Chapter 45 - EXTIRPATED...!

Li Chang sat in his house. Then suddenly, Charles rushes inside.

'Li Chang. Hey, dude. Where's Oliver? I heard has travelled back to the US without me. That guy sure have nerves, he doesn't know that we can't be separated like that.' Charles says.

'It's true, Oliver has gone back to the US. He didn't want you to abandon what you have worked for, just to follow him. Charles you've made so much money this three years, and you even found love. Don't abandon your life; I trust Oliver, he'll take care of himself.' Li Chang says.

'No! we made a promise to stick together, forever. And nothing can break that. I'm not going to stay forever; I just want to see that Oliver is Okay; that's all. Just that, and I will be back.' Charles walks out, and off he went to the airport.

Li Chang smiles. 'This is true friendship,' He says.

It was not too long that Charles left the hamlet, and Li Chang hears gunshots coming from outside his courtyard. 5 military transport helicopters were overhead the hamlet, and soldiers came down from it with ropes. The soldiers were all wearing masks, and an armored combat suits, which had the markings of Shéshizu. They shot the villagers with so much intensity. The guns they used were automatic assault rifles that were quite different from the normal guns – the rate of the outburst of bullets was so fast that it killed two people by one outburst.

The alert bell was rung, but it was too late for the villagers to take up ammunition. The soldiers shot rapidly, killing more and more villagers. The villagers which were lucky to get ammunition, returned fire.

Li Chang was ready to die as a brave warrior; he didn't care if he died now. Everyone would die someday, but it depends on how you die. He puts on a combat suit. He puts his sword into a scabbard, behind him. He takes his pistols, and he holsters his two pistols. He takes hold of his automatic assault rifle.

'I will win this war, or die fighting.' He comes out his house, ready to kill some scatterbrained soldiers.

The hamlet was in chaos. Bullets were fired. They flew through the air like a legion of insects. The projectiles made its way through the body of the villagers, killing hundreds of the villagers. The villagers fired back but they were no match for the heartless soldiers. Another helicopter lands, and the surgeon and a girl who was wearing a mask, which revealed only her eyes, came out of the helicopter. The girl's right eye was dysfunctional. Her right arm was replaced with a robotic one. She held a strange type of gun which had two muzzles, and a long scope.

'No, not the Surgeon!' Li Chang says as he sees the surgeon. 'I'll protect my people.' He cocks his gun, and charges forward, he crouches down, and opens fire on the soldiers.

The villagers fought as hard as they could against the soldiers, but they were dying out. Their strength were failing them. They fought for their families, their people. They fought to save Shéshizú, but they were failing.

The surgeon held a gun on his left hand, and a sword on his right. He was a killing machine; he shot with precision. A villager ran to him to stab him, but with a swipe of his blade he slices the villager's neck, and pushes him away.

'Where's Li Chang?!' The surgeon shouts.

Li Chang was alerted by the question. He saved some people, and they ran away through a secret passage. After saving a lot of people: mainly women and children, he returns to the battlefield. He shoots plenty soldiers as he ran back.

'Don't kill that guy, I'll take him on. He's the only one with the knowledge of the activation key.' The surgeon tells his soldiers, and he points to Li Chang. How did the surgeon know Li Chang? There must be a secret spy in the clan.

The girl that came with the surgeon was good as killing as the surgeon himself. She used mainly guns, and she shoot with more accuracy than any of the soldiers, even better than the surgeon. She shot plenty villagers, killing up to 25 people in total. The villagers retreated and ran for their dear lifes, but they couldn't go anywhere, unless through the secret path which only Li Chang knew about. Li Chang helps many Villagers to escape, including Huàbàn and Daniella.

Li Chang fought with so much intensity. 'If I die with the secret, it will remain hidden.' He says to himself. He reloads his rifle, and opens fire at the soldiers, killing 10+ soldiers. A soldier tries to stab him from the back, but he counterattacks and slices off the soldier's head with his sword.

Bullets flew all around, but no one wanted to confront Li Chang, except the girl with only an eye. The girl shot at Li Chang, but Li Chang was quick to hide behind a wall. Her shooting rate was so much which caused Li Chang to run deeper into the house. The girl shot each time she got a chance, and unfortunately, she shoots Li Chang on his arm.

Li Chang reached up to the 2nd floor, which was the last. He had to fight. He had to kill this girl before she kills him. He couldn't hear any sound only bangs of gun outside. Li Chang didn't see the girl behind him again. He didn't know where she was.

'Where are you?' Li Chang says, and points at the entrance, ready to pull the trigger.

The girl comes out of hiding and puts her hands up. She smiles devilishly.

'They said my brother was a true warrior, but I see a weak man. You didn't learn well enough. Bullets, guns, and swords became my toys after you left me to fall off a cliff.'

'What? Are you...? No you're trying to divert my attention from the battle.' Li Chang says.

'No, no, brother. I lost my arm and my eye because of that fall.' The girl pulls off her mask, and it was Mei, but older, without delicate features as she used to have. Li Chang gapes at his sister.

'Mei...?' He says with tears in his eyes. He drops the sword and the gun he was holding. 'Mei you're alive. I saw you fall to death.' Li Chang says.

'I fell that day. The innocent Mei you used to know died that day. And the warrior in me was awoken. I've the blood of the surgeon flowing throw my veins, because he donated his blood to me, so I can live. Li Chang, I had high hopes that you'll be better than father, but you're worst; you couldn't give them what they want so we can live happily.' Mei says.

'No, Mei, I can't; this would cause havoc in the world. They will start a war that they can't stop. The countries they will fight will counterattack China, and they innocent will die. We'll lose everything we sacrificed for.' Li Chang says.

'Li Chang, I am sorry. You can't be any better than our father. I choose to believe in what I've always believed in.' Mei points the gun at Li Chang, and she pulls the trigger, and their was a loud bang.

They war still continued. Children, innocent people, and families were killed. Blood flowed into the streams in large quantities. Plenty villagers surrendered.

'Shéshizú has fallen to the ground. The great and mighty Shéshizú has turned into dust. "Mighty", my foot.' The surgeon says happily, as he watched Mei come back to him.
