Kio, standing on a whole pile of stone tablets, looked around.
"Who would have thought that at the moment when I examine the stove, its owners are going to call it back. Perhaps it was stupid to blindly teleport to who knows where, but if I had not done so, the tablet would have been lost, and without it it was not possible to trace the location of Sen and Leiko.
Surrounded by creatures unknown to him, Kyo tried to study them as carefully as possible in order to at least roughly understand what to expect from them.
They, in turn, apparently did the same thing.
"I have no idea who they are or what power they have. Of course, I feel the energy emanating from their bodies, but this in itself does not do much.
Suddenly, with a hissing sound, ten mysterious creatures soared into the air without opening their hands, after which their bodies shone with green light, and numerous beams descended to the bottom.
[The element of light. Mirror Barrier.] - As soon as the person below said this, his entire body shone with a whitish-gray color, and becoming like a mirror, reflected all the descending rays.
"I don't know what kind of attack this is, but an extra precaution won't hurt," he thought to himself.
Beings obviously surprised by this fact, perplexed, continued to increase the strength of the light emitted by them, but everything was in vain, the mirror barrier simply simply reflected all the rays, not allowing any of them to break through to the body of the magician.
"I think they still attack me, but it's useless, such a primitive light strike won't take me… What's that?"
Unexpectedly for Kio, the tablets on which he stood began to absorb the light reflected from him, and, being filled with it, they began to flicker, and then completely cracked.
Seeing from the corner of his eye how the creatures hovering over his head were erecting a multi-layered barrier, Kyo clearly understood what would happen next.
A powerful explosion rocked the dungeon, ripping apart a massive metal door and splitting a huge runestone in half.
Still hovering under the base of the stone vault, the creatures remained completely unharmed, reflecting most of the blast wave back to its epicenter.
A stream of scanning energy swept through the room.
Not finding their opponent, the mysterious creatures calmly descended. But here, in the still settling dust, they found a certain clot of black jelly-like energy, several meters in size. And before they even realized something, a lump, dark, like night itself, flew out of this clot at great speed. Which, literally smashed the head of one of the blue-skinned, completely breaking their construction.
Immediately reacting to this attack, an unearthly-looking creature, pointing their palms at the enemy, immediately counterattacked with some red, more like a laser beams. Koi, coming out of their palms, literally vaporized the jelly-like monster, on which, the previous explosion, could not even leave a scratch.
Convinced that the monster that attacked them was dead, a group of unknown creatures began a second, more thorough scan of the dilapidated room.
But this activity could not give them any results. For their opponent, a true master of the magical arts, had long ago, using the fastest of spatial techniques, moved to the surface.
"Hmmm… It looks like these creatures can change the spectrum of their radiation, at the same time changing its qualities," Kio reasoned to himself, levitating over the dungeon, "the green spectrum, apparently, somehow affects the subtle aspects of being, and the red one is intended for the destruction of hard-material objects. But still, what a powerful effect this laser-like radiation has, which is like that in a second, is able to vaporize dark slime that is resistant to fire and light magic…"
Raising his palm up, the head of the true people made a decision:
"They are too dangerous to be left alive, besides, they saw me and are able to identify."
[The element of light. Seal of the sky.] A hundred-meter energy seal, rectangular in shape, flickered in the sky.
[Punishment of the sun, sizzling ray.] - like a giant prism, the seal in the sky, breaking the light falling on it into different radiation spectra, gathered it again in its center, and concentrating the energy into one point, immediately splashed out in the form of a beam, all the accumulated her power.
Like a knife cutting through butter, the strongest stream of solar energy literally pierced the ground in the dungeon area, incinerating everything in its path, sparing no one.
And as soon as the flash of light faded, a terrible picture of the consequences of such a powerful technique appeared.
At the site of the dungeon, a crater filled with molten stone ore gaped. And all around him, plants reduced to ashes danced slowly in the gusts of wind, on the now desolate land.
"Time to go, I made too much noise. But it's for the best, if Sen and Leiko are alive, they should notice this incident and react accordingly. If there is no reaction, then this can mean only two options. They are dead, or captured, and incapacitated. Either way, it's time to retreat."
* * *
Already at the western ruins, the elves were closely following the technique they knew well, punishment of the sun.
"That's Master Kyo's technique brother, isn't it?" Leiko asked with a radiant smile.
- Definitely, there can be no mistake, it is the ancestor of true people who makes a rustle in the southern forest.
"So we should go back?"
"No, it's too dangerous, and besides, it doesn't make sense. We know that now we are not alone, and this is the main thing. I don't want to take any more rash actions, if you Leiko also loses power, it will be a disaster for our family. You need to figure out how to signal. Let's make a halt and consider a plan of action.
