(3rd person POV)
Inside a large room stood a long oval table that stretched from one side of the room to the other. The table was a bright brown in color and was covered by a large black cloth that barely hung off of the tables sides. Around this table sat at least thirty different chairs, with only four of these chairs not having someone sitting on them. In four of these chairs sat one symbiote plant. Each symbiote plant was wearing a different colored cloth around its stem, which was the only apparent difference shown between each one.
Well, except between the shape of the leaves on their vines, which signified their gender, or their vine's length, which signified their age. But we will get to that later. In the other two chairs sat one human each. In one chair sat a small frail girl that looked around the room with curiosity, while in the other chair sat a tall imposing woman that wore a full set of purple armor that rode from the bottom of her feet, all the way up to her shoulders as it stopped shortly before reaching her neck. This woman also wore a long silver cord around her neck.
At the end of this cord sat a glimmering dog tag that, just like the silver cord, was also the color of silver. Of course, as you might have guessed, these two figures were actually Rose and Mary, the two people that Drax had saved after he had fought against the Bloody Pear Tree. In the other chairs sat a multitude of different races, each one wearing a different colored cloth around his or her chest. The whole room was alive with voices as a number of discussions were happening all at once. Of course, they were all really talking about one thing.
"What is happening to the surrounding forests"
"All the monsters seem to be evolving too quickly. "
"Soon enough it will be too dangerous to even walk beside the forest."
"What do we do"
"What can we do"
"What does this mean"
"I don't know, but the news of an S-Ranked monster as well as an A-Ranked monster showing up is spreading quickly."
"The blue woods is only supposed to be a 3 ring territory, why is there such a powerful monster in the woods?"
Suddenly, all voices stopped as a loud bang resounded throughout the entire room. All heads turned towards one plant. Gallard shuffled in his seat before clearing his throat and speaking. "I now call this meeting to order. I am almost entirely sure each one of you knows why I have summoned you all here, but I shall still give a small summary just in case.
Two weeks ago, a young adventurer was sent out into the forest to help take care of the increasing population of monsters. As most of you probably already know, this young adventurer is actually the son of the savior who had saved my village. His name is Drax and accompanying him was my daughter Gale. During their mission, Drax and Gale came across a young woman and her child being attacked by none other than an S-ranked monster known as the Bloody Pear Tree. But this isn't all as there was a recent citing of the Rank S monster known as the Kelo-vile, thankfully, this onster was quickly taken care of by Kuro before anyone could be hurt. On top of this, there has recently been a large increase in the number of A rank monsters as of date. " looking over to the duo, Gallard took a second to catch his breath before once again speaking.
"As I was not in the battle, I shall now let Ms. Mary and her daughter take over." Nodding over to the woman and girl, Mary gave a nod back before continuing where he left off. Telling their side of the battle, Mary and Rose finished up their story with how Drax saved them both before handing over the position of speaker back to Gallard. "Now, with that out of the way, our priority is making sure that the ones involved in the battle are properly taken care of. So, with that being said, Kyle, how is Gale doing?" asked Gallard as he looked at the symbiote plant standing to his right.
The symbiote plant was about three feet tall and had a white cloth covering his stem, which was the only noticeable difference between him and other symbiote plants. This man was Kyle, the symbiote plant tribe's medical doctor. "Not good" said Kyle, "I was able to stabilize her condition, so she's no longer in immediate danger, but we seemed to have found something in her body. The bloody pear tree that Drax fought seems to have implanted one of its Bloody pill parasites inside of her body.
Thankfully, we managed to extract the parasite in time and kill it, but it would appear that it has left a very toxic poison inside of her body. If not neutralized very soon, then her life will go back to being in danger, and we may very well lose her." "How long do you think we have before the toxins in her body start to take effect?" Asked Gallard "Hard to say, but at the current rate that it is affecting her body, one to three years at the most. Usually, this would be plenty of time to get an antidote, at least for a common poison.
But this is unfortunately not one of those situations. A bloody pill parasite's poison is exceedingly dangerous. Although it's not very fast acting, given enough time the poison could even kill SS Ranked monsters. And finding an antidote that has the capability to neutralize such a poison would be a miracle in itself. But buying the poison is another matter entirely. It would be like asking a dragon to hand over his hoard of treasure for free. It's simply impossible."
"That bad, huh?" Gallard muttered as he placed one of his vines against his chin (which was just the lowest of the four petals that stood upon the top of his stem.) while making a stroking motion. Giving a sigh, Gallard stopped stroking his chin as he looked at the person who was sitting right across from him. This Pacific person, or should I say woman, had orange triangle ears that stood on the top of her head as well as a long orange tail covered in black stripes. Poking out from the top of her lip was the tip of two small canines that stood at the top corners of her mouth. Covering her body was what looked liked a light set of chain mail armour with a slight golden tail to it. Running across her face was a long scar that seemed to have been made from monster with thick serrated.claws.
This was Kira, the guild master of the adventurers guild that was currently located at the center of the symbiote plant village. "Kira, have we obtained any new information on the Bloody Pear Tree yet?" Tapping her paw on the table, Kira slowly shook her head as she gave a sigh. "Unfortunately, we have not. As you already know, our adventures guild in the symbiote plant village doesn't have many adventures that are a high enough rank to even go near the monster. With that being said, the Kingdom of Drazzlen doesn't want to help out either.
I'm sorry Gallard, but it was hard enough as it was getting the Kingdom to put an adventurer's guild in the middle of the village, and although I did ask them to help us their exact answer was *Why should we help a damn demi village whenever we have better things to do.*" Giving another shake of her head she once again let out a sigh before mumbling "I'm sorry, I did what I could." Waving his vine in the air, Gallard said "Don't worry about it, now onto the next subject. How is are young Drax doing?...."
