Eric's pov;
I have been hanging out with Avery a lot recently and she is really a fun person to have around which is why I ask her out a lot and plus she helps me forget all the chaos I face at home. People tend to think that having a millionaire life is all glitter and fun but they don't know it is a lot of pressure I have to endure to fit in the standards my parents have set career wise and in terms of finance . As much as I am very good at my job at the lab and even though I have always excelled in my education, I have never really taken a break and actually congratulated myself because my parents expect more , always more and it drains me a lot, so when I talk to Avery and she shares her minor problems but mostly fun stuff she does everyday , it lightens my mood and helps me take my mind off things.
I have thought of Avery as more than a friend , definitely. I mean have you see her? She is one gorgeous lady . A bit clumsy and overconfident but still an awesome human being.
As for her I don't think she sees me as that just yet, emphasis on yet , because I know she will come around eventually. She has told me about her ex and how things turned out so of course I don't expect her to just jump into my arms . Even though my arms will always be available for her to fall into them. Oh boy since when did I become this hopeless romantic? Must be the movies Avery forces me to watch . *sigh what this girl makes me do *shake my head.
Like right now she asked me to help her pick alcoholic drinks for her girl's night party , I don't get why I am the one she is asking considering the fact that I don't drink but I wouldn't miss an opportunity to spend time with this girl so here I am.
"How many girls are going to be there exactly?" I ask Avery.
"Honestly I don't know, I was just told to bring a lot of various drinks so let's just pick a random number of bottles and not ask questions " she says as she picks up some Jack Daniel's bottles and puts them in the basket.
"Aïe aie my captain" I say and put my hand on my temple like a soldier to hopefully lift up the mood and relieve some of her stress .
"Okay soldier , can you go over the other aisle and get me some hangover drinks please" she laughs and I nod going there. I guess this is our thing , I joke around to make her loosen up and she makes me forget my family issues without even realizing it . A very 50-50 relationship. I'm loving it.
Avery's pov:
After Eric and I finished shopping for drinks , he drove me back to my apartment and we planned to see each other probably the next day , yes we have been seeing each other everyday , he is really fun to have around , even though I would never admit it to him because he will start feeling himself too much , he is an ego maniac enough as it is but that sometimes makes his charm .
I enter the apartment and find some girls already there and Sheila was near the speaker with her phone in her hands trying to find her playlist I guess.
I walk directly towards the kitchen to store the drinks in the freezer for when the party actually starts. It is only 7pm so I guess In about an hour or so the other girls will start coming in.
I am gonna go change into pajamas because that's the theme for the night ; onesies , Norma pjs , dentelles and even lingerie with silk robes for the bold ones and of course I am part of the bold ones , I am wearing a silk robe with a dentelle top and some short shorts, same goes for Sheila , ever since starting to date professor Gary she has been dressing a bit more sexy , I think dating an older guy changes you in some way, I just hope she is not changing herself because of that pressure though .
When I get out of the room, my phone buzzes in my pocket and when I take it out I see a text from Eric .
Eric : Have fun , pretty. <3 and don't forget to send me some pictures of the girl's outfits😉
Me : In your dreams , pervert 😝
Eric : Only yours then? (jk) don't kill me ^^
Me : I don't think you want to see what I am wearing , trust me. Your pure eyes wouldn't want that. Anyways bye got to go .
Eric : Come on , Avery, don't be like that ^^ .
Anyways I will blow up your phone with texts the whole night , enjoy that dummy 😎.

This guy is unbelievable *chuckle.
"Who is that making you smile like that Avery? Do I know him?" Sheila asks as she tries to spy on my phone screen before I put it back in my robe pocket .
"It's just Eric chill" she wiggles her eyebrows at me and winks "sure , it's 'just' Eric. I can't wait for when y'all will be a thing . I have to have a conversation with him though, he needs my blessing first"
I roll my eyes "It's not like we are getting married calm down girl" she shrugs and still gives me that look of we shall see.
"Anyways , girl you never told me how many girls were gonna come through tonight"
"Oh right. I invited some girls from your history class , some from my home room and other random chicks that my girls recommended so we might be around 15-20 girls in here" 20??? Tf.
"Oh no , this apartment is about to be messy as hell after this , and worst part is we the ones who are gonna have to clean up, great" I sigh as I see more people arriving.
"At least the apartment is big enough for all these people and plus let's just enjoy this girl night and figure the rest out later" I nod and we head towards the living room to start setting the mood with the drinks and all.
All the girls came through , we have been vibing to Doja cat and twerking to Meghan Thee Stalion for a bit until we decided to play Dare or drink .
It was now my turn to choose .
"Okay so we heard you've been seeing this guy Eric and you can't deny it because people have been seeing him at our campus picking you up sometimes so we know. Y'all are cute by the way" Maya says and all the girls say 'oooouuuuuuuu' .
"So the dare is simple , call him right now on face time and twerk on the sofa right there and when you are done hang up without any explanation" all the girls giggle as they find the dare fun and so they all agree even Sheila , traitor.
"Sure , I am game. Let me call him right now" I dial Eric's number and he immediately picks up.
I give the phone to Maya who makes it face me while I go on the couch to do the dare.
"Um hey , Avery ? What are you doing?" I ignore him and start twerking on the couch , mind you I am wearing super short shorts with a silk robe so it's different from what he has seen me in. I am gonna have to prepare myself for the hundreds of questions he will ask me later.
At some point he stops talking and I twerk like my life depends on it , as I should . When I finish and turn around I see Eric with a smirk on his face but before he could say anything I hung up.
"Wow Avery , you made the guy speechless" Erina , one of the girls say and the rest excitingly agree.
"Let's have a toast for that" Sheila yells and we all grab our tequila shots and gulp them.
The game continues after that.
It is now 1:00am and the last girl leaves the apartment, it is now me and Sheila who remain with as I predicted a messy living area to clean up.
"Should we do this now or tomorrow?" Sheila asks me and I know she is feeling tired already.
"You can go ahead and sleep , I'll this up" I tell her . I am still feeling energetic and plus I didn't drink that much , which makes me sober and in a state where I can clean whereas Sheila is wasted.
"Are you sure?" I nod and she kisses my cheek and goes to her room but not before yelling "I love you"
I chuckle , "I love you too dummy."
As I am cleaning the counters I receive a text from Eric , it reads;
Eric : Nice show tonight , looking forward to seeing more 😉.
Me : It was a dare , nothing more . So keep dreaming lover boy 😂
Eric : oh trust me , all I do is dream about a certain someone…😁
Me : Get out of here Eric😂 , I'll see you tomorrow, when I don't have an ounce of alcohol in my system.
Eric : sure , Take care love.
