Kaima sat staring into the silver moon, when would this torture end? She hadn't eaten or drunk anything yet and she wasn't hungry. She didn't know how to tell Zain about the Tattoo she had gotten from the Xdenims.
Since she had been living in the Blue blood Mansion, he had been exposed to some killings and random gunshots, this was not the life she wanted to live. She wanted a peaceful life but she got the opposite. She was regarded as the Anam, the wife of the mafia boss, and was deeply respected by everyone in the mansion but she still couldn't let go of the fact that she was a mole.
She felt a palm on her shoulder which made her jolt, she turned to see Zain standing beside her in deep concern.
"You still haven't eaten but I don't want to force you," he said. "I'm patiently waiting for you to trust me and open up."
His words angered her to the extent she wasn't able to keep it in. She glared at him in disgust and pain which confused Zain for some seconds.
"Do you think I'm not aware of why you married me in the first place?" she snapped. "You behave as if you love me but I'm fully aware that you're using me."
When she was beginning the fall in love, her hope was destroyed by Xdenim's boss. He had told her the reason she was given a marriage contract.
The godfather of Bluebloods had been assassinated by the Xdenims just like said in the video and the only way for Zain to take over was for him to be married; he had to be married to be a mafia king. He couldn't think of any other girl to get married to but her not knowing she was forced to accept the proposal by the Xdenims. In her opinion, he had just ruined her and made her a pawn in the mafia game.
"I know you used me to get access to the position of the mafia king, I know you're just keeping me alive to maintain your position" she poured out her heart in anger. "You have no idea what your game has put me into, I hate you so much, Zain Niven"
Zain was confused, he never knew she was this angry.
"If you had a problem with this then why did you accept?" He asked in confusion.
"Well because…" she said but stopped considering the possibility of her tormentor listening to their conversation. "Please, just leave me alone"
She said before standing up from her usual spot, the window seat.
She had barely made a step before she began to feel dizzy and a bit giddy.
"Kaima, are you okay?" she heard Zain's voice in a muffled manner.
She felt his arm around her in an attempt to hold her. Zain had seen her lose her stamina; she looked a bit disorganized for a second.
"I told you not to touch me," she said pushing him away once she got her stamina back.
"I was just concerned about you; you don't look okay."
"I don't need your concern neither do I need your care" she snapped.
She walked just a few steps away before she lost consciousness and finally blacked out.
********************
"Wake up!" she could hear that once dreadful voice, the voice of her tormentor.
She opened her eyes on the bed but this time she saw an IV drip and a nurse injecting something into it.
"Anam, how are you feeling now?" the nurse asked.
Anam was something she was called respectfully by the gang members. It seemed every single worker belonged to the bluebloods and had the mark; the servants, the cook, the maids, the doctors, the nurse, everyone.
"I'll inform the boss," the nurse said.
"N-no, don't, I don't want to disturb him" she stopped her.
Kaima laid back in bed before she heard a screech from the earphone after the nurse left the room
"Sugar pie" that voice was enough to cause a rush of adrenaline in her. "I have a job for you"
"W-what do I do?" she said in fear.
"The bluebloods are having a meeting in the conference room," he started. "I want you to go there and find a way to hide a microphone in Zain's collar."
"B-but, how do I do that?" she asked.
"You're his wife, you should be able to fish out a trick," he said.
"What if he catches me?" she asked him remembering what Zain did to a spy at the charity event.
"Then you die," he said nonchalantly. "Don't try to act smart, I'm watching your every move."
"How do I know the conference room?" she asked. "I have someone waiting outside your room, he'll lead you there."
Kaima stood from the bed but felt a bit weak as she lost her stamina, before she could fall to the ground, she regained her stance. She wore a coat to cover her spaghetti-sleeve dress since she wasn't used to the brigade of guards planted at almost every corner of the mansion.
She got out to see no one else but a guard standing in front of her door as usual making her wonder who the mole was.
"I wonder why the boss trusts you so much as to reveal my identity to you," the guard said to her.
It was normally weird for a guard to talk to speak but that was when she realized he was a mole. She wondered why he wasn't sent to do the job then remembered she was sent so she could get close to him as his wife.
He led her to the conference room but unusually it wasn't guarded, and she could take a peek at what was happening through the space between the barely open door, she could also hear a little.
"Boss, I don't trust the Anam," the trusted advisor also the consigliere of Blueblood, Deckard Lannister said.
He was the oldest and only advisor and all other advisors had come from his generation, he once served the former mafia king and was now serving Zain.
"She acts suspiciously and is always at the wrong place, at the wrong time" he continued. "I feel she is a mole."
Kaima's nerves rose; she was on the verge of being exposed.
"Well, I don't believe she is" Zain replied in a nonchalant tone.
"I have always sensed moles and now I…"
"Deckard Lannister, you are the oldest and wisest member of Blue blood" he started with seriousness and professionality in histone and composure. "That is why I mean no insult when I say the Anam is no mole, you should search for the mole someplace else"
Kaima felt peace and her respect and love for Zain rose but her guilt rose far more than relief.
"Who's there?" a voice from the Conference room said in an alert tone.
All eyes stared into peeking space and at her blue eyes. She knew she had been caught ad thought of running before she decided to take the risk.
"It's me," she said sheepishly with her head lowered in fear.
The number of eyes on her was unbearable and scary.
"Come over here my Anam" Zain said in a dramatic tone. "You seem to have gotten better.
Kaima slowly walked over to him because it would increase the chance of getting the job done.
When she was so close to him, she pretended to lovingly adjust his collar, and bingo! Her job there was done.
"Good Job" the microphone spoke as she walked out of the silent conference room.
