I continued swinging my sword desperately to defend myself and also to learn my enemies habits. Another 6 months have passed and i had died about 39 more times while fighting demons but i finally got the hang of it but that doesn't mean i am confident enough to take on more than one. The only reason i know how many times i died is because of the fact i can remember each and every death. Kind of like perfect memory.
"Author Here, His memory is basically like the sharigan from naruto where he remembers everything and no he does not have one or anything, I'm just telling you how good his memory is and that he literally cannot forget".
He noticed that the demon had over extended himself from that last slash so he immediately slipped into the demons guard and enter his personal space. Then without any hesitation he drew his sword and bisected the demon into two. He learned obviously that the harder the demon is to kill, the better weapons he can make out of them. He then proceeded to skin and scavenge anything he can from the corpse that could be useful to him.
As soon as he was done he heard another roar coming from behind him. He saw a demonic wyvern diving towards him claws extended. He drew his sword and slashed down at it while trying to avoid it's claws. He managed to injure it but at the same time earned himself three cuts on his arm.
He saw that the wyvern was watching him and knew what it was doing. This type of wyvern is the type to submit submission if you can defeat it without killing it. Well that's what he saw when two wyvern's fought and the losing one submitted itself to the winner. He could use a wyvern to get around more easily.
The problem is not dying while trying to hold back enough not to kill it which is way harder than it seems. The wyvern screeched and Xeos had no choice but to cover his ears and before he could react the wyvern hit him with its long tail and he ended up rolling on the ground for some quite good distance. He got up and brushed off his injuries and decided not to get side tracked.
An hour has past and both parties was covered in various wounds and Xeos was having a hard time keeping his eyes open. He gritted his teeth and was breathing very roughly. He looked towards the wyvern who was laying down and wasn't able to get up. He dragged his battered body towards it and stood before it. The wyvern looked at him ready for its death. Xeos raised his sword and stabbed it down towards it.
A few seconds later, the wyvern opened it's eyes and was surprised it wasn't dead. Upon closer inspection it saw the sword was an inch away from its face. Xeos looked down at it and said with a sharp voice "Submit".
The wyvern seemingly having heard his words and managed to get up. Xeos grabbed his sword ready to fight but was surprised when it actually lower its head to him. Xeos slowly walked up to the wyvern and rubbed it's head. Xeos upon looking at it realized why the fight was a lot easier than he expected was because this wyvern was a new born. He can also tell that it is a female based on the way the face and head looked.
Males have a more rough face with spikes/spines on it's head going down it back all the way to it's tail. Females don't have that and have a more slender and smoother skin and it's scales are more durable than the males.
Xeos kept on petting it and then decided to name it but first he had to take care of his injuries. He motioned it to follow him and it did although roughly since it was just as injured. After walking for 30 minutes, he managed to get to his temporary base. The only reason both him and the wyvern were able to make it so far was because Xeos discovered some berries that can slow down blood loss and it was thanks to it that they made it here.
Xeos even though has worse injuries decided to treat the wyvern's injuries first to show it he means well and wants to prove he cares about her. The wyvern's were a very intelligent species and it could guess it's intentions and motivations. While wearily looking at him, she didn't do anything and let the strange man take care of her injuries.
Once Xeos finished up healing her injuries he hurriedly started to heal and treat his own injuries. It took a while but after he finished he decided to head to bed since he was beyond tired and need to recover it's strength. The wyvern watched the strange man fall asleep and decided to follow it's lead and slowly fell asleep herself.
