'How does this work?' Was the only question Claire had in her mind at the moment, she was standing in front of the big baking machine, trying to figure out how it works, she was too embarrassed to ask Jake about it.
"Is everything going nicely?" Asked the manager, she wanted to check on the new girl that joined, "Well, I can't figure out how this works?" Claire pointed at the machine, she was embarrassed, but she had to ask someone.
The manger showed her how to use it, after thanking her, she was done with baking her first batch of cookies and muffins, she passed them to the staff, and they took it to the main cafe area where customers could buy it.
The whole day Claire was busy, she couldn't even have her lunch, it was five in the evening, when she was done, ready to leave, it was the first time in her life that she worked so much, "So, finally done are you?" Jake questioned, walking to her.
"Yeah, finally done, do you work like this every day?" Claire wasn't sure, if she could have been able to work like this since a young age, "You can say that, first it was quite difficult but now it's like a daily routine."
They were sitting in the cafe, just talking about random thing, "Can I get the best cake in the world!" Jasmine shouted as she walked inside the cafe, Claire was shocked to see her this early after so many days.
"J, what are you doing here?" Claire asked surprised, "Just wanted to have the cake made by my friend." She replied sitting with them.
"I will get it for you Miss," Jake said, getting up from his chair, "So, what were you talking about?"
"Nothing, just about work."
"Here, is your cake miss." Jake said, as he places the piece of cake in front of her on the table, Jasmine thanked him and took the first bite from the cake, "Wow! Claire you always bake the best cake!"
"She indeed does." Jake agreed with her, "Stop exaggerating, both of you!" They both laughed at her shyness.
"Did you talk to him after last night?" Jasmine suddenly asked, Jake looked at them and inquired, "With who?"
"With Jason, you know she didn't even tell me that she got a job here, but god knows how Jason found out about it and threw a small party for her!" Jasmine told him in one breath.
Jake was shell shocked, he didn't know Jason would do that, he thought it would be completely opposite, he would have stopped Claire to work with him, "But did he tell you, how he knew about your job?" Jasmine was being very curious.
Jake gulped, he was hoping that Jason didn't tell her anything, "No, he didn't tell me, but when I asked him, he said, I will find out soon." Claire frowned, she wished to know about it.
Jake sighed, feeling relieved, "Are you okay, you're looking pale." Jasmine noticed him sighing, "Y-yeah, I'm good, sorry girls, I have to leave." Jake stuttered, as he rushed out of the cafe.
"What happened to him?" Claire muttered.

Jake sat down on the couch in the living room, "Where is she?" He asked once again, completely losing his composure, "She didn't tell me." Sarah told him, looking at her brother's angry face said, 'Isabelle was gone.' She thought.
"Jake, do you think, she is of any use to use?" Sarah asked keeping the magazine aside from her hands.
"Why? Does her behavior make you doubt her?"
"It's not that, she hasn't done anything since she came here, I feel she won't be of much help to you." Sarah voiced her thoughts, even though she was over Jason, and she had nothing to do with him or Claire, but her brother was still very much into that girl.
"Don't underestimate Isabelle, once she sets her mind to something, she will do everything to achieve it." Jake had a lot of faith in her, as he didn't wish to be the bad guy, he wanted to make Isabelle the bad one in everyone's eyes.
Sarah shook her head and started reading the magazine, while Jake waited for Isabelle's call, what felt like ages his phone finally ranged, flashing her name on the screen.
"Where are you, can't you serious for once in your life!" He yelled, "God, why are you being so loud," Isabelle sounded sleepy.
"Wait, were you sleeping?" Jake glanced at the clock in the front, it was six-fifty in the evening, "Hmm, I was, you see... I didn't sleep at all last night."
Jake rubbed his forehead in frustration, here he was planning to ruin Jason and Claire's relation, and the one he was betting on was busy getting her beauty sleep,
"Isabelle, tell me honestly are you serious about your feelings for Jason?"
"What kind of question is that Jake, off course I'm!" She sounded angry, "Then will you go to him once he is ready to marry Claire?"
"Jake!" Isabelle shouted, she didn't even wish to imagine something like that, "It will happen if you don't do anything now!"
"What do you want me to do, should I go and tell his grandma that they are not in a real relationship, do you think that will be helpful!" Isabelle rolled her eyes, not getting any ideas how to break them up.
"I think that sounds excellent," Jake was pleased by her suggestion, "You should do that."
"I was just saying, and do you think they will let me meet her?" Isabelle didn't think that was a good idea.
"I can help you with that, but only if you do as you said right now." Jake knew this might sow a doubt in Jason's grandma's mind.
"I don't mind in doing that, but how will we meet her?" Isabelle was now completely awake, ready to work on this plan, "Don't think about how we will meet her, tell me when we should execute this?"
"How about tomorrow?" Isabelle asked, "Are you sure, will tomorrow be, okay?" Jake doubted it, as it was a Saturday, and he might be at home.
"Yeah tomorrow, and trust me, we will succeed!" Isabelle sounded confident, but Jake didn't have any faith in her, 'Let's hope so.'
