gonna be a fun night I can feel it" he says quite excitedly.
Oh he has no idea what these people are gonna put him through . We will see if it is still fun then.
As the guys talk , Sheila , Lexa, Lore and I go bring the snacks and drinks to the living room for the rest.
"Um Avery?" Lore calls and i him at her while taking out the glasses from the drawers down.
"If you and Eric aren't together does that mean he is single? Is he seeing anyone at the moment?" She asks and I give her my attention because we are talking about serious stuff.
Lore is the type of girl who falls in love a little too fast , like in the first hour of meeting type of fast. Does she really have a thing for Eric? I don't know , could be one of those phases , she will probably be over him by next week. No offense to her , she is my friend but I know her and I am not about to let Eric be in this.
"He is not seeing anyone at the moment, he is very single , why? Interested already?" I tease
"I mean he is a fine man and he seems really cool and chill and I like that so why not? If he is single that means I can shoot my shot. That is unless you want him for yourself and can't bear to see him with me ? I can back out if you want" she says genuinely.
Does it bother me that she may have a chance with Eric? No , right?
I mean I am the one who set these boundaries in our relationship so I don't have the right to feel this way.
"No , you can go for it. That is if he will have you . He is quite a complicated man to get" I tell her sincerely.
"I like a good challenge. We shall see how long he can resist me for" she smirks and goes to sit with the boys . She goes specifically sit next to Eric , where I was sitting , okay rude.
"Sheila , Avery are y'all coming with those drinks or not? We are going to play date or drink so hurry" Tyler calls from the living room.
To the game we go . The night really starts now.
"So Tyler , I am going to give you a date and if you don't want to do it you drink ?" Cody says and Tyler nods his heads yes . We all know the rules of the game by now.
"I dare you to lick Lexa's feet from top toe down" we all shrink in disgust , that is so gross. Thankfully that is not me.
"I have no problem doing that , honestly I've licked worse" he says smirking to us.
"Ew just do it , we don't need the details of you licking someone's balls" oh yeah I forgot to say Tyler is gay.
He does the dare and quickly drinks water which I don't think helps but oh well , Cody helps Lexa clean her foot with baby wipes and the game continues with more of these gross dares and for some reason no one has drank yet .
The bottle turns again…
It stops on Lore and Lexa decides to give her the dare .
"Okay let's see… I dare you to give neck kisses to Eric right now for 30seconds" oh it is starting to become explicit. What is with Lexa all of a sudden and she is giving me a look as if she wants to see my reaction.
Well she won't have one , it is a game that is all.
Lord scoots over and literally sits on Eric's lap , totally not necessary, the heck!
Eric doesn't push her away because he is a gentleman and he is too nice to do that , he knows she would feel embarrassed.
She puts her arms around his neck and starts kissing from the nape to his jaw .
For 30sec my eyes are fixed on what is happening, Lore is enjoying this way too much and I am starting to not like this at all.
The 30seconds end and she kisses his cheek before going back to her place. Like seriously why?
Eric then looks at me asking if I am okay because I bet I have a pissed off face on right now . Get it together girl. It is a game and even if it wasn't-
"I am okay" I whisper to him and he nods going back to the bottle to turn.
The bottle points at Eric this time and Sheila proposes to give him the dare. She looks at me first and I know she is going to do something big.
"Eric , I dare you to French kiss Avery for 10seconds" she smiles at the both of us once she is done giving her dare.
Oh lord.
