Avery's pov;
I woke up from my alarm showing the time which is currently 7:30am , is it too early yes to me it is but I have a lecture at 9am so I better get up and get it together . Last night was dark vibes with Lucas calling but I figured I shouldn't be in a gloomy mood for long it's apparently bad for your health *laugh I'm joking "bad for your health" what kind of nonsense am I speaking this morning *shake my head .
"Come on Avery get yourself prepped for the day , no more lounging around like a gloomy potato" some self motivating in the morning is always welcome . Let's get this day started.
"Good morning Sheila" I say with a smiling face
"Well good morning to you too , you look alive unlike yesterday. Magic of sleep I presume" she smirks as she makes fun of me.
"puff anyways yesterday was yesterday I want to leave it to that , today is a new day plus I kind of am forced to get it together for my 5hour long lecture in history" , "I am sure it's not that bad Avery since you love history, oh by the way Gary called yesterday and talked about this exhibition that your uncle AL is putting up this weekend , did you know about this?" My uncle AL? He is in town? Why didn't he contact me? And he is finally back with a new scientific miracle and didn't invite me? What a disappointment.
"I actually didn't know about it , which is weird but I am sure he will call to tell me about it. Will you go too?" Sheila blushes when I ask the question which is unusual since it's not that type of thing that makes a woman blush, "um I am going because Gary might go and so we can spend some time together then since he has been quite busy these last few months with his university tasks" ahh now I understand better it's because it's 'Gary' *shiver in the back eww love really does something to people not always good but I am glad she gets to experience this type of love . Maybe one day once more I will have that…. "Hello earth to Avery , did you hear what I just said or you were far gone into dreamland " she flicks my forehead "ouch that hurts , what did you say anyways?" "Nothing, let's eat quickly and go to campus it's getting late" she then goes to her room, okay? I will ask her later I guess.
In class…
"Good morning everyone , hope everyone is ready for today's lecture. Oh mrs.Miller you came on time today congratulations. Let's start shall we" he slyly says . I know it's a miracle for me to come early but does he need to put me on spot like that ? Huh I'll tell Sheila about this , he really forgot I have a weapon against him huh.
"Today we will be starting a new area which will cover various ancient kingdoms from the renown ones like Ancient Greece and ancient Egypt to the one will look at today which is the ancient kingdom of Alba" wait- Alba as in the Alba he told me to research about and make an essay? Why did he give me this task if he was going to teach it anyway?
"Mrs.Miller i remember giving you an assignment on this kingdom I hope you gave it a look" he looks at me with hope? "I did look at it briefly but nothing too deep so I don't know much" I mean with what happened yesterday i wasn't going to go back to the assignment which is obvious.
"Alright then , first thing to know is that the kingdom of Alba was one that was know in the Middle Ages as a peaceful kingdom ruled by averagely wise and peaceful men from Van Cobalt to Tobias Vos III who acted as the last recorded ruler of his dynasty . It was majorly an agricultural society but previously was a pastoral society occupied by the nomads , today this are on the map is now called Scotland , isn't it interesting everyone?" The professor sure was fascinated by this whole story which is weird because when we talked about it in his office he seemed skeptical about it saying there were anomalies said to have happened during that epoch like magic? Honestly I don't know but it's kind of creepy if we think about it , do I want to think about it no .
After some hours….*Bell rings*
"Okay class I will see you in the next session to continue this topic, I encourage you guys to make research beforehand i believe there is more to uncover" he ends the class to my relief as I am starving and need a breather , sitting for four hours is not fun at all.
*phone rings
"Hello, oh uncle AL! Good to hear from you , I was actually waiting for your call" I thought the man wouldn't call but I bet he will say some dumb stuff like 'I was busy , you know with being a scientist and all it's very time consuming' my uncle likes dragging the fact that he is a renowned scientist in the field of physics and math but anyways still love him hehe.
"Well I was working you know , the usual so I tend to get very busy" see what I said , dragging it
"Sure sure I know mr. Scientist. By the way I heard you have an exhibition this weekend"
"Oh yes yes that's actually why I called , I wanted to personally tell you and invite you of course and you can bring a plus one too. The last time you attended an exhibition of mine was when you were in high school that was really a long time ago so please don't miss this one , it's going to be mind blowing for many and I am sure you will find something interesting for you" it's true that I haven't gone to see his work in a long time so I'll definitely attend.
"Don't worry uncle I wouldn't miss it , can I ask for a spoiler though, please" I mean I'm his niece he should be able to tell me right
"Oh child you have not changed still so curious *laughs , okay just a little spoiler , it has something to do with time traveling " time traveling? Is my uncle really a genius? *laughs I actually doubted his skills wow
"Wow uncle i can't wait to see that "
"I'll see you there then dear niece" he hangs up after that. Wow I'm going to witness a sort of Time Machine? Avery you lucky one *disbelief
Ah but i will be all alone since Sheila is going to bail on me to hang out with her almost boyfriend professor Gary *cry in single . Since when do boyfriends matter more than bestest of best friends , huh Avery this is better than going back to Lucas so don't sulk.
About this exhibition I have a strange feeling this will change things somehow…
