Synopsis
After working for several years, Claretta, an employee of the CBL News Jakarta office, had a rare chance to fill the role of an executive assistant at CBL News' main office in New York City. Before Claretta worked in New York, her company officially invited her for a final interview and training in Los Angeles. Then, she meets Cecilia who introduces her to an app to link Sugar Daddy and Sugar Baby on a contract basis.   At first, Claretta ignored all of Cecilia's words. Although in the end, she used the app to kill time. With one swipe, Claretta immediately got her match with a Sugar Daddy named S. S/ Shiloh Sullivan. Because Claretta didn't know anyone in Los Angeles apart from Cecilia and Sinta, her co-worker, who wasn't very close to her, she communicated with her match. Claretta spends a lot of time with Shiloh, so she feels comfortable regardless of their sugar daddy and sugar baby status. Unbeknownst to Claretta, Shiloh, her sugar Daddy is the CEO at CBL News's main office in New York City.    Claretta, who is already comfortable with Shiloh, is now presented with a choice between the job she wants or the relationship between her Sugar Daddy and Sugar Baby. Can she get it all or is there anything she must sacrifice?

Chapter 1 - I

We never know what will happen in the future. Maybe all this time only in the mind becomes a reality. As a quote from author Earl Nightingale, "we become what we think about." Even unintentionally spoken words can match the power of our minds. Therefore, the word is called Spelling. We create what we have said.

No wonder many motivators or great people warn us to be careful with our thoughts and words. Although, of course, I took that advice lightly. However, now I fully believe it.

I need sugar daddy, to come to pay my bill, pay my bill

"No! No! Why did this song appear?" I said shyly. I saw the whole room staring at me with contempt. I guess it's not only Indonesians who think badly of sugar daddies and sugar babies but my office mates who are mostly American and a few Asians think so.

I was listening to a sugar daddy song that accidentally played. Because I don't have an MP3 Player, of course, I used my cell phone as a medium to play songs. Usually, I organize songs through various playlists that I created. However, since it was a very busy day, I played the song and set it in loop mode. It's my habit to play songs often at work. Since I'm not a fan of headsets, I always listen to songs with fairly loud speakers. It's true, I love listening to Sugar Daddy's song, but everyone doesn't have to know that I like this song personally.

I don't want to be seen as weird and I don't want to attract attention or cause trouble here. As a note. I, Claretta, am a lucky woman. After working hard at the CBL News company in Indonesia for seven years starting from the lowest staff position, namely a junior journalist, I passed the test for an executive assistant at the branch office in New York City, United States. This is something every office woman craves, especially for CBL News employees.

Tick-tock!

It had been some time since that embarrassing incident happened. Everyone returned to their work. Finally, it's 5 pm. Time for every CBL News employee who has been waiting to meet his beloved mattress loved ones and family. I saw everyone packing their things and leaving. Originally I also wanted to follow them but I held back for a while.

Ding!

I heard incoming messages from the cell phone that was on the desk. I saw the name on it, S.S. A special and secret abbreviation name. Quickly, I opened the message.

[ Are you ready?]

I read incoming messages. However, I waited a while to look in the mirror to see my face. I saw some sweat running down my face. I can also see some black dots scattered on various sides. After I am done looking at my face in the mirror, I looked at the clothes I was wearing and immediately replied to a message from S.S.

[I look so shabby. I have to go home and take a shower.]

A minute after I sent my message, I receive a reply from him.

[I don't care if you didn't take a bath or didn't take a shower, you will always look beautiful in my eyes <3]

"Ah, he did his pickup line," I thought.

There is a saying that goes, "Men fall in love with their eyes and women fall in love with their words." So it is very natural for some women to melt when a man says sweet and throws a shot of death. Especially if the scum comes from a CEO of a leading company in this superpower country.

Who doesn't want to get a handsome, rich, and successful man? I think almost all women want it. Why? Because almost all women have Damsel in Distress syndrome. Thanks, Disney. You introduced us to the story of the handsome and rich prince who married Cinderella, a commoner who was lucky to marry a prince while her stepmother and her stepsister torture her. Now, all women want to get the same fate. Not to forget, a collection of Wadopad stories about a rich mafia who marries a poor girl or a CEO who marries his subordinates.

Ding!

[Hey, why didn't you reply to my messages?]

I almost forgot to reply to S.S's message because my thought make me carry away. Then, I immediately typed a few words to reply. Not yet, I finished typing; I received a new message from S.S.

[I'm behind you.]

I widened my eyes and immediately turned around. I saw S.S standing behind his desk carrying a bag with a brand name, Lala. I saw a sweet smile tugging at his lips. Saying nothing, he immediately walked toward me. I still didn't move from where I was and only saw him getting closer. The closer he got, the more I could inspect his figure. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. He also has a sharp nose but is not too big. In addition, he has pale white skin like a vampire in the Twilight movies.

"Why did you come to my room, Sir?" I asked as I got up from the chair where I was sitting. I looked around and was aware of my surroundings.

"Don't worry, before I went to your place, I had looked around and made sure there were no other employees besides you," replied S.S casually.

Our relationship is indeed a secret relationship that no one should know about. Indeed, some companies allow relationships with fellow employees. Some allow the relationship between superiors and subordinates. However, our relationship is not that simple.
