Chapter 3 - 3. The King Who Want A Husband For His Daugther

The horse carriage that Princess Cerllynda was riding had started to enter the gates of the Carvandalle Kingdom as it was almost morning. The news of the arrival of a Crown Princess reached the ears of King Carlin, who was none other than the King of the Carvandalle Kingdom, the father of Princess Cerllynda.

"Oh Cerllynda my daughter! Welcome son!" greeted King Carlin as he spread his arms across the wide open doorway of the main door.

Princess Cerllynda who received a warm welcome smiled sweetly and hit her father with a tight hug. She missed the man who was now almost 60 years old.

"Come on in, honey. This really surprises your father, son. Why didn't you tell me when you came back today," said King Carlin, embracing his daughter's thin body, bringing her into the kingdom.

"I'm sorry Father. I want to make a surprise on your birthday tonight," replied Princess Cerllynda with a smile that seemed to never fade.

"Sit down!"

King Carlin sat down on his daughter's body which still looked tiny to him, very much like his late wife Queen Villy, petite body, long blonde hair, clear and beautiful sea blue eyes, only a few parts of her daughter's body resembled him, even barely visible.

Several waiters came to bring food that was still warm and set it on the table. After a variety of warm food with a tantalizing smell to the stomach, it was arranged neatly on the rectangular dining table.

"Let's eat kid! How was it at the academy, by the way?"

Princess Cerllynda took a mouthful of her food and glanced at her father who turned out to be asking about her academy in the north.

"Darling pleases Dad. Look! I got perfect scores and graduated well," said Princess Cerllynda, handing her a piece of white paper containing her academic grades, which made King Carlin very happy to see this perfect score. His daughter is indeed very smart and will soon become his heir as the leader of the Carvandalle Kingdom.

"Dad is very proud of you son."

Princess Cerllynda smiled happily. When was he not proud of her, maybe even King Carlin every day boasted of his only daughter.

They ate quietly, though occasionally discussing a few things about Princess Cerllynda's fun at the academy or discussing the past, before Princess Cerllynda was sent to the academy to learn to be a leader. Yes, an academy containing only royal sons and daughters. Those who will become his father's successors are in the academy.

"Dad, you know your daughter can barely rest on the trip. I will go to my room and clean myself," said Princess Cerllynda as she put her cutlery on an empty white plate.

"Of course son. Rest in peace."

Princess Cerllynda nodded and greeted King Carlin and left the dining room, up the stairs to the top floor where her room was.

Princess Cerllynda slowly opened the whitewashed door, right in front of her room there were two special soldiers guarding her room. The girl went inside and closed the door.

Rolling his eyes, he saw the room that never changed. The room has three rooms, which are none other than a bedroom, a special living room and a bathroom. A very spacious place with clean white painted walls. The decorative wardrobe is right next to the bedroom door, there are arranged a lot of very beautiful collections that make a charming display. There was one long chair and two short chairs in the living room, neatly arranged to resemble the letter 'C', in the middle it was round and medium in size, arranged with beautiful flowers in the middle as well as fresh fruit and a teapot.

"I'm glad my room hasn't changed," he said, turning to look at his family's painting. The three people in the painting are very happy with a smile on their lips, a happy little family.

"Mother, I miss you very much, Mother," he softly touched the graceful and beautiful woman in the painting. He smiled a little following how his mother smiled sweetly there.

Princess Cerllynda turned into her bedroom, she was satisfied to observe this big room. The bedroom has not changed, the big bed, the luxurious wardrobe, the dressing table which is definitely luxurious. Everything in this room is very luxurious and charming.

This time, Princess Cerllynda lay down on the bed in a supine position, her gaze directly looking up there. Namely, the ceiling of the room is pure white like the color of the walls of the room.

"Tok, tok, tok."

There was a knock on the door, causing him to turn his head towards the door. Snorting softly, his rest interrupted.

"Honey, is Daddy bothering you?" Princess Cerllynda immediately got out of bed, walked to the door and opened it.

"Dad, of course you're bothering me," she whined spoiledly, clinging to her father's big hand.

"I'm sorry honey, but I have something to tell you. Come and sit down!" King Carlin led his daughter to sit on the living room sofa, smiling slightly at her.

"What's the matter, dad?" he asked spoiledly.

Yes, Princess Cerllynda is a little spoiled when she is with her parents. But it would be different if it was in a crowded place or in front of all the soldiers and servants of the kingdom.

"Your father is old enough to continue to lead Carvandalle."

King Carlin started his talk, at the age of 60, old enough to rule this vast area.

"I have long wanted a partner in your life, son. In other words, I want you to marry and take over from Father's leadership later. You are old enough to marry, my dear."

Princess Cerllynda immediately fell silent. He never thought about getting married at the age of twenty. In fact, he did not have a lover who would be ready to marry him.

His father is indeed too old, he should rest and hand over the throne to his son. He was an old man who also expected a grandson from his only daughter, whom he had always been proud of.

"But Dad, I-"

Princess Cerllynda lowered her eyes, she didn't want to see her father's aged face. What steps will he take? Should he accept his father's wish?

"I'm planning to set you up with a Prince Cardwell. Besides that, it turns out that many people have come to father to propose to you son, both from the royal and noble circles. Among them are Prince Cardwell, Prince Alberen, Dario, and Freedx. It's up to you to choose which of them. all of them."

Princess Cerllynda massaged her temples gently. Why did his return to the kingdom turn out like this? He didn't want marriage yet, and to make matters worse he didn't know any of them. Should he refuse this?

"Dad, if that's what you want. Let me meet them one by one and I'll think about who is right for me," he answered with a heavy heart.

All this time King Carlin had raised him alone without Queen Villy. Because Queen Villy died when Princess Cerllynda was 12 years old. For the sake of her father who had raised her with love, Princess Cerllynda took her first step. King Carlin seemed happy with his only daughter's answer.
