Chapter 4 - chapter 4

You the most infuriating skeleton I've ever laid my eyes on, said Rowan.

Wow, how many skeleton do you know, asked Griply.

Well…you're the only one I've met so far, said Rowan.

How can I be the most infuriating, if you never met another one, asked Griply.

You know what, I don't have time for this. Let's go said Rowan.

Rowan starts to aimlessly walk into a direction while mumbling about annoying skeleton.

Not to question u fearless leader, do you even know where you going, asked Griply.

Umm, why do you ask, said Rowan.

Because I seen this marked, tree three times, said Griply.

I course I don't know where I'm going, everybody knows if you wander around long enough someone will come and show the way, said Rowan.

That's insane, there's no way that true, said Griply.

It's traveller 101, said Rowan..

Can't you use magic to teleport out of here, asked Griply.

With earth magic, not possible, furthermore unless someone have my exact coordinates then it's virtually impossible to activate teleporting circle, said Rowan.

Well how do exactly do you plan on getting out, this place, because a guide won't just magically pop up, said Griply.

They both heard the crunching of branches behind them, they both reach for there weapon, just waiting for the enemy to approach.

Griply leaped forward with a skeletal sword in his his hand, only to get sent careening back into a tree by a peculiar staff.

What are you doing here, Blodwen, asked Rowan.

Didn't you know, the dazzling sunflower blooms here in abundance, you seem a bit rattled, said Blodwen.

What a weird man, do people often dress like that, asked Griply.

No, that man has a no sense of style, said Rowan.

I rebuke that, just because you don't like it doesn't mean I have no style. You should be careful, your quite close to the draconian Tribe village, there no fans to outsiders, said Blodwen.

Yes, I just experienced there unending hospitality, said Rowan.

Truly, they just let you go, asked Blodwen.

No, apparently I have been called back, by Vog Eidsson, said Rowan.

The closest town is Chaosglade, they should have a teleport circle, it's ten kilometers away, said Blodwen.

West, east, north, or south, asked Rowan.

Whichever the wheels of fate takes us, I do need to grab a few chaotic primers from there. Since I'm going there anyway, and you don't know the way, how about you travel with me for a time, said Blodwen.

Chaotic primers, what are those asked Griply.

Rune stones with a perfect balance of light and dark magic in them, perfect for creating barriers or protecting something, said Blodwen.

Sounds boring, said Griply.

We should start walking before it's get too dark, said Rowan.

Let's move onward then, exclaimed Blodwen.

They all start walking through the forest to get to Chaosglade.

It's starting to get dark. We should make camp, said Rowan.

Does anybody have a tent, asked Griply.

Blodwen glanced at Griply.

Aren't you a skeleton, said Blodwen.

Eh, so what. I like to be comfortable, said Griply.

How odd, said Blodwen.

No more odd then your terrible sense of style, said Rowan.

Don't worry about a tent, I'll create something for us sleep under, said Rowan.

We should find a clearing for you then, said Blodwen.

Hopefully one that's close to a body of water, said Rowan.

Blodwen tapped his staff on the ground, this way, said Blodwen.

They finally get to the clearing, looking around. Trees that seem to try to reach the stars, scattered around are a few berry bushes, and a small watering hole.

Griply rushed to grab a handful of berries and through them in his mouth.

Tasty, did you guys want any, asked Griply.

I doubt my stomach can handle poisonous berries, said Blodwen.

Those are just wildberries, he'll be alright, said Rowan.

Aren't you concerned for your comrade, asked Blodwen.

He's not my comrade, just someone I'm traveling with. If he can't handle a few berries, what use is he to me, asked Rowan.

Such a dangerous thought process, said Blodwen.

Rowan turned around, let his magic flow. He felt the ground seem to resist him, which only caused Rowan to pour more magic into the ground. Knowing persistence is key when working with the earth, he continued to pour his magic into the earth, until finally they had a large earthen shed.

Not bad, said Blodwen.

Not bad, it would have been better. It would've been a house but the ground was resisting me, said Rowan.

Probably because you're inefficient with your magic, said Blodwen.

Easy to judge on your Hightower, said Rowan.

It's is, magic quantity does not equal magic quality, said Blodwen.

You worry about your own magic, I'll worry about mine, said Rowan.

I'll take first watch, said Rowan.

I'll take second watch, said Griply.

It seems I'll take third watch, said Blodwen.

Griply and Blodwen walked in the shed.

As Rowan looked in the distance he couldn't help but ponder where this journey would take him, would he rise to the challenge or would his enemy be too strong to face directly.

As Rowan looked into the sky he could make out a glowing white kingdom in the sky, Isle Of The Blessed. They say only the truly heroes go there. No attack has ever reached there kingdom, no storm that could sully their kingdom. Rowan knows that no kingdom can be free of violence, the blood of our enemies is what help our kingdoms prosper.

A biting wind blow around him, letting Rowan know that it's almost his time to get some sleep.

Rowan watched as the fog rolled in, he watched as ambiguous figures rose out the fog and danced through the sky.

Some danced through the sky, a few was imitating different fighting styles, a couple were swooping in and out of the fog, one was even waving towards him.

Abruptly Rowan could hear a loud noise that seemed similar to the sound of a glass breaking, suddenly he could see a visible shockwave wash over him and his surroundings, causing no real damage.

Griply seemed to simply appear next to him.

I've never seen a backlash so strong that it felt by everybody, said Griply.

Rowan breathed in, he could smell sulfur in the air. That wasn't just any backlash, something powerful was just released, may Orvard save our soul, whispered Rowan.

Should we awake Blodwen, asked Griply.

No, let him sleep, theres no need to chase echos of power, said Rowan.

Get sleep, Griply exclaimed.

No need to tell me twice, said Rowan.

Rowan turned around to walk in the shed.He found himself a nice corner to curl up in, within minutes he's lured into the dream world.
